  4. Justin Your profile as now been updated, you're all good to go now
  5. Dag Nabbit!!....the secret is out about these little beauties I've got one of these fantastic pieces and they truly are a thing of beauty. They've been cast from a real MG-34 and the detail is brilliant. They strip down into 3 pieces (bipod and two part twist fit on the barrel) for ease of transport. Really quick and easy to strip down and put back together and the 'pool cue' style connector on the barrel is fantastic. I was lucky enough to be able to compare this bad boy up against a HyperFirm recently and was really surprised by how they matched up. Weight;- BIG, BIG surprise, in fact I was shocked that there wasn't a lot in it. I really thought the HF would be much lighter. Detail;- The old 'Droopy Draws' wins just by a whisker. All the barrel vent holes have been drilled and comes with T-Track fitted not 100% accurate but still pretty darn good, and the conical disc side greeblie, so you only have to add is the fixing wires and the feed tray cover and the DLT-19 conversion is complete. Durability;- This is where the HyperFirm will win every time. The resin cast is quite robust but if you did the old "lets drop it from a great height on to a slab of concrete" test, then the HF will come out untouched but I would say you would definitely be sticking a good few pieces back together on the poor old injured DD. Unfortunately I didn't have time to get any pictures of the big face off between these two beautiful beasts as I had to get the HF in the post to make sure that it reached a friends home for his birthday. Here's a couple of the oh so beautiful DoopyDoo's DLT-19 I Love this blaster and I've got to say that's worth every penny of the asking price Hope this as helped
  6. Richard The MG-15 was given a SW designate last year, its the RT-97C but no one uses it though <a href="http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/RT-97C" target="_blank">http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/RT-97C Shiv No mate, just the DLT-19 / MG-34 for the shiny whites I'm afraid. You have to make your self nice and dirty or go HWT to be able to be 100% cannon with all those other sweet BFG's

  10. Steve Congratulations on your clearance mate, Welcome to the Fighting 501st I've updated your profile to '501st Member' as your TK costume hasn't been listed yet on the main 501st site. It takes a little while before they process the information from garrison GML's so keep your eye on it and let us know and I'll amend your profile to full 'Stormtrooper' status.
  11. Mark Sorry for all the fannying about, as you know this was passed on to Greg but nothing seems to be moving forward on it So what I've done is update your new account and status and I've changed the old one to 'Member' and put a post restriction on it so for all means and purposes its inactive. Sorry for the mucking about mate, hopefully you should be all OK now...just don't change your email address
  12. Shiv Looking mighty darn fine there mate, As Terrell said, need a picture showing the lens color, so stick your lid over a lamp & take a shot so that you can show that the colour is green because it doesn't come out too well in the photos. Other then that I think you are good to go as soon as you get your TK number and costume listed up on the main 501st
  13. Eric Looking sweet mate, brilliant job, well done The only little thing that I'd would change are the ends of the frown, they seem to end a bit too square.Perhaps follow it through past the un cut last teeth on each side Maybe a bit more like this Great work mate

  17. Paul Topic title edited for you mate
  18. Vincent Most HIPS helmets are usually pulled in a lower gauge thickness than the accompanying armour to retain more detail from the molds. You will always have weak spots on helmets even with ABS some are just weaker than others. I have an ABS Gino V1 and one of the wells where the Hovi's sit is as thin as tissue paper, one strong gust of wind and you could take a shave through that sucker. As Derek said, most of these areas can be reinforced from the inside using some thin cotton / old T-Shirt and some CA glue. You would only really need to do this in certain areas as the rest of the helmet is normally pretty sturdy. For the armour I would definitely fix finishing strips to the inside as well as the outside for added strength. You can also reinforce the edges where you will get a lot of wear in the same way as the helmet or you can use a thin bead of epoxy 2 pack which does the job just as well. This is not restricted to just HIPS suits as ABS can go in the same spots with excessive use. A friend of mine in the UKG as a T M and trooped 78 times last year and is already up to 44 so far this year and he's reinforced most of the prominent edges and he's had no problems with it (touch wood) as a result.
  19. Ron Looks pretty darn fine to me As Paul said just needs a strap from the cod to the but* Nice work Sir!
