  1. A new blaster and a few costume adjustments, and you'll be all set. The makerofthings blaster looks like an ESB E-11 (no Hengstler counter), does he sell ANH blasters?
  2. I had the same problem with my chest plate riding up and shoulders riding back. Billy Haggis showed me a way to strap the ab piece to the chest piece, it solved both problems. http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=5749 In addition to shortening the drop box straps, I suggest attaching them to the plastic utility belt instead of the canvas part, and using 1" wide straps across the biceps (it looks like you have 2" straps).
  3. Once again, outstanding job. Congratulations, it's well deserved.
  4. It looks like the bells have been trimmed in PART 2 of the photos.
  5. Looks good. Then again, I'd expect nothing less from the UKG. I didn't see any problems, should be an easy yes.
  6. I use snaps, that way I can take the holster on and off, makes for easier packing. Rivets are no doubt more secure, but permanent. Hang on to the right-handed holster. If you decide to go ESB or sell it to someone who wants to go ESB, it'll come in handy.
  7. For fast, easy, non-precision cuts I use tin snips. For detailed work, I prefer the score/snap method using a hobby knife. I prefer not to use the dremel, as I've found it tends to melt the ABS.
  8. That's where I have my butt cut. The cod cut up front isn't required for EIB, and I've seen mixed opinions on whether or not it's worth it in terms of going #1. Personally, I didn't do it. I'm just careful about managing my fluid intake, especially during long troops.
  9. Thank you for your service, sir. Here's to the next 3,000 posts.
  10. A lot of new troopers nowadays are opting for the FX-lite kit with the MRCE bucket. An MRCE is more accurate than the FX, costs less than an AP, they are readily available, and Legion-accepted.
  11. Those look far better than the grey bubble lenses in your avatar. Excellent job.
  12. You do it by indentifying, controlling and/or destroying the planet's "centers of gravity." Political/military leadership, economic/industrial centers, vital communications links, key goverment facilities, etc. Apply your forces where they will have maximum effect at minimum cost. Think of the "shatterpoint" technique in Star Wars lore. Attack the right points, and the whole thing collapses, whether it's a person, machine, or an entire society.
  13. Congratulations! Let's keep the EIBs coming!
  14. Are you looking for screen-accurate or non-screen accurate? There's at least one tutorial here on how to make stylized white TK binders, and I recall seeing a seller on eBay some time ago. Either way, here's a link:---------
  15. You'll want to raise the belt a bit and change out the straps holding the drop boxes from black to white. Other than that, great job, especially with the thighs.
  16. Congratulations! Let's keep the Elite apps coming!
  17. Your best bet is to start reading through the Elite requirements and submission threads and making the Elite-required mods. They are mostly small changes that collectively make a world of difference. From there, if you want to take it further you can do things like trimming the chest piece & adding a return edge, adding a return edge to the shoulder bells, tapering the thighs, swapping out for AP or RT-Mod parts, etc.
  18. Congratulations, and outstanding choice!
  19. A bunch of us have done it, myself included. It works great in conjunction with the chest plate mod. http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=3938
  20. I got my hobby iron from Amazon.com, just do a search for "sealing iron" and a few should pop up. And congratulations on making Elite right away, your kit looks great!
  21. An outstanding group all around, congrats to all and to the FISD! Here's to the future being in good hands.
