  1. Better to wait on the TKBoots.
  2. A Hyperfirm, while not as customizable as a scratch-build, will also get you there. Plus it's lightweight and extremely durable.
  3. Moved to ebay section.
  4. Great job! See you at DragonCon!
  5. Looking good as always. Have you considered sending the oversized T-shirt back in exchange for one that fits more to your liking?
  6. Happy Birthday Tom. Like Mason said, thanks for all the work (past, present, and future), and I'm sure I'll see you next year at C6.
  7. 17.5 inches. Happy to help.
  8. Looks like you still need a D-ring on the E11. Armor looks great!
  9. Nah, better to position them so that the outer edge of the drop box is aligned with the outer edge of the ammo belt.
  10. Looks pretty good, and congratulations on the weight loss. My recommendations - none of which should affect the EIB decision - are to bring in the drop boxes a bit, slightly adjust your chest/back so that the chest sits a bit lower (and in turn brings up the back), and get on the waiting list for a set of TKBoots.
  11. Based on the photo in your introduction thread, it looks like you have an FX kit. Those don't have return edges on the forearms, so you're already good there. But for reference, here is a pic of my AM forearms - which do come with wrist return edges. I trimmed them off in order to meet Centurion requirements. Progress pic below. On the left - untrimmed. On the right - trimmed away (and I've since trimmed the return edges back even further).
  12. I'd ask MightyTank if he has any extras from the AM kits he sells.
  13. I wouldn't worry about sitting so much - other than Han, you didn't see any seated stormtroopers in any of the movies. Whenever I'm in armor, I always assume I'll be on my feet the entire time. If you must sit, however, perhaps you could use strapping that is of greater elasticity. Another alternative is either undo the butt-to-crotch connection and flip up the buttplate, or take it off altogether. Snap system instructions: ----
  14. I'd say your best bet is to find someone with accurately-sized handplates and use those as a trimming guide. Otherwise, you could refer to photos here - ideally screen-caps - to get an idea of how big the handplates should be relative to the size of your hand, and go from there. Before you do any trimming, trace a cut outline with a pencil first. That way you ensure you're happy with the potential results first.
  15. That is an incorrect statement. FX helmets are acceptable for 501st membership. However, they are not approvable for Expert Infantry and/or Centurion - both of which are optional costuming standards. The AM helmet is essentially the same as the FX helmet, the only difference being that the dome is rounded (versus the flat dome on the FX). Please take a look at the CRLs:------------
  16. Happy birthday, bro.
  17. Happy Birthday Karin! Thank you for your immense contributions to our community.
  18. Ha! Does anyone here write Aurebesh and can offer a translation?
  19. Indeed it is a beauty. I looked at the website, and like you said - lots of photos. There is also just enough of it in English to understand what this is, and for the rest Google Translate actually provided a decent translation (as far as I can tell, anyway) of the German text. Unfortunately, IMO there's no way in hell I'd be able to get that past U.S. Customs.
  20. Out of curiosity, where did you get the E11 from? Was it something you built yourself, had built on commission, or bought as part of a run?
  21. The full photo collection is already contained within a pinned topic: http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=10786
  22. Agreed. I have a set myself.
  23. As any sandtrooper can attest to, wearing a thermal detonator with the pack is highly impractical. I personally tried it once, it didn't work out so well.
  24. Novus 2 is usually the recommended polishing product. Better still is to leave any minor scuffing intact - it adds a bit of realism.
