  1. Templates saved and printed and will be starting my build soon! Having a squadmate 3D print an E11 for me as well. My son is only 3 but is very excited to move from his TK pajamas to the foam armor. Thanks for the awesome build thread and of course, we will post some pics here!
  2. We still need to plan and schedule that photo shoot at Eric's back yard!
  3. Thanks Tim for asking me to contribute to the "Memoirs" section of the newsletter. It was the best of my 100+ troops and getting to share it makes it even better.
  4. Joe, have you decided what size cover strips you're gonna use? As for which leg is which, on the ankle the long side should go on the outside if I'm not mistaken. I have an ATA kit though but am pretty sure that's right. Also, for the backs make sure the cover strip is glued on the outside of the calf and velcros to the inside.
  5. Needs to be pinned...great work Joe!
  6. Yeah I heard that too about the next 3 being here and was surprised that they had it in Cali (although it made sense). Please come home Celebration!!!
  7. Oh man! I'm so glad I saw this thread as I to am starting a foam build although it's for my very small 3 yo son. I'll be eagerly watching your progress and will make a thread as well. I could only find 2 build threads so this one helps a lot!
  8. I've been hearing that they weren't happy with Anaheim's smaller size so hopefully that will work in our favor! The Florida Garrison is ready and willing to take on C8!!!
  9. It will most likely be here in Orlando, Fl
  10. Check out my squadmates recent Centurion submission as he's almost the same size as you. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/31095-tk-18421-request-anh-stunt-centurion-status-ata162/
  11. Eek! $450....ummm...no thanks!
  12. Jonathan, I just saw a post last night of someone working on the gasket issue and had 3 samples with different thread used. edit: Just found the thread and Crow is working on them, shoes and gloves.
  13. TK group photo is locked in for the first Saturday (the 16th) right after the parade so everyone look your best!
  14. Velcro the shins only as there's no need to do the arms. Have the cover strip attached to the "outside" and use the soft Velcro on the "inside" and make sure to wrap it around the edge. Put the hard Velcro on the under side of the cover strip.
  15. Andrew, signups are open till May 8th so get cracking!!!
  16. Cool! I'm only marching Saturday the first weekend so I'll see you there. Depending on the TK count, we may get a group photo right after the parade.
  17. Try using Meguiars Plastx first. I've been using it for over a year and it's awesome. You can get it at local auto parts stores.
  18. Matthew, I ended up taking quite a lot off of mine and I'm 5'9. Like Joe said, use a pencil and do it in small amounts until you're happy. Just make sure you keep the contour the same and don't "round off" the tops like I've seen happen before. You want the top of your thighs to follow the cod piece like the group photo above.
  19. Hahahaha!!! Joe! Welcome to the Florida Garrison.
  20. Tim, Usually only the first Saturday has been close to full. Just make sure your on the thread and submit as soon as it opens. TK's are always welcomed by the Mouse...if they had their way, it's all they'd want for the parade. Looking forward to meeting you and make sure you hydrate starting the day before.
  21. Your biceps could come up some and I agree the bells need to be rolled forward just a bit. Also, I'd get a little better bend in the shoulder straps so they lay on your back plate better. Your forearms are also rolled back too far. looking good overall though.
  22. I just heard that they are shortening the time between the "dog sniff" and suit up. Looks like they are going to preassemble the line up for each weekend before hand so it may go: Dog sniff/morning meeting, bins in and suit up, march to stepoff and line up there. Overall time will be shorter this year.
  23. Here are some pics of the displayed TK in Seattle. Enjoy! -----------
