  1. I have both smooth and rough latex hand guards so really depends what look you want to go for, I do prefer my rough looking ones, more screen accurate. I also played with some finishes in the past, screen printing paint, brushed onto raw latex gloves, then it is heat sealed in a moderate oven, came out pretty well.
  2. 1, Basic: Not mentioned (within reason) EIB: Any gap between the abdomen and kidney armor is no more than 1/2" (12.5mm) wide Centurion: Ideally there is no gap between the abdomen and kidney armor. 2, I use heavy elastic, with cap rivets and snaps, with strips of ABS glued to the elastic so they don't twist. I found you need to make the holes in the elastic slightly smaller so there is already some pull in the elastic, once on it's pretty tight and doesn't seem to come apart, but then again I don't have much meat on the bones. On my other kit I didn't use snaps, just elastic, cap rivets and ABS strips glued to the elastic.
  3. There does seem to be a few things different, the flare looks small, the nose comes out a little far and the mouth has a much wider gap BUT I would suggest contacting your GML (garrison membership liaison) directly after all he/she will be the one ultimately looking over your application.
  4. All good, just thought I'd ask. I am building, when aren't I
  5. Noticed over the last few weeks that the header menu moved down the page, which I found handy, but seems to have gone back to normal now and stationary. Also when I send a pm it is now grey font on a white background and a little hard to read, anyone else have this?
  6. Ahhh memories of a time before TFA, patience is definitely a prerequisite when dealing with Anovos Unfortunate is the delay BUT they will deliver in the end
  7. https://www.anovos.com/pages/first-order-stormtrooper-standard-kit-updates First Order Stormtrooper Standard Kit - Updates Current Shipping Estimate: Fall 2017 (September 22 - December 21) Latest Update: August 29th, 2017 During production of this kit our quality control team discovered that many pieces did not meet our high quality standards and these imperfections warranted the halt of production on these pieces. To be more specific, as part of the process of quality control our team randomly 3D scans our own vacuform bucks. During this process, they found a couple issues that they decided to take action on : life of the mold and inaccuracy. The first thing they discovered was that these molds only had a maximum half life of a few more pulls which would have then compromised the integrity and wastage of subsequent pulls. Secondly, by bringing these molds into the 3D environment, they noticed contouring issues that did not allow for the armor to line up correctly. Therefore, they decided to not only remake the molds in steel, but they also decided to go back to scans they had taken from the original armor actually used on set and reprint them for the purposes of this kit. In essence, for quality and accuracy reasons the armor pieces have returned to the early pre-production stages. Our team has assigned extra personnel to the project in order to mitigate further delays to this kit. Unfortunately, after reviewing the potential effects this discovery has upon our previous production schedule it was determined that we must update the anticipated delivery window to Fall 2017.
  8. Yes seen previously here, shame the figures differ
  9. You had one job and that was to make sure you painted black on all the pieces needed, ok so don't look at the box for reference
  10. Seems some difference in the lenses
  11. Nice work, looking forward to the progress
  12. Congratulations and welcome to the ranks trooper
  13. I have some glued and other sections that get sweaty I had Velcro so I can remove and wash
  14. You may get away with the belt position for EIB but I would say it will need to be correct for Centurion. You could add some foam behind your sniper plate knee to help hold it out away from your thigh.
  15. Congratulations and welcome to the ranks trooper
  16. Hello and welcome to the ranks trooper
  17. Congratulations trooper and welcome to the ranks
  18. Still have some painting to finish, been cold and wet here for some time. From the Black Series Executioner Box: "The First Order can only operate effectively with the absolute loyalty of its followers. Should any soldier be found guilty of treason, it is up to this special branch of Stormtroopers to dispense final justice"
  19. One of our heightwarldy troopers used to carry a version of a swear box, but this one said "FINE FOR CALLING ME SHORT" and each time someone said the short joke he would produce it and ask for payment, it all went to charity
  20. I've been lucky with paint scratches, used an automotive acrylic paint and clear coat which matched the helmet perfectly and I think in 2 years I've had to touch up 3 chips/scratches.
  21. Looks like a variation of a T-21 with DH-17 scopes fitted. The space trooper pack is part of the ANH Stormtrooper options but the blaster is not mentioned.
  22. I had a similar problem once before and use some cutting polish called T-Cut, it's used for removing light scratches, a bit of elbow grease and it was gone, good luck
  23. Yes there are a few
