Nice work there, just a couple of things. Just watch bunching with your undersuit, there a bulge coming out on your right side chest to arm gap. Your boots look very grey compared to the armor, did you paint/dye yourself, if so I'd suggest going over with another coat. Thigh cover strips should not go all the way to the bottom, should stop above the lower ridge, same on the back, stop above the lower ridge. With the shins the coverstrips go all the way up on the shin fronts, but on the back they should stop below the top ridge. Did you need the extra size on your cover strips for room? If not they are a little big. You may want to try bringing up your ab plate a little more, would give you a bit more room at the top of the thighs, make it easier to move about. You trimmed the AB plate buttons a little too far, not sure if your GML will pick up on that. Holster looks very wrinkly, I would perhaps look for a stiffer one, again it's up to your GML. Drop boxes should align with the end of the plastic belt, a dab of E6000 can stop them moving You could take a little more out of the corners of the teeth I would try to clean up some of your tube stripes, tooth picks are great for getting rid of any excess, also ideally the correct fall is Back ////////// Front, but again not an issue for basic approval If you want to make your black stripes a little straighter you can go over them with a permanent black marker You could also get rid of the extra fabric on the belt, they also normally go right side over left but not a biggy for base approval Belt could come up a bit but again not a base requirement. All in all nice work and good luck with approval.

I found ATA are on the smaller side compared to others. You could purchase shoulder bells from another maker but the problem there is that the colors may not match. From memory RS have some pretty big shoulder bells but I'm not sure about there color match to SDS. Have a look through some of the build threads, will give you an idea of different armor pieces sizing. Also looking through your pre approval thread the bells look like they could come in more by bringing the shoulder bell strap further forward on your shoulder strapping, it that makes sense. Something like this, closer to the front so they want to pull inwards.

Hello and welcome aboard, for scout trooper head over to the Pathfinder Detachment here http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/index.php

You will find that the crack will be covered mostly with the ears. You can have any cracks/pieces missing and exposed prosthetics behind, you don't have to follow the CRL image they are there as a guide, just don't go overboard, a nice tips thread here https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/16595-death-trooper-tips/ One thing to also bare in mind is: This particular costume may not be welcome at all 501st events. This is not recommended as a primary Legion membership costume, for which events you would have to contact your GCO and GML. Looking at your images some of the details are quite soft and pieces that should be separate are molded to the armor, personally I would go for a Death Trooper build but entirely up to you.

I've also seen the interior images and it is definitely different to the standard line, but that may be because the are asking over $6000 for the whole package -

Congratulations trooper and welcome to the ranks -
Hi and welcome aboard, unfortunate that you discovered the forum too late but it does happen. If it were me I'd probably look at a death trooper build, but having some photos of your kit would definitely help us help you. Post up some images, a lot of us use Imgur a free photo host, once upload you can copy the image links directly into your post. Make sure you check the CRL's (costume reference library) for base requirements of a TK death trooper https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TK_deathtrooper Looking forward to seeing some images, good luck what ever you decide.

MissingNo Requesting Pre Approval Review (ATA)
gmrhodes13 replied to MissingNo's topic in Request TK Pre-Approval
Congratulations trooper and welcome to the ranks, it was worth the extra effort. Hope to see you at EIB in the not too distant future -
You can request 501st/Stormtrooper access here Appears your shoulder bells have a big gap between them and the shoulder straps, the elastic is being pulled outwards, perhaps tighten the shoulder strap elastic, doubled over can help, then see if this reduces the gap at the top.

I used a dry brush and sponge for my sandy with water based acrylic paint, once it dries you can dry rub with a sponge to remove areas not needed, great if you want paint to stay in grooves and crevasse . Small amount of paint on a dry sponge is good for flat sections which only need a scuff. I've seen others use graphite powder and charcoal, really it's what every you feel the more confident of using.

Nice work, almost there.

The back bar looks a little big. I don't have the steadiest of hands so I paint what I can with the black then use a permanent marker to straighten lines and corners Can find some nice helmet references here: http://www.starwarshelmets.com/original-ANH-Stunt-Stormtrooper-armor-helmets.htm

You don't have to use the pre approval forum here for 501st approval its just a nice way to iron out any issues before you submit your application to your GML. The application is done in two parts, you need to fill in the 501st online application and supply 5 sets of ID numbers, you pick 5 in case some are taken while your application is being reviewed, link here https://www.501st.com/members/join_form.php You then send high quality images to your GML (garrison membership liaison) check on your garrison forum as some GML's prefer them sent in different ways. Once the GML gives you the OK the process then goes back to the 501st to finalise the application and issue your TKID (set of number you picked) once you have this set of numbers it is with you for life, you will then be notified from the 501st. Hope that explains it a little better.

Looking good, drop box straps should be a shorter, you only want enough space so they can move. A lot of people using the metal bracket system add extra strips of abs behind to add a little more strength, they can crack the armor very easily. Any gaps you may still have between joins (bottom of thigh back) you can add a scrap piece of ABS behind so it's not so noticeable, some use ABS past and sand/polish. Keep up the good work

First Order Rocket Trooper References - Comic

Unfortunately a different version with no chest box or harness -
I was initially looking for more images of this First Order Rocker Trooper below which I came across by accident, I quite liked the rocket harness similar to heavy weapons. Then I came across these, shame the drawing are inconsistent, one showing straps to the chestbox, but not on others. I've not been into comics for some years but I will have to start reading them now.
