  2. Great to see you back at this Justin With this being a TFA based costume I'm wondering if we need to include ALL of the TLJ Thermal Detonator requirements, some you just couldn't tell, like the inner floating pipe. I also think the end cap is not as big as the TLJ detonator as we see in the reference below. If we stay with the TFA Thermal Detonator requirements you could just add a black cap or paint the whole end and paint the top slit to resemble the reference. Personally I would think this would be an easier option rather than having to purchase another detonator TLJ style. TFA CRL information, remove one piece and add a L2 requirement like the TLJ Thermal Detonator The thermal detonator mounting plate sits under the back plate and rests above the belt. The control panel is black. The righthand recessed end cap is black. The lefthand end cap extends from the detonator assembly and is black all around the cylinder as well as the end surface. A white stripe is present around the end of the cylinder that extends slightly onto the circular surface. A visible seam is allowed between the cylinder and backing plate. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): The slot that runs across the top of the detonator shall have a black decal or be painted black at the bottom of the groove. On the blaster I did find this detail previously, rear sight is painted white like the F-11D Blaster Rifle I'm not sure if we would allow a sling, I've not seen one in the game and there is NO D ring so a sling couldn't be attached anyway Optional Accessories Items below are optional costume accessories. These items are not required for approval, but if present appear as described below. If adding in an accessory after initial approval, the item still needs to be submitted to local GML for approval before use. F-11D Blaster Blaster may be scratch-built, or a modified commercial toy Stormtrooper blaster. Blaster may have a sling attached. Details to be painted black, white and silver per reference photos. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Rear sight is painted black. white D ring mount painted silver, if D ring is present it should be rectangular in shape and painted black 3D printed blasters can not contain visible print lines and must be sanded smooth for a more realistic appearance. OPTIONAL Level three certification (if applicable): Working green light in the Hengstler counter and working front torch are required. Front handle must be movable.
  3. There is a post on the 90's tour suits here https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/3948-tour-suit/#comment-50785 Also info from starwars.com http://www.starwarshelmets.com/original-TOUR-stormtrooper-armor-helmets.htm There have been other makers of fiberglass helmets many years ago, one a chap who worked at one of the film studios who apparently took a mold from a screen used helmet, there was also a lot of recasting back in the "good old days" unfortunately a lot of those older threads have images missing https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/1205-any-information-on-this-helmet/#comment-13745 What is weird on this helmet has no black lines in the rear traps, also the straight tube stripes. Found a few images of fibreglass helmets http://theswca.com/images-repli/cameron-trooper-close.html I also did a search with the query "fiberglass helmet" if you feel inclined to go down that rabbit hole https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/search/?&q=fiberglass helmet&page=26&quick=1&search_and_or=and&sortby=relevancy Good hunting
  4. Looking good trooper, thank you for the kind words. Something you may wish to adjust while waiting for the DO's to start their review is the closure of your shins at the back, there is a gap on both sides. Noticed this gap was a lost smaller in your EIB application, hence why it may not have been mentioned If you do kit up again just watch a few dressing issues. Helmet not central Detonator not central Elbow gap different and at wrists Also one of your images is not showing, you may want to have a look at that Good luck trooper

This month sees the launch of an updated version of a long running program. This has seen a lot of work over the last couple of months and we hope you like the new changes. Check out @Sly11update for more details. We also have some merch news with an interest thread for you to check out: And we also welcome back a former staff member after a long period of absence, welcome home @justjoseph63 it's great to see you back on the forums. With Unquestioned Loyalty Chris Pearson TK-10991 "themaninthesuitcase" Detachment Leader Greetings fellow Troopers During a recent post by members, on our Facebook platform, a discussion sparked about our current Field Training Exercise program, This in turn spurred on an in depth conversation amongst all Detachment staff. Looking at the 6 year now running forum, we took some of the comments from that Facebook group discussion onboard and have decided to re lunch this program under a new name. Not only is it a name change, but along with it comes a refresh. It gives me great pleasure to introduce you to this improved program Trooper Missions and Deployment or TMD for short. This name change felt fitting for our Detachment as we are the troops, infantry or army of the empire if you will. When out trooping you are indeed deployed and on a mission to capture smiles, raise charity funds and awareness or simply make someone’s day. The new Forum sections are now live, and all the existing posts from the last 6 years have been transferred over, nothing changes with applications, but we have introduced a new and improved Side bar badge which I am sure everyone will agree looks much better than our current shield with number. https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/276-trooper-missions-and-deployment/ All new applications will automatically get the new badge, and all existing milestone achievers converted over to the new badges. This is a win for everyone who has or will participate in the program But wait, there is more......... We are also introducing a ā€œLetter of Commendationā€ awarded to all passing the Trooper mission milestones. For those already with awards, you simply need to request your Letter of Commendation via the request thread in the revitalised section. Please only request your most current deployment achievement. This may take us some time to facilitate the many troopers with achievements, but there are plans to try and automate this in the near future. We expect many will want to receive their letter, so your patience will be greatly appreciated. That’s it from me this edition, see you on the forums With Unquestioned Loyalty Andrew Franke TK-11469 "Sly11" Executive Officer Greetings Troopers! OKLAHOMA, Oklahoma Garrison Rachel @Spadille, Central Oklahoma With Unquestioned Loyalty Jonatan Ɩstling TK-23592 "Nairy" AttachĆ© Ambassador Master Armorer Program FISD has many wonderful programs to help members build and submit costumes for our detachment, whether it be a classic Stormtrooper, a First Order Stormtrooper, or even one of the new Imperial Armored Commandos. While our Expect Infantry and Centurion programs get most of the attention, FISD staff wants to relaunch the Armorer Program (Currently called the Master Armorer Program). What is the Armorer Program you ask? Well, it is a program designed to recognize those troopers that go above and beyond to assist themselves and others in getting costumes built, submitted, and approved. One of the goals of all the detachments in the 501st Legion is to help members build and submit costumes that meet and hopefully exceed the minimum requirements of the Legion’s CRLs. Currently the Master Armorer program has the requirement of helping a minimum of 5 members achieve Expert Infantry status. The member must have spent at least 30min physically helping another member with cutting, gluing, sizing, etc, just because they want to help (no money exchanged). There are 3 levels of the award, FISD Armorer, FISD Senior Armorer and FISD Master Armorer. The new program will add a 4th level at the beginning called the Apprentice Armorer. The point scale will be as follows. 5 points - Apprentice Armorer 10 points - Armorer 20 points - Senior Armorer 30 points - Master Armorer If you love building armorer and love helping fellow members get their costumes built, then this is the program you’ve been searching for. We look forward to awarding more members with this award as we know how much we all love Troopers helping Troopers. More information can be found here Armorer Rocker Patches Rocker patches are now available for the Armorer Program, there is currently just the one patch, and members are eligible to receive two of them once they reach Level 2, "Armorer". More information can be found here Want to setup a "Fire Team? the Fire Team program is completely optional, and is intended to help form a common identity and spirit of camaraderie among 501st Legion Stormtroopers in the same geographic area/garrison that troop together. Fire Teams are not officially recognized by the 501st Legion nor the FISD, although they will be able to access a Fire Team sub-forum on the detachment website. You can find more information here. For those interested here is the original discussion on the creation of Fire teams here With Unquestioned Loyalty Mark Ryner TK-4584 "captsafe66" Fire Team Relations So what exactly are and levels? These programs were designed for those who choose to take their armor above and beyond the minimum requirements for basic 501st Legion approval. It gives you the chance to show a level of dedication and pride that takes your armor closer to being as "screen accurate" as possible, without as much extra work as you may realize! You can find more information on the programs here. For those unaware it is possible to achieve extra awards at Expert Infantry for each additional version costume you have approved, additional awards are not issued with another Expert Infantry number (you are only issued 1 Expert Infantry number) but you will see a star above the award on your profile and the thread title will show [APPROVED] 2nd, [APPROVED] 3rd, [APPROVED] 4th and so on. Multiple EIB award recipients and info here NOTE If you are approved with a "2nd Version" of a particular costume that you are already approved with you do not receive an additional award, there is only 1 award issued for each costume version ie: only 1 x Hero, 1 x Stunt, 1 x HWT, 1 x ESB, 1 x TFA and so on. If you have a second/additional version costume approved you will see "2nd Version" and [APPROVED] added to the thread title, no additional profile stars (more info on profile awards here) For those of you who have a particular issue (or issues) before or after submitting for Expert Infantry / Centurion level approval, in order to get you an answer faster you can now privately contact the entire Deployment Officer team at one time! Questions about fitting, repairs, CRL standards/requirements or anything pertaining to reaching Levels 2 and 3 are not only welcomed, but encouraged. Keep in mind that no question is too small, and that your queries will only be seen by the D.O. Staff. We are here to help in any way we can, so please feel free to send us a message by clicking on this link: @Deployment Officer Team and we will get back to you A.S.A.P.! 12. Wow that's a shame, could be many reasons why they are no longer supplying PVC. Unfortunately RS is very thin and prone to cracking, I've seen a few really bad examples locally. Although ABS can yellow over time I still have a 13 year old ABS set and it's only recently started yellowing on the top of the helmet, I uses some Retr0bright and it's back to white again, it will come back but I'll just go over it again when it does. You could beef up your cracked areas, using fibreglass and matting, it's quite strong, just have to make sure you don't use too much hardener as it does build up heat when curing. My FOTK is painted, I have to be a little more careful with it, occasionally I get a scratch or chip from parts hitting other things but overall paint can last quite a long time. I prefer automotive acrylic paint, dries quickly, thin coats and can be buffed/polished again and again. An option could be convert your TK into a TD, weathering can hide a lot of damaged areas and you don't need to be as careful with it. Ultimately if you can't fix or replace PVC pieces you may have to look at purchasing an ABS set. A conversation on ABS yellowing here you may find of interest

Hello and welcome, I would advise you to compare your 3D files to screen references and also the current CRL (costume reference library) https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TK_rogue_one. I would also reach out to your GML (garrison membership liaison) with your build after all they may be able to identify any issues. I would also have a read through some of the previous posts on 3D files, here's one: A member with 3D printed suit was approved, update belt box files available too Another here Helmet files from Nico are the most accurate: https://www.etsy.com/au/market/nico_henderson_stormtrooper Great updates to Nico's 3D helmet files, you can request these by showing receipt of purchasing Nico's files.
