  1. FISD looks after Stormtroopers, for Darth Vader you will need to head over to Sith Lord Detachment
  2. Also check out this thread in regards to photos and the correct background I would also suggest having a look at other approved EIB applications, you do have a lot of pieces out of alignment and you may wish to adjust and submit new photos.
  3. Nice work trooper, good luck with approval, although I don't think you need it
  4. Well you won't miss where the zip is
  5. Incorrect link, that is for your legion forum profile, this is the droid link you are looking for https://www.501st.com/members/displaymemberdetails.php?userID=32433
  6. Just remember there is no rush and there is never enough research, take your time and you will know when it feels right to jump on the next step One other thing to consider is screen accuracy opposed to fan sculpt, it all comes down to what you want and how much you are willing to part with. When asked how hard it is to build my reply is have you ever assembled a plastic model kit, it's just like that only the parts are bigger
  7. Hello and welcome to the forum, I see you have already requested legion member access We have some great references in our Gallery Sections Looking forward to seeing a build thread from you soon
  8. Hi there, with Imgur try to use the "direct link" so your images will show, or right click, copy, then paste into your post (FYI I've just edited them for you) info on using Imgur here A clean build I don't think you will have any issues for base approval, albeit that is entirely up to your GML (Garrison Membership Liaison) For higher levels I would drop your brow trim down a touch, if you look at both sides in front of the traps you have a slight kink in the trim. Not sure from your image if you painted the bumps on the ears or the in between, I see 3 or 4 bump ears may be used for base clearance (see how they appear evenly spaced), they could be tidied up a touch mainly the bottoms. Basic The “ear” bars have three or four bumps and are painted grey, with a black outline. Painting the bumps with rank stripes (highlighted) in black is optional. For L2 Ear bars shall have four bumps only, not three. For L3 Ear bars shall have only two to three bumps painted in black (rank stripes). You can see a lot of opening behind your shins, many use a heat bath to soften the plastic and allow to bend You mentioned the boots, the ones you have used the shins are siting up a tad, especially your right. Can just see a gap under your shoulder straps, not sure if you can drop the chest and backplate so the gap can be reduced. Your gloves appear to be rubber (shinny) and appear you have stitching as well as elastic loop. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): If rubber gloves are worn the hand plates will be affixed via an elastic strap over the palm. No stitching/holes are permitted. If silk or satin gloves are worn, the hand plates have the correct visible stitching with a 5 point/star pattern, equally spread out with 2 on each side and 1 in the middle front, double stitched with 2 holes at each point and sewn to the glove at each one using black thread. You could drop the belt at the back a little Also The top of the ABS belt shall sit at or just above the bottom of the central and vertical ab button panels. A slight overlap is suggested, but not required. Your left forearm looks a little on the large side, you can see a gap in the rear photo Also centralize the detonator and align belt closure. Note the gap on the left forearm compared to right. Your helmet could come down a touch, sitting up on the back. So just a few tweaks and you should also be ok for higher levels. Good luck and hope to see you approved very soon
  9. Nice work on the back plate, I doubt many would attempt that
  10. Normally there has to be more references than just an action figure. Some info on CRL creation: https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:CRLGuide Character Approval The costume should be based on an official Star Wars canon source. Legends media is still acceptable, provided it is licensed. Assuming the quality of the build is in keeping with the level expected of the 501st, and that the character is affiliated with the darker side of the stories at the time that the costume in question is worn, anything from the current canon is eligible by default. The costume must work within the constraints of human anatomy. Costumes that can only be accurately rendered as puppets (IG-88, Battle Droids) are considered props and as such not allowed. Costumes must be a complete ensemble, not a partial version or in a state of undress. Video game characters must be part of the official story line of the game, and cannot be player customized. For example, Starkiller's Sith Stalker costume is acceptable, but a player character from Star Wars Galaxies would not be. The character must be represented visually by an officially authorized Star Wars publication. Ideally, clear full body front/back/side reference should be available, but can be examined on a case by case basis. Costumes based only on text descriptions cannot be approved. An action figure or statue may be used as supplemental reference, but cannot not be the sole reference. McQuarrie concept characters, and other characters whose only reference exists in concept are open for Legion consideration on a “case-by-case basis”. NOTE: Some costumes, while approved for Legion membership, may be deemed inappropriate for certain events. The local command staff / event coordinator reserves the right to make this judgement as needed.

  12. Not very often I hear about this maker. Unfortunately we see this from time to time, makers take money then go silent, in most cases they have your order and will fulfil when it's ready.. We have another maker who is 12months behind on their orders but are still finalizing orders and shipping, so there may be hope for you. You may also want to start your own thread instead of adding your question to someone else's build thread
  13. Hello and welcome, a lot of the general kits are for those under 6' but in saying that some makers supply longer shins. Don't just think about height but also girth, I've build AP in the past and found they are very narrow around the mid section, some needing to add shims to the sides. Usually 6' and over I would recommend AM (DDD), thread here on the sizing, but do some research in the build thread area https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/80-anh-build-threads/ It can help if you look through some of the build threads, many will post maker of armor as well as their size.
  14. I would trim a little more, they are a little thick, compare with the images I posted previously, remember what every is touching is what you need to trim so it comes in further.
  15. Following with interest
  16. I just joined the forum without issue, perhaps your email address was flagged? They have a discord also https://discord.gg/F8YJu9dDv7 GML email [email protected] CO: Lorri Gurnett(TI 67355) [email protected] You may be able to reach out to staff via social media Website https://www.mg501.com/ FB https://www.facebook.com/MG501st MG FB Build Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/497991561870503
  17. You will find vac formed plastic is misshaped and thin from the process, I do however use these offcuts for inner cover strips (mainly shins as they are flexed a lot) Before you make any cuts do a trial fit, you don't want to cut too much off, hard to get back on Sizing of cover strips Forearms/Biceps @15mm Thighs 20mm Shins Front 20mm, Rear 25mm (for velcro) Yes you can go bigger with cover strips if you need too A few threads on cover strips Cover Strips threads: gazmosis, I'm Batman, sith_241, & Falciform13 ANH & ESB Cover Strip lengths and Ends by CableGuy Scribe technique for Cover Strips by chiefbonan
  18. Hello and welcome aboard, this can be a helpful thread for the first time Stormtrooper builder We have a pre approval area if you want to post some photos (when you are done) great way to get feedback about fitment and adjustments prior to submission to your GML (Garrison Membership Liaison) Good luck and hope to see some photos soon
  19. Don't forget to add Centurion # to the title @Doggydoc
  20. Congratulations Rachel and welcome to the Centurion ranks
  21. Looking smart Rachel, good luck with approval (although I doubt you will need it )
  22. Hello and welcome back, you need to be a current approved legion member to apply for Expert Infantry as you need to add a link to your membership profile, you also need TK forum access to post in the Expert Infantry area. "You have to be a 501st approved Stormtrooper. If you are, but haven't permission to create your thread, request 501st access in this thread."
  23. I would echo Justin's post, please only use your own photos for your submission, you are also missing an Action Photo, thread on using the right background for action photos You can find EIB photo checklist here Good luck with your submission
  24. Hello and welcome, you've been given some great information and research is the key to this hobby. AP is another builder that supplies commission builds as does TM (UK based). For the bigger trooper it would be AM also known as DDD Dave's Darkside Depot, definitely for width and height. There are a lot of suppliers on the Web and I would discourage you from purchasing there, many are not accurate or assembled well. Not all suppliers come with everything this thread may also be of use Good luck with the researching
