What kind of screen accurate gloves is everyone using?
gmrhodes13 replied to CN1142's topic in ESB Stormtrooper
Many use silk gloves, I have similar to these https://www.amazon.com/ALASKA-BEAR-Natural-Gloves-Unisex/dp/B00PIMIZWA?th=1&psc=1 ESB Gloves Black in color, made of either rubber, nomex, leather, or leather-like material, with no visible straps or logos/designs. The fingers are enclosed. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): Gloves must be either black silk, satin, nylon, or silk-like material, or gloves must be rubber or rubber-like chemical gloves, in black Rubber Silk More references here The silk gloves where quite short, as you can see on the trooper on the right, right wrist is showing -

Nice work Alice, it's all about the details I found in the past having a full length mirror really handy for checking fitment, your photographer doesn't always know what to look out for. In most of my TK armors I don't have full mobility, as long as you comfortably walk and move you should be good to go. One thing which your GWL will love you for would be taking your photos inside with a contrasting backdrop, makes editing your photos for the legion database so much easier. Lighting outdoors can distort and add shadows to photos. We have a thread about taking photos here

I've heard these snaps can be a pain if they are on an angle but I've never encountered an issue.

Bikrtrash builds ANH Stunt TK (WTF kit) short, skinny guy
gmrhodes13 replied to Bikrtrash's topic in ANH Build Threads
Unfortunate for sure, shame you weren't told this earlier. White waiting you have your research to do, research is the key to this hobby, you have some great links previously posted, any questions don't hesitate to ask. ANH build threads go here https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/80-anh-build-threads/ Looking forward to seeing your soon -
Nice work, one thing that looks as it may be an issue, the overlap on the shins should be outside over inside, this is so you don't see any gaps/velcro from the outside, this is standard across most (if not all) TK version costumes. Comparison (note your left leg closure) A few other things, lower attachment from chest to backplate looks like it came loose. Also there is a big gap between your backplate and back, no doubt the pack adds to that, you may need to adjust the strapping, for my Din Djarin my pack harness fits around my chest back and separate to the armor. Belt at 2 different angles. Also on the rear it's angled downwards from left to right. It may be my eyes but appears you may have some print lines on the side detonators. Belt angle, also bunching up of your neck seal

ANH build: this is where the fun begins
gmrhodes13 replied to LoudDragon's topic in ANH Build Threads
A couple of fans in the helmet can make all the difference, feel air across your face as well as help prevent fogging is a godsend. Looking forward to seeing your progress photos soon. -
Hello and welcome back, you can request TK forum access here

You can also use a philips head screwdriver to slightly split the post, gives more area to grip too.

Personally I use a Dremel (a nock off brand) rotary tool, well 3, all with different tips, I'm too lazy to waste time swapping tip tools, they have a cutting disc, drum sander and debur tip. Some great info in this thread You will also find A LOT of information in this thread Good luck with the build, look forward to seeing your progress

TK ANH Stunt by CloseTheBlastDoor
gmrhodes13 replied to CloseTheBlastDoor's topic in ANH Build Threads
Well worth the adjustments, looks much better, well done -
Almost there. Just watch your gaps, I'd say your shoulder/bicep was pushing downwards, not much gap at your elbow and handplate hitting forearm, chest is on an angle too. You may want to move your thigh buckle so it's not seen. Also try to rotate your shoulder bells so the gap closes, having the staps further to the front of the shoulders will help bring them forward at rest.
-
A small gap is allowable, some better side on images would be good. The @Deployment Officer Teamshould be able to comment if they are presentable for L3 Some info on the ear angles The "ideal" ear placement is as seen below, where the screws line up with the rear angle of the trap right above it. Because some armorers design their helmets differently or send them pre-assembled this is not always possible to achieve, but it is suggested that you try to get as close as you can. Note: Top ear screws should ideally be located directly below the rear of the trap.

Very nice. I do find the suspenders help so the belt isn't digging into your sides with the weight of the thighs, anything to make it more comfortable to wear

armor adjustment questions from a shorter trooper

File-Name: Imperial Wedding – The Men Trooper Designer: Slevin Last Update: 28/02/2025 File-URL: https://makerworld.com/en/models/1462806-the-imperial-wedding-the-men-trooper#profileId-1525487 Description: 💍 The Imperial Wedding – The Groom 💫 Under that polished helmet stands a man of few words and even fewer emotions — unless you count deep, unconditional loyalty (and maybe a single happy beep from his comm device). Dressed in formal Imperial fashion — which naturally includes full armor — this groom is ready to march down the aisle with military precision and just a touch of romantic rebellion. Forget the bouquet toss; he's more into thermal detonators (purely decorative, of course). Whether stationed atop a wedding cake or standing tall in your collection, this figurine proves that true love can thrive even under the strictest Empire regulations — and yes, he's authorized to love.
