ANOVOS (DENUO NOVO) FOTK Armor Delivery Possibility
gmrhodes13 replied to JonnieBear's topic in TFA Stormtrooper
We should be seeing the 2nd round of kits going out, if you aren't contacted and have a kit on preorder get it touch with them asap -
I agree the right could do with a little more trimming. If you remove more material from the top section it should bring the whole ear inwards. It's all about fine tuning, a little trimming at a time. I found the ears the hardest part of my first build.

1: The issue with changing your ears is finding some from a maker with the right shade of white, we see very different shades from one maker to the next, some also look cream when compared, depends also what they are supplied. TM (troopermaster) does a Hero kit so you may be able to contact him. Note you can use 4 bumps for basic approval The “ear” bars may have three or four bumps 2: 2 attachments per strap 3: Some request an untrimmed thigh ammo belt from SDS, some purchase from another maker. As you can see by the references the thigh ammo belt wraps all the way around to both corners of the thigh. I think you will find it too short if you trim both the rounded areas off. 4: No they will not meet L3 approval. Your GML may allow for basic approval you would need to check Biceps must be constructed using the butt joint and cover strip method. Overlap construction is not allowed. This is @Helotech's SDS upgrade thread you may find it helpful

Great news, just be a case of matching the paint color to the pauldron, I would however just check on the color of Jim's pauldron to see if it matches the references just in case. Some custom automotive paint suppliers can color match so it may be worth looking into that at some stage, I use automotive acrylic paint for my painted suits.

Yes I know it's not a meme but it is appropriate

You may even be able to use a cutting disk, remove that piece add an inner edge and glue it back on. There are files out there with separate pieces but I've not researched how accurate they may be so some research may be needed. These are on sale 50% off at present Oh and you can find backpack files here Also here

100%, the majority of these "new era" TK's have the 3 piece panel BUT on the odd occasion we do see some one piece pauldrons This will be one of the harder pieces, finding a color vinyl/leather to match the color of the references. I know 850 armor works has completed an Artillery trooper but I've not seen any update with a pauldron Yes the helmet does have that detail same as the standard troopers with the lower front piece separate

would be very cool to see though Note the bend in the top of the thigh just goes to show how flexible this armor is. Whether it be Rogue One, Mandalorian or Obi-Wan the top of the belt takes a beating from those thighs, I believe it to be because of the leg strapping, having 2 side straps doesn't allow very much movement front and back.

Unfortunately there wasn't more footage in the series, I hope this won't be the last we see of this trooper or the incinerator trooper. Just make sure you reference the screen images best you can as the Hot Toys fig would be a secondary reference I am loving the details in the series, seeing the detonator actually be used was an especially squeal moment Note the bend on the top of the thigh, goes to show how flexible the armor material was/is

Yes as Andrew did, it's best to have them in place and glued so nothing moves while you trim the lower ridge

Could very well be -
Resolution of the images is a little small so hard to make out details, you do have a gap at the bottom of the ridge on the left thigh pictured, many use either ABS paste or milliput to fill the gaps.
-
Nothing wrong with being eager, happens to us all, take this time to research EIB requirements and make sure you have all the photos needed
-
Not many purchase from SDS these days, unfortunately his kits do need a little work, I may have passed on this info before but in case I haven't here are a couple of thread may be worth a read Great website about the history of Stormtroopers (and other costumes) Hero page here Hero's had different ear section casting with 3 centre ridges - rebuilt due to damage caused pulling all the Stunt ears from their vac-form moulds.

Remnant Stormtrooper CRL Discussion Thread
gmrhodes13 replied to BigJasoni's topic in Anthology/Remnant
Been looking over the remnant images again in regards to the belt, we have butted together and overlapped, and we have overlapping seen both ways, front over back and back over front, this is with the same belt/trooper too So should either be allowed? Belt Moderate to heavily weathered with a brownish hue The Ammunition belt consists of a hard belt made of the same or similar material as the armor in two separate parts front and back, they can be either butted together or overlapped (with overlap). The back belt overlaps the front belt on the sides. There are 6 ammunition boxes mounted to the belt. There are 2 (one left and one right) drop boxes suspended by black webbing approximately 2" (50mm) wide. Drop boxes must be accurate in detail and proportion to official references. The ammunition belt is accurate in detail and proportion to official references. Bottom of belt may be completely straight or trimmed angular from the sides of the cod up to the drop boxes. OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable): The only detail visible on the front belt is the mounted ammunition boxes unlike the squares present on ANH belts. The top edge of the front belt has protruding teeth that nest inside gaps between the ribs and detail panels of the abdominal armor. The two center ammunition boxes are thinner than the other mounted ammunition boxes. The second and fifth mounted ammunition boxes are slightly wider than the two center ammunition boxes. The two outermost ammunition boxes are almost square. The two drop boxes are rectangular and as wide as the mounted square boxes. OPTIONAL Level three certification (if applicable): The ammo boxes across the front are all made separately from the main belt and are secured to it The two drop boxes hang no more than 1” 25mm below the front belt and the black strap is visible. The second and fifth mounted ammunition boxes have trapezoid detail on the top of each ammunition box. The front belt protrudes past all mounted ammunition boxes above and below by approximately 1/8”-1/4” 3-6mm. All ammunition boxes have slightly bevelled edges on the face of each box. -
ANOVOS (DENUO NOVO) FOTK Armor Delivery Possibility

Update 6th September 2022 Well 3 months on and I have actually received by replacement WHITE pauldron, now take note of the word WHITE I'm just sitting here stunned over the color mistake, overall the pauldron is better and I don't know if I can be bothered dealing with them any further over wrong color, I'll think over the next few days. What a difference (not just the color) but the finish compared to this piece of poodoo. Maybe some won't mind the ridges and lines but it's definitely not what they show on their website. Still haven't arranged any info in regards to having this one sent back, will see what happens. All I can say is buyer beware, I hope over time they improve and can become a consistent supplier of costumes to the Star Wars community. It does warm the heart to see so many images of people receiving their BBB's of armor, an end is in sight, hang in their peeps, not much longer to go. -
voice sound systems current state?
gmrhodes13 replied to BAZINGA's topic in Electronics for Helmets / Blasters
Correct, I have electronics in pretty much all of my blasters and props. Cord runs up your arm, out the neck and down behind the chest (or to belt pouch( to the Amp A couple of examples You have delay with the static burst anyone so a little from the wireless mic really isn't noticed. I just bought a generic one from Aliexpress. Depends one what other electronics/props I'm using at an event and how long as to whether I use wired or wireless mic.
