Nice work -
You will find most armor is vac formed plastic as there was not 3D printing way back when. A great thread to start your research. Another great thread full of useful info You can also look at others builds, many have the name of the maker in the titles of their build threads

Hello and welcome, FYI your previous forum name was "Sandman", appears you still have TK 501st access . Last post was April 1, 2017 The forum has undergone a few updates since then, you could (if you remember) enter your email address in "LOGIN" and reset your password. Or reach out to command https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/fisdstaff/

Hello and welcome, the forum has a limit on how big and how many images that can be posted, many of us use a free image host Imgur, upload there then copy and paste the "direct link" into your forum post. There are many other free image hosts if Imgur doesn't work for you

Interest in custom Trooper electronics?
gmrhodes13 replied to GalacticGotham's topic in Electronics for Helmets / Blasters
A few things that come to mind: You may find it hard breaking into an already established supply base, obviously price would have some impact so I'd definitely research what's out there and whether you can meet or beat them. I would suggest catering not just to TK's but other approved costumes and any particular costume needs/voices/sounds/props. Kylon, Vader, Mando voices I see many ask for those quite often, I have some prerecorded files for some of my costumes and remote finger switches to stop, start, select. Will it be hands free, remote (which I use), voice or push to talk. Wired or wireless mic, I use both, recently I've been using a wireless mic, it was great getting dressed with no pesky wires but I do notice some lag with static burst, but ok for other costumes. I don't use usb banks, found them a little problematic and a little tighter on space, I usually use either 2 or 3 x AAA or AA rechargeables, easy to swap out if I need too, each to their own though, what ever works. MP3 player support, there are a lot of background sounds and chatters available, some like to have these running as well as the ability to talk. I also run wires from my props to my amp, makes them nice and loud at events so another function you may want to include. Aker amps are getting hard to find now, especially the 1506, the smaller 10watt which most used to use for size and weight, you can find knock off version on AliExpress from time to time at reasonable prices. BUT there are other units available, louder, with extra inputs and mp3 player intergraded (one less thing you'd need to include) I've tried hearing assist and personally didn't like it, at conventions it would pick up a lot of background noise/chatter, but others like them, it may have been the particular one I used, who knows but I can hear enough. There are also fan and prop electronics makers out there, not sue if you wanted to break into those areas but being able to order everything from one supplier may make it cheaper on shipping for those at the other side of the world. US worldwide shipping these days is a killer Forums don't get as much traffic as they used to, you may want to share your info once up and running to FB build groups. Also have a read of the forum sales rules Ongoing Sales & Project Runs Please Note now updated to include armor sales, all rules will apply. 1) This forum is for ongoing sales and project runs ONLY. If you have a one-off item please use the Personal Items For Sale area. 2) Sellers need to list the maker of their sale items if known. Misrepresenting the maker or source will result in barring the seller from the FISD Commissary. 3) Sellers need to include AT LEAST ONE photo of the item(s) for sale. 4) NO linking to Ebay auctions that are not your own. 5) The admin staff are NOT responsible for any transaction on this forum. We ARE here to mediate if there is a problem. 6) Keep your items current. If you have sold the item, please mark the thread as sold so people don't keep trying to buy an item that is not available. 7) NO WANT TO BUY armor/helmet threads. Sorry. 8) DO NOT hijack someone else's for sale thread. Start your own. 9) If you have negative comments about a seller or items being sold, do not hijack their thread. Start a new one of your own in the appropriate forum. 10) All merchandise including armor must be "in-hand" and ready to ship before accepting payment. Interest threads are allowed to determine selling order. 11) Sale items must be listed with an asking price. This does not exclude OBOs (Or Best Offer) and price negations, but no open priced sales. 12) No ongoing runs of armor/helmets are allowed in the imperial commissary. 13) Armor vendors must be on the vetted makers list and only the armorer can list their products. No agents 3rd party or shills. 14) Photos of armor kit or completed builds are to be posted in the sales thread along with price and expected time frame for delivery. 15) Only Armor relating directly to the Detachment can be advertised in this section, no costumes outside the FISD CRL's. Please note when paying for any product and/or services: PayPal is always going to be a safe way to send any payment. However, you must understand NEVER to send any payment via the "Gift" option for any product, work or services. PayPal will not cover any transaction under the "Gift" option at all. Always use the "Goods and Services", option when sending payments so, that you have recourse through PayPal if any problems should arise during or after the transaction. NOTE: You have a 90 window with PayPal to file a dispute/claim. Never send cash and/or money orders. These can easily be lost and never reach the proper person. Plus you have no record for any recourse. -
File Name: Doughtrooper (TK-421-Pizzeria) Designer: Rewilo Last Update: 19/01/2026 File: https://makerworld.com/en/models/2269035-meet-the-dough-trooper-tk-421-pizzeria?from=search#profileId-2473192 Description: Here is why this is a must-have for your collection: The Perfect Surface Test: The large, round belly is a fantastic way to see how your A1 or H2d handles layer lines on a smooth curve. If you achieve that "silver look" as well as on your previous prints, he will look like a polished disco ball (but with pizza). Precision in the Pizza: Achieving the details on the pepperoni on the pizza requires finesse. It's the ultimate test of your printer's precision – no one wants a Stormtrooper with blurry topping! Stability at its Best: Thanks to his new, heavier physique, you never have to worry about him toppling over. He has a natural "low center of gravity" that makes him the most stable soldier in the entire Empire. A New Tactical Goal: He has stopped searching for rebels in the forests of Endor. Now he has a more important mission: to find the galaxy's best home delivery. He never misses a slice! Need Help Ask the Deployment Officers Advance to 1500 Advanced Tactics Awards Newsletter Editor Staff List 2025 Follow FISD A few days before Christmas there was sad news that Mark Templeton, Sylverbard, TK-69323 of the Capital City Garrison passed away. Mark was a friend to the Garrison and was known by many members. Mentor, handler, costumer - Mark brought a humble, yet strong and vibrant energy to any troop he attended. He will be remembered as a mentor, supporter, trooper, and friend, and his loss is felt keenly. Condolences to his garrison, family and friends "Buckets Off" Greetings Troopers, We have reached the final update for the 2025 term. A lot happened over this year so lets have a quick look back. We started with fundraising to cover the detachment expenses. This was set up to allow us 14 months so it's a little while before we'll need to do this again. With the funding secured we were able to move off of the Legion hosting and onto our own server. This has made a huge difference, if you look back to 2024 you might remember just how bad this where before this migration. And whilst there been a few unavoidable issues, Cloudflare going down, things have been much smoother. This year also saw a lot of work on the CRL platform. This took a lot more work than I think was expected and in the region of 800 CRLs where moved from the old system to the new. Like the old hosting, the old CRL system was becoming increasingly unreliable and it was important to get this moved. The new system is much more stable and easier to manage. CRL platform in place we have had 2 new CRLs created this year, so far... Captain Cardinal and Captain Enoch joined the FISD ranks. We also saw renaming of the Rogue One CRL to "Non-Saga". This brings the naming in line with other CRLs and allows us to consolidate all the uses from Film and TV. Before the term ends there's hope for one last CRL but as this has not yet been approved you'll have to wait for that one. Also introduced this year was the Letters of Commendation. These allow us to recognize members who have gone out and trooped in their Detachment costumes. If this is something you've not seen then please do check it out, get your troop log going and make a request. I'd love to seem more of these being issued. Along side the letters we also revamped the forum ribbons for troop counts. The new ones are a more modernised design and look great. Whilst this year was a little quieter than previous years, with only Andor Season 2 and Skeleton crew being released, 2026 is looking hopeful, with season 2 of Ahsoka likely towards the end of the year. This should see a lot more from Captain Enoch and the Night Troopers to look forward to. As we come up to elections please take the time to make sure you have logged in at least once before the sync to the legion is run. This is the most common reason for people missing out on being able to vote in the Detachment elections. If you have any issues with affiliations, first check this post and then if that fails reach out to the staff and we can help you sort it out. Finally I want to thank everyone who has contributed this year, whether that be through fundraising, helping with the CRLs, or just being an active member of the detachment. Your efforts are what make this community great. With Unquestioned Loyalty Chris Pearson TK-10991 "themaninthesuitcase" Detachment Leader Happy New Year Troopers! Welcome to 2026! and the 20th Anniversary of the 1st Imperial Stormtrooper Detachment! We have a few ideas up or sleeves for this exciting milestone. We will be producing our first Anniversary merch item before the end of this term, check it out below, but first.... Old Business "FISD EIB Coins" I still have 4 EI coins in our Stepping Out Trooper style. The next EI coin will be a gold version of our 20th Anniversary coin, so if you are eligible to order an EI coin, and you'd prefer not to have an Anniversary edition, grab one of these before they aren't available any longer! In order to buy one, you must have an approved EI costume and you can not have ever bought an EIB coin from any pervious runs. EIB coins are a once and done coin. If you have this one and would prefer one of the older versions, I may have an option for you so please dm me. EIB v11 coin run is still open Pin Run The pin run for Expert Infantry, Centurion and Attaché will begin soon, we are still researching vendors, but we hope to have one selected and get the run open. You can find more information here. War Banner Run Congratulations to Trooper @iceknyght again for his contest winner. The interest thread is open. We will attempt to get this going before end of the term, if not, hopeful we can do it first thing at the begining of the next term. The interest tread can be found here. Please weigh-in on if you'd be interested so I can get an idea of the numbers to help with vendor selection and pricing. Helmet Bag The helmet bag was denied by LFL. We are looking at making the bag without the IP images. More information will be out soon. NEW BUSINESS We are excited to announce the first of the FISD 20th Anniversary merch for 2026. We have paid homage to the original coin made for FISD, but updated it to 1.75" and added 3d features. And it wouldn't be a celebration without a little glitter and the markings for our 20th Anniversary of crossed DLT-19s! Thanks again to @revlimiter for working with me on the design. We hope the detachment will like it as much as well do. This run will open on 12 Jan 2026, and will close on 9 Feb 2026 so that we can be sure to have the order into the vendor before the end of the term. The run can be found here. By Justin - TK9921 @evnltr Thread can be found here OK so you look at your Legion profile and it shows that your detachment affiliation to FISD is pending, or otherwise incorrect. Why does this happen, and what is detachment affiliation anyway, and what will FISD do about it? The answer is that detachment affiliation is only ever used once a year, and for one purpose. The only time the Legion ever uses it for anything is to determine who can run for DL and who can vote in detachment elections. That's it. Otherwise it is pretty much ignored and not used for anything. The process of validating detachment membership is cumbersome and time consuming because people use different email information between their Legion and detachment logins, and that there is no way to bulk update the rosters. For a small detachment it is not a big deal to do this manually, but for a detachment the size of FISD with hundreds and soon thousands of 501st members, it's impossible. Fortunately we have technical folk both on FISD and in the Legion web team. Once a year they take a feed from FISD's database and do a bulk update on the Legion database. This occurs right before the election cycle starts and is done once per year. Pro tips: 1) Ensure the email address you use on the Legion & FISD boards are the exact same. 2) Ensure that your FISD profile has the correct TKID. 3) IMPORTANT! You MUST be in the right security group. It should be "501st Stormtrooper" in order for the automated system to pull you over. This thread is where you get your detachment access updated. 4) If after the bulk update is complete and your profile is still not updated, and you are 100% sure your info is in sync between the two boards, then ask for to the Legion web team. They should get feedback on why this isn't working. 5) If all else fails, ping the FISD staff. Which basically means that we'll simply tell the 501st web team to bulk approve everyone 6) If still you have no luck you can contact the legion web team directly via email: [email protected] To check detachment affiliation go to the 501st holocron here, login using your 501st forum username and password, click on YOUR PROFILE DATA, then look down the lower part of the page for YOUR UNIT AFFILIATION, then under DETACHMENT AFFILIATION. If you do not see FISD listed reach out to your GML (garrison membership liaison) as they can add it if you are an approved Stormtrooper. If FISD shows as PENDING contact our DL Chris @themaninthesuitcase and request a manual update. 2026 Legion Election Timeline It's coming up to that time of the year again, legion elections are just around the corner. While our Expect Infantry and Centurion programs get most of the attention, FISD staff wants to relaunch the Armorer Program (Currently called the Master Armorer Program). What is the Armorer Program you ask? Well, it is a program designed to recognize those troopers that go above and beyond to assist themselves and others in getting costumes built, submitted, and approved. One of the goals of all the detachments in the 501st Legion is to help members build and submit costumes that meet and hopefully exceed the minimum requirements of the Legion’s CRLs. Currently the Master Armorer program has the requirement of helping a minimum of 5 members achieve Expert Infantry status. The member must have spent at least 30min physically helping another member with cutting, gluing, sizing, etc, just because they want to help (no money exchanged). There are 3 levels of the award, FISD Armorer, FISD Senior Armorer and FISD Master Armorer. The new program will add a 4th level at the beginning called the Apprentice Armorer. The point scale will be as follows. 5 points - Apprentice Armorer 10 points - Armorer 20 points - Senior Armorer 30 points - Master Armorer If you love building armorer and love helping fellow members get their costumes built, then this is the program you’ve been searching for. We look forward to awarding more members with this award as we know how much we all love Troopers helping Troopers. More information can be found here Armorer Rocker Patches Rocker patches are now available for the Armorer Program, there is currently just the one patch, and members are eligible to receive two of them once they reach Level 2, "Armorer". More information can be found here Want to setup a "Fire Team? the Fire Team program is completely optional, and is intended to help form a common identity and spirit of camaraderie among 501st Legion Stormtroopers in the same geographic area/garrison that troop together. Fire Teams are not officially recognized by the 501st Legion nor the FISD, although they will be able to access a Fire Team sub-forum on the detachment website. You can find more information here. For those interested here is the original discussion on the creation of Fire teams here With Unquestioned Loyalty Mark Ryner TK-4584 "captsafe66" Fire Team Relations So what exactly are and levels? These programs were designed for those who choose to take their armor above and beyond the minimum requirements for basic 501st Legion approval. It gives you the chance to show a level of dedication and pride that takes your armor closer to being as "screen accurate" as possible, without as much extra work as you may realize! You can find more information on the programs here. For those unaware it is possible to achieve extra awards at Expert Infantry for each additional version costume you have approved, additional awards are not issued with another Expert Infantry number (you are only issued 1 Expert Infantry number) but you will see a star above the award on your profile and the thread title will show [APPROVED] 2nd, [APPROVED] 3rd, [APPROVED] 4th and so on. Multiple EIB award recipients and info here NOTE If you are approved with a "2nd Version" of a particular costume that you are already approved with you do not receive an additional award, there is only 1 award issued for each costume version ie: only 1 x Hero, 1 x Stunt, 1 x HWT, 1 x ESB, 1 x TFA and so on. If you have a second/additional version costume approved you will see "2nd Version" and [APPROVED] added to the thread title, no additional profile stars (more info on profile awards here) For those of you who have a particular issue (or issues) before or after submitting for Expert Infantry / Centurion level approval, in order to get you an answer faster you can now privately contact the entire Deployment Officer team at one time! Questions about fitting, repairs, CRL standards/requirements or anything pertaining to reaching Levels 2 and 3 are not only welcomed, but encouraged. Keep in mind that no question is too small, and that your queries will only be seen by the D.O. Staff. We are here to help in any way we can, so please feel free to send us a message by clicking on this link: @Deployment Officer Team and we will get back to you A.S.A.P.! E-11 Stormtrooper Hero Blaster from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Presented is an E-11 Stormtrooper hero blaster from the Gareth Edwards-directed Star Wars anthology film, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The E-11 has become one of the most recognizable weapons to ever come out of the Star Wars universe; the standard-issue blaster of the Imperial Stormtrooper, the E-11 has been seen on screens ever since the first Stormtroopers appeared breaching the Alderaanian corvette Tantive IV in the original Star Wars film that was released in 1977. With a design based off the British Sterling Mk.4 submachine gun, the E-11 blaster has appeared in several movies—including Rogue One as the Rebel Alliance seeks to steal the Death Star plans from an Imperial stronghold—video games, comic books, and television series within the Star Wars domain. The offered prop exhibits a heavily circulated manner of appearance and is accompanied by a COA from Goldin. 3 Bids $3,500 Ends: Thu, 1/22/26, 11:00 AM https://goldin.co/item/e-11-blaster-from-rogue-one-and-more-need-lopygedy?fbclid=IwY2xjawPNd1BleHRuA2FlbQIxMQBzcnRjBmFwcF9pZBAyMjIwMzkxNzg4MjAwODkyAAEefXD57rCE_SAezrTB2ARHEMDbx1HPY_mXPsEVQi7YgUq88FuzLjakYijYNTs_aem_2bCY7tviRgW9EaNdRrzjag

File Name: Coca Cola Lightbox - (Aureb2sh) Designer: cyberLEDs Last Update: 07/01/2026 File: https://makerworld.com/en/models/2206770-cocacola-lightbox-star-wars-aurebash-rgb?from=search#profileId-2398404 Description: This is a recreation of the Coca Cola logo in the alphabet from the Star Wars universe (aurebash). The model also includes an octagonal internal frame for mounting addressable LEDs in a circular layout, along with dedicated space for a microcontroller (ESP32/Pro Micro), with a cutout in the ring to route wires. I am using a Pro Micro and it is a tight fit with a 90 degree USB-C cable. I have also included a tabletop stand and wall mount using Mr. Pen- Double Headed Picture Hanging Nails. You can expand the mounting holes if need. This is the first sign design of a sign wall I am working on!
