  1. Ok here are the final shots. Once I am approved Ill submit more detailed shots for EIB and Centurion. Boot soles painted white, TD clips shortened, Legs and arms heated and reshaped to round instead of flat. The legs can not go any further up they are actually at the top of my legs now, they do not have the same Height as ANH legs it seems in the front. The shoulders are going to set a little far from the bridges becasue I have broad shoulders. It is the same for my RS.
  2. Now that I see the pictures again I see my lid had caught the end of the neckseal, and the right side was sticking out.. After having this on a few times let me just say this is the most comfortable armor I currently have worn. If you are on the fence about an ANH or ESB trooper from TM...don't be. I am seriously considering turning my ESB RS into a Sandtrooper at this point!
  3. You would still need a new td a fabric belt and do something about the ab buttons. You could with some work get it approved. But why spend the money and effort on it?
  4. Hello all I recently got my 1.5 mm TM armor with original strapping and a low brow hero lid from Troopermaster, and I wanted to show off his craftmanship. He assembled it ot my measurements and I think its spot on. This is the hero look, but I also got a stunt belt I hope to pair with my RS PP lid (once it gets here). Hyperfirm DLT 19 and real demilled sterling/Hengstler/M-38 in the holster. it arrived at work and the guys begged me to put it on so they could see it, one of them snapped a few pics. 6'1" 230 Lbs Could'nt wait! (box just got opened and I had to put the lid on) Surprise inspection: Have you seen any Rebels? No? Droids then? Hmm.... Right arm had slipped out of the hook and I did not notice which led to this broken arm look Back off Sucker! All Grins
  5. Was surfing Ebaum's and found this, thought I would share.
  6. I bid one Beeeeelion dollars! I have a semi gloss finish on my e11s They seemed to have more semi shiny than flat in the screen caps I saw so I went that route.
  7. Thanks Mathias! I see what you mean on the bottoms of the legs ill look into that.
  8. I have a top and bottom, and they are really comfortable. Be warned though that a camera flash will see through them: -------- You can see my boxers there! They were not visible until the flash went off
  9. Well I suited up for the first time thsi weekend and overall I think it is ok. A few areas I see are the TD clips are way too long, I'll need to cut those down. I may need to try to get the thighs higher. I need to paint the soles of the boots white. The way the CFO legs and arms are molded from the original suit with no modifications, means that they are "flattened" a bit. I imagine it is because the real suit was kept stored on its back and over the years it flattened out. What that means is that they no longer quite fit naturally on a leg or arm. I will need to heat and open them the other way. The way they are now the biceps and calves especially want to rotate sideways as you move. I am also not sold on the belt. It is easy to find 2 inch material and 3 inch material, but 2.25 -2.5 inch belting in white with close to the right pattern is rough. The material I have is 2.5 inches and has a pattern close to the original belts, but it is very thin. As a result you can see the holster pulls it down pretty bad. I could always layer it, but that would not be my first choice as the ROTJ belts were not made like ANH belts. I will keep looking.
  10. I am trying to make my CFO build to Centurion standards (ROTJ needs no shims Yea!) But in pouring over all the pictures I can find it seems as if the rivets are pop rivets, not the cap rivets. They look to me in the 8 mm range. So for a centurion ROTJ build pop rivets about 8mm?
  11. Yep no notifications for the last 2 days...
  12. LOL I have actually been over to the MEPD and have to say the SWAT program is daunting, getting the armor/pouches/backpack is not too hard, but applying dirt to match a specific trooper that may only have 3 frames of reference? wow. I would want the orange pauldron DLT 19 toting cantina captain, but trying to match his dirt would be unreal Great job on your armor of course! Rolf's build of the "Move Along guy" was what started the thinking of a sandy to begin with back when i was building my RS into an ESB. I could pretty easily go HWT with the same look as Cantina Captain sans all the dirt and still get back to ESB though... Ultimately it will depend on how the TM sets with me, it would be pretty easy to have the TM be ANH hero, stunt, and ESB with a few swapped out parts.... Thanks for the responses all, what can I say I am addicted to armor. I need e6000 fumes to survive anymore...
  13. I wear glasses and they fit fine under the RS Lid. That being said last night the lenses on my lid fogged up something fierce since it was cold and I was sweating in the armor. I found the best way to go was sort of shuffle step on unfamiliar ground. Also it helps if you can to look out of your frown to see the ground. The days of seeing your feet are pretty much over....
  14. Yeah that was my problem as well. I hate to royally dirty up my Shiney PVC RS, seems almost a shame. A few scuffs for a battle worn look though and It still works as an ESB trooper. I have always thought Sandies looked pretty cool though, and all the sandy bits would hide some of the sizing issues with the RS. Looking at Rolfs amazing sandy RS build though wow. I will probably wait until I get my TM suit in hand to decide what I do. I want to have ANH Hero, Stunt, ESB, and ROTJ TKs for sure, so whatever I do I need to make sure that is still going to work. It is possible the TM will go for Hero/Stunt and ESB, which would leave me to get dirty on the RS.... suddenly I have the scene from Tropic Thunder in my head
  15. I can attest to that as well since my CFO lid that came with my armor is plenty big inside for glasses and headset as well.
  16. Just a note: My hat size is 58 or 7 1/4 My TE bucket was a bit small. but I could wear it with glasses. MY RS lid is several times larger than the TE and I can wear glasses and have plenty of room inside. In Fact If I do not snap the chin strap it wobbles all over the place. You still have to sort of screw the lid on but I can do it fairly easily with a head set and glasses.
  17. So I am thinking of my next project. One thing that annoys me about my RS suit, because I am 6'1" and broad shouldered the back plate leaves a lot of black around it. Easy way to fix that? Wear a back pack! Ok now the easiest thing I can do Is to go HWT, as it would essentially be adding TD parts to my TK. A little light weathering and it would be done. I can always take off the extra bits and still be a normal TK. Sounds like a plan, right? But then I started to wonder, how does the public react to a HWT? Do they think you are just a clean Sandy, and therefore your costume seems incomplete to them? I am actually leaning towards making a full on TD, but at that point there will be no going back to normal TK. Sorry for the Ramble. Guess this is really more of a poll, are you glad with your HWT, or do you wish you had a TD instead?
  18. Type: RT-Mod (RT) Country: Canada Contact: trooper7@shaw.ca Kit: ABS, trimmed, fan sculpt. More accurate than FX/AM but not as much as TM/TE2/AP. Ears lack bumps, but can be added if you ask. Availability: Available to order, but there can be about a 2 month wait. Assembly: Parts are trimmed and designed to be easy to put together. Helmet comes assembled. Comments: Designed especially for taller/larger body types and has more capacity to fit these troopers (without shims) than TM or AM. Arm and legs molds can be adjusted up or down to custom fit measurments supplied by trooper. The helmet is 4% larger than an original helmet. The difference is subtle but better matches the scale of the (RT)suit. So might work? But that being said I have an RS lid and am 6'1" and it is plenty big. I have a TE lid that is smaller than the RS, so if by movie accurate you mean TE derived perhaps the RS lid which is cast directly from their ANH lid would work?
  19. I usually wear a size 13. I got a size 13 from TK and they were a little big, but nothing a larger sock or some insoles or some combo of both can't fix. That being said I got a size 12 the next time and they do seem to fit better. Just need to decide which ones get the soles painted white on for the ROTJ look...
  20. Mine was probably old. Here in the rural parts of the States, its hard to find Humbrols and I had to order some and who knows how long it was sitting around. It is also possible I simply did not stir it enough being used to testors.
  21. Wow amazing work! I cannot fathom the skill needed for this (neat toys you have to help though!) I wimped out and bought a sterling parts kit, real hengstler, and real M38 to make my display blaster. And I still had issues getting it all put back together. there is no way in the world I could make it all from scratch and then assemble it!
  22. Very possible, it also could have been that I was applying it to slippery PVC (though I had roughed it a bit with fine sand paper).
