  1. Originally yes. But they still would rotate back. So I moved the connection forward to help force them to rotate forward more. I tried a couple spots until I got a happy balance when my arms are up vs down.
  2. Removing the E11 is not a problem. Returning to the holster I struggle with it. even more so in my ESB config. This applies to both my hasbro mod and Doopy full resin (each has its own holster).
  3. To keep mine forward I attached the strap forward of center on both the shoulder bell AND on the underside of the shoulders strapping.
  4. Congrats ... welcome to Centurion trooper. Well done. :salute:
  5. congrats on your EiB appointment Trooper!
  6. Coming along nicely, won;t be long now. My observations based beyond what you mentioned: tighten the butt to cod strapping, the cod is a little "happy" losen strapping between chest and back so they both come down more. Back toward kidney and chest over the ab ditch that undersuit top, the sharpie over the logo just stands out too much on the back of your neck. keep it up!
  7. to clarify my situation, the SPLIT RIVETS on my sides are losing the white paint ( I used white spray paint before installation). My Ab buttons painted in Humbrol are holding strong.
  8. looks much better with the small stripes...
  9. I have not, I used Humbrol paints on my ab buttons.
  10. 42, married, father of 2 Just a few months in and cannot foresee a time where I would not thinks its a good idea to kit up for charity. Though at some point I am sure a TK might be too difficult to wear (knee and back issues).
  11. Best of luck with your build. Look forward to following the build.
  12. Congrats on your Centurion appointment Trooper! :salute: hahaha AMEN to this!!
  13. Congrats Jamie on your EIB appointment! :salute:
  14. No not even close to out of ideas. I have some pretty big wants and desires. But what I don't believe in is New Years resolutions/promises. And all too often most who make them have an amazing pile of excuses as to why they don't follow through. I'm too lazy for that. So I just except who I am and don't bother I tend I let things flow with this hobby. If the idea, time and money lineup I'll proceed. If not, no big whoop. Aloha eh!
  15. I am gonna buck the trend and say that I will promise nothing. I will only endeavour to be the best trooper and 501st representative I can be in 2013. If time, money and life allows, I will investigate new projects. Happy 2013 everyone.
  16. just trying to imagine how much E6000 it took to melt that portion of the ab button plate. I would think you would only need to glue around the perimeter, and this has damage half way across. Anywho, its unfortunate. Good luck in acquiring a replacement piece. Hoepfully the ab portion has no damage and its just the button plate. cb
  17. From the side it looks like the forearms are oversized compared to you're arm. Not sure if this is an illusion when viewing on my phone. If it is not then you may consider a bit of sizing there. As mentioned the shoulder bells need to be shortened to almost touching ands rotate them forward. I did this by moving the bell snap on the bridge connectors forward and then also attached the snap in the shoulder bell itself slightly forward of center. Try this extra step only if they still over rotate.
  18. I like the logic here. I will do all I can to get every new trooper I encounter to go for EIB. I'll try to bug an existing trooper or too as well. I have a couple in mind already. Happy EIB Year!!
  19. For the sake of helping others in the future. What glue did you use to cause that to happen? To address your question, try contacting the maker of your armor for one first as it will hopefully color match better. Good luck.
  20. I love me some clamps. But magnets were super helpful. If I had to do it over I would have purchased bigger discs.
  21. If you can heat it a little to help bring in the wings, it will help. This step I did not take and wish I had. Easy does it though of course. Good luck.
  22. Brian, keep in mind in your last photo posted that your legs are very close together. with your thighs and armour on, you will be standing a bit more wide and it doesn't seem as wonky. I don't mind the minor cracks, one was easily fixed with that T-shirt/crazy glue trick, plus, it adds a little character. The other area that cracked likely would have cracked with a rivet too assuming it was meant to be riveted and be aligned on the sides. the stress point presented itself during install, not through wearing it.
  23. I aligned mine on the sides and just accepted the front was a bit wonky. I wish I had used the heat gun, as it has caused some stress cracks when I glued the every loving bejeebus outta that thing.
  24. The French version of the CRL is still showing TD, but I assume that is a fix in progress... Thanks for the update Tom!
