  1. Welcome back, I am sure there are a LOT of new faces here.
  2. Well done everyone another great newsletter. I love the brochure!!!
  3. Clampy goodness. Keep up the great work, you'll be strapping this puppy in no time!
  4. I hear you Glen, we got the plague running rampant through our home, all four of us have a combination of fever, cough, strep, etc etc.. booooo!! hang in there.
  5. Thanks Brandon, it does get a bit chilly up here in Toronto, so this will be a good chilly weather kit. Also, on events that last more than a couple hours, it will be nice to have alternate characters for people to interact with. Most folks would not really recognize the difference between my ANH and ESB TK changes.
  6. fresh popcorn is a popping, cannot wait to see how this progresses! Good luck Tom, this is gonna be sweeeet!
  7. Thanks for the tip Karin, I'll have a looksee.
  8. I cannot take credit for 99% of this, as it was purchased as a built kit, I just had to make a few mods for my size. Combo Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas for myself present.
  9. hehehe, you called him Clinton Keep up the good work Perth! Toronto... OUT.
  10. Here is a video of the system I got from Andy of the Capital City Garrison: http://s837.photobuc...9C393875BE2.mp4 I don't have the specifics on how he does it, but I can connect you with him if interested. Also, I am looking into one of those Think Geek persponal soundtrack shirts. you can put in a SD card and have like 20 different sounds....
  11. switch runs to the hand that plays the battle cry on command.
  12. i'll give you a hint -> I only had to trim the robes....
  13. That is my winter project....Tusken Rifle
  14. hahah, Sitting will be nice... We'll see how I hold up once I get a chance to troop in it. Nothing on the books at this point the whole month at this point...
  15. yeah, getting a shotgun here in the city MAY be an issue . I have been using Steel Wool and will also use cheese grater and some rocks...that work was done/is on going after I submitted. I need to be careful with washing as I cannot afford to shrink the material. Will also be dirtying things up a little with some various paint techiques I have come across. PLEASE share everyone if you have recommended processes for this. The more I know the better.
  16. hahaha, but this will at least keep me from considering dirtying up the TK.... keep the dirty stuff in a separate box
  17. Nice progress and for the record, TK-Clamps approves of this photo:
  18. Just got word today that my Male ANH Tusken Raider kit has been approved. I'm now a DZ (that sounds so Sorority like). I stil have some work to do to to improve the weathering and tattering of the robes. Special shout out to Berzerker from the Capital City Garrison for this great kit and assistance in getting it all ready to go! couple of shots for your viewing pleasure:
  19. ! Go Speed Buggy, Go !
  20. What was communicated to me through my build process: 1. I believe the consensus is to have it aligned with the end of the plastic belt. 2. Split rivets on AB/Kidney info is in the CRL "... equally spaced out along the depth of the armor and about 10mm from the edge. They may be painted white, or not. Note: For the original used TK armor, this type of rivets where, bifurcated rivets or split rivet." 3. I think this is a judgement call once everything is fitted to see that it sits on your body in the approx location to the screen shots. That was what was suggested to me during my build. 4. I went with 5, which worked for me. I would wait until you get the torso fitted and strapped and see what works best fit wise, I wish I had waited to the end to attach mine as I had to remove them (causing a crack ) and reset.
  21. That has the makings of a tutorial. Do you or Billy have any images to support those steps.. I would love to have this tip pinned up somewhere for when i need it for the inevitable cracks I will get and my mates as well. Thanks Stephen and Billy.
  22. Sergio you may want to consider another action shot as the one posted is blurry with a busy background and will be more difficult to clean up for your EiB area shot. It'll be a good excuse to suit up once more to make you look your best. </my2cents>
  23. Looking great Sergio. Excellent images and very well fitting build. Best of luck with your EiB approval, though I don't think you need any luck....
  24. ALRIGHT GLEN!! Sorry I am slow on recognizing this thread. We'll be watching this thread! Get this kit done so you can go back to Blaster projects Good luck and have fun!
  25. Congrats on your approval Trooper Tim!!
