  1. Take your time and cut with care for the rest of the build.
  2. Is there an Internet "Select All -> Delete" command for all this Harlem Shake Crap? ughhg.
  3. Ok cool. So it does work. Not having purchased one yet, Can you clarify how modded it. Was it just taking he speaker cable and dropping on a 1/8" stereo mini plug on the end and done? Or did you have to pop it open and rewire anything?
  4. The Pink Pony! the experts here will get you some options.
  5. I really want this for my Tusken vs my TK (the TK loop mp3 is adequate for that need). I prefer to use my amp/speaker I use for my tusken sound glove device, but would love to be able to use this to load grunts and howls and whatever so I can loop certain items and do certain ones one off on demand.
  6. I am thinking of picking up one of the Personal Soundtrack shirts and adding various sounds for my kits to loop or single play via an SD card. What I am not sure about, and I am having trouble finding is how do I modify it to work with an Aker Amp versus the speaker it comes with? I am concerned that the file selection box has a build in amp to drive the tshirt speaker and I don;t want to overload the Aker by pumping too much signal to it. Does anyone have one of these shirts and done a similar mod?
  7. Dan, here is my single fan location. ----------- If oyu want to try one out, I can provide you the Squirrel Fan. I do like that Craig did with his by removing the excess casing to get it into the recessed area next to the Hovi nubs, but in turn I like the position of mine as I can more easily get the airflow between my nose and eyes without dryign out the eyes or blowing UP the nose. . You can also increase airflow by allowing a very slight gap on the underside of the lens. This will also assist in reducing fogging. I prefer Velcro to the gluing as it allows for tweaking the position as needed (more towards eyes when fogging risk is greater). Battery pack is just under the ear on mine: ------------
  8. Dan, I use a single squirrel fan in the lower right area that blows between the frown and eyes. This keeps things from fogging pretty well. I found that I had enough room in the bucket that I did not need to draw air in or out directly. I can take a photo when I get home from work. If you need a squirrel fan/9V box, I can set you up next time we meet up.
  9. Welcome aboard future trooper. You're definitely in the RIGHT place. Take your time and research and ask questions. The Search function digs up a wealth of information. Good luck with your purchase and build!
  10. Well done to both candidates. Much respect for being willing to put yourself your views out for all to see and critique. Congrats to our new DL Eric! David. I don't think there is any reason to feel you have disappointed folks.
  11. I use the pet mesh as its a nylon material versus the other mesh options that are Fiberglass or metal. I bought a large roll that I share with the local folks that need it.
  12. Excellent!
  13. Ha, that is hilarious
  14. Voted!
  15. Definitely recommend the chatter file, its a nice add on for some troops.
  16. Great looking kit. Welcome to Centurion Trooper!
  17. I was kinda thinking along those line, not because I want to pad my designations, but, well, because they are simply that close in CRL requirements. I think the main difference is the Gloves for Ti Reserve or something along those lines. I will reach out to Cosplaysky to inquire as well.
  18. Guys, I don't think Phi's point here it to say that its the wrong colour for EiB. He is recommending a change to your kit that can improve the overall look and accuracy based on what the collective FISD group feels is the more accurate colour choice. Same goes with the recommendations/observations in my initital post. Our motto....Troopers helping Troopers, right? We want you (everyone) to look great, so we are providing some tips to do so. Please do not take this as a personal attack on you or your build. I'll be the first to admit my build was not perfect, but I took the recommendations from the group and did little tweaks to improve the look of the kit. Some recommendations I did not do (or do yet) as I was happy with the fit or look of the specific items. In the end, it will come down to you to accept or decline the feedback.
  19. SWEET RIDES!
  20. I was wanting the vinyl decal version as well. What's the velcro hint for? to be able to remove the cog when you don;t want it?
  21. Shall I assume the costume bay one won't be suitable for level2/3 requirements for various kits that require the flight suit?
  22. Alright all you TK's.. I know many of you also have Tie Pilot, Off-Duty Tie or Imperial Crew kits. Which maker is currently the GO-TO maker for the black flight suits?
  23. Howdy. Congrats on your 501st acceptance and good for you for submitting for EiB right away. Love to see that! hope you don;t mind, a couple of questions/recommendations to kick the build up a notch. I dunno if any of these things will prevent EiB, I'll leave that to our DO to decide. I cannot tell if it is just the lighting or what, but your close-up of the AB buttons makes them look all very dark blue/black. I can see on your full body shots you use Grey and the Dark Blue. Also, what is that metal looking piece under the 4 button section? I am not expert on buckets, but there does seem to be a tad bit of flashing remaining in the eyes, might be worth a little touch up sanding when the time is right, not a biggy, but just something to make the kit a bit better. The thighs and shins seem a whee bit close, I can imagine there is a lot of bite happening when you walk about, stairs included. perhaps a little tweaking on the strapping and a bit of trim might help. Adding a bit of padding to the outside of the left knee will straighten it out a bit. Also, I believe the cover strip should not extend down over the raised portion of the bottom of the thigh. The TD clips could move closer to the end caps. I believe the current recommendation is about 1/8"-sh from the cap or so....I believe this is something that will prepare you for Centurion changes that were voted on in the Fall that have not yet made it into formal CRL. The shoulder bells could come closer to the shoulder straps (shorten the strapping so they almost are touching). Add a strap to the top of the hand plate (to hold the top down so it does not flare out as much (this will reduce getting it caught on things (or yourself). I used 1" elastic for the top running across the top of my palm. I used a black elastic hair tie a the bottom of the plate that secures around the wrist. good luck and again, congrats on your 501st acceptance!!
