  1. Made a little Harlem Shake with my wife and twin boys.
  2. I would hit up tupperwareTK and ask him if he has another from a parted out kit. That guy is charging way too much and then 15 bucks for shipping. Not only is it too short, hes sticking you with extra fees.
  3. At first, it looked like Pickles was winning the battle. Then Clamps found a chair and SAT DOWN IN COSTUME for the win! Thats a rad Tuskin bro! I love your team's troop reports! Isaac
  4. I know right now its about a year to get your stuff from him. He will not reply to email you send him either. On the Tie Pilot forums, he only replies to one person so everyone has to ask that guy to send Dan questions and find out updates. I don't care if his armor comes with a hand shake from Lucas himself, I would not support his business model with my money. People will tell you, "its just the way it is... its a hobby.... patience is part of it." I don't agree. If you accept money from someone, its now a business. The only reason he can continue to do that is because people continue to financially support it. If his orders dried up, he would start playing nice. Just my 2 cents.
  5. I got mine from wompawear.com. His are inexpensive and turn around was about a week (This was during Dec). He will sew on imp cogs as well if you want them. They are not vinyl though. His compad window is the right size as well. The only thing you will need to do is take off the bottom two pockets from the legs and you are good to go for a RP and a TI. I have a ton of pics of the flightsuit on my WIP thread on the JRS detatchment site. good luck man, Isaac
  6. Give it a go and see what you think. I know mine sounded better when I turned it around. Let me know if it helps bro. Isaac
  7. Wanted to get a little more done on the foam suits today but the wife had other projects for me to finish up. I got a rough cut out of the chest piece and just letting the glue dry before moving on. Then spent the rest of the day sanding and painting this.
  8. Am I seeing things or are the mic tips even scaled down to size? I am speechless.
  9. very cool! Thanks for sharing this. Looks like a really nice turn out too!
  10. Jeroen, Check out Phil's mini trooper thread. He was able to pull off a pretty nice little helmet using an old Rubies helmet. I was thinking of going with a Rubies kid helmet and seeing what I can do to make it look a little better. TM made some JR kits that have mini helmets too. Those things look better than my EIB TK suit too. If you can find someone willing to part with one. I've been on the lookout myself for over a year
  11. Hey Phil, I wasn't even considering it until I saw how your boy's lid turned out. You did an AMAZING job making it look good so I may just go ahead and give it a shot with one of those. My original plan was to get one of the half deluxe rubies kids helmets for 20 bucks and see what I could do with it. My buddy used the face from a rubies halloween costume and then a plastic helmet and made his daughter a pretty good helmet.
  12. That is awesome bro! I am so jealous of these kits!!!! I went out and starting making a foam suit for my guys since we don't have anything close to this quality that I have found in the states. I am happy to live through you though my friend! Keep posting your troops! Isaac
  13. Since I can't sculp or have the time/money to learn/build a vactable I decided to build a foam TK for my 5 year old boys. I am using the TK409.com tutorial. Feel free to move this if you think it shouldn't be in here with the big boys. I went down to the local craft store and got some foam sheets for .98 cents each and some glue for 2.00. These things should cost about 10.00 each without a mask. Not sure what to do about mini helmets yet. Below are what the sheets look like from the store. My sons are identical twins *insert clone joke* so I only had to wrangle one of them to take some measurements for both suits. I cut out the forearms and biceps and then some fake cover strips and glued them down. For the forearm divots I cut a wider strip and then rectangles our of that to give depth. The biceps will get glued into a tube they slide on and attaches to the shoulder bell like our suits do. The forearms will velcro together.
  14. Give me a few hours and I'll update my original build thread with what I come up with. I don't want to hijack Sam's thread. Sam, building my TK gave me confidence that I could build just about anything afterwards. The feedback and support the FISD members give one another is amazing. And stormtroopers are in way higher demand than Tie Pilots at events. Everyone asks for stormtroopers! Keep on moving forward brother and keep posting pics with your questions. We are here to help ya. Good luck
  15. You *may* want to experiment with facing the amp speaker facing out towards the armor instead of in facing your chest. If its working perfectly then awesome. I noticed on mine I would get random feedback because I had to turn up the volume so loud when I had the speaker facing my body. Someone suggested I face it outward and it was a HUGE improvement. Just something to play with a little if you get bored brother.
  16. Well now that has been pointed out I can't NOT notice my rivet covers on my belt. Looks like I know what I am doing tomorrow now. Thanks a lot Mathias Sam, keep up the patient pursuit towards the end game bro! Welcome to the linebacker trooper club. The best part is you can always find yourself in group shots!
  17. Exactly what they said. I had to do the same with my kit. I just used wider shims in the back of my calves and they close just fine. We can help you get setup with nearly any set of armor you decide on bro. Good luck.
  18. Thanks again guys! Patrick, to be honest, I was stoked just to get those thighs over my calves buddy But that what happens when you show up and forget that you were working on your lid after your last troop.
  19. Man I suck, I was too excited to send in my submission that I just said "pick anything as long as I pass". Now Im TK 9492
  20. The photographer said he put the sun / background from Juno Alaska behind us. In reality, we were in a dirt field off the side of the road. Then he had us stand in that V formation and moved the flashes around for each person and I assume he photoshop'd us all together. We were standing there for about 45 minutes to get that one shot.
  21. The guy in the trenchcoat is a batman guy. Commish Gordon if I remember right.
