  1. Id try to trim a little bit more around the bottom, assuming you just followed the line cast in. Also its a light helmet so if you just put foam padding in the sides/back/front it should be fine. You really dont NEED padding on top. Also maybe a helmet liner would work the same. Just some thoughts. I also notice the helmet pictured there has ESB decals and an ANH painted frown..wuz-up-wit-dat!?
  2. yes this is 100% true! I almost drilled my hand the first time i did a pipe build! Its lookin great Nicky! If there is anything yourunsure of, please just ask. I know the videos are missing a few things so dont hesitate to ask me bud! Yea i forgot to mention there are some holes marked on the template i dont use. That one you drilled on top i think is supposed to be for a bolt to go through down to the handle...but thats really a bit overkill to me so i dont use it. Good to see you put the cocking handle on correctly, unlike myself lol. TIP..i used 1" gaffers tape and taped the dremel to my shopvac hose end...so it sucked up the dust as i dremeled
  3. Looks like it was a fun time! I love those backdrops..do you know if those are available on the Legion boards...i dont recall seeing those. We may be looking to pick up a different one than we already have. Also what happened to that scout helmet!!!
  4. wow, what a fantastic build! Belated Congrats brother! Ima ctually going to save those pics for my next build!
  5. CHUBBS!!!! Chubbs is awesome haha
  6. When i build Sandtrooper helmets with a high brow, i sometimes will put a rivet right in the center ,under the rubber trim of course, and that solves that issue lol
  7. The ANH and ESB blasters have a flat section of the main barrel tube that is flat, where the bayonet lug goes and forward. The ROTJ is a different model sterling and doeswnt have that.
  8. My first thought was the kidney plate was upside down. Could that be it? If not...nevermind me lol..
  9. Signed the guestbook. Deepest condolences, thoughts are with Andrew and family
  10. added ya on the interest list for run #2 on the sale thread
  11. Dont know if i'll be doing any extended stocks, but i guess only time will tell! GOOD NEWS! Resin has arrived! I will start full casting this weekend!
  12. Lord willing there are no hiccups in the production..you should be able to!
  13. ha sorry bro, but dont sweat it, literally as soon as this run is done, i will do another I just dont wanna get too ahead of myself so im limiting each batch. Most likely the resin will arrive tomorrow or Saturday and i will begin casting these. Vern has decided to send me the scope and counter to take molds from so that will happen next week most likey. By then all the rest of the kit should be cast, So really the next run should be in Feb Just as a note... the 1st run is going on now , and payments are being accepted. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/22600-dvh-e-11-blaster-kit-anh/page__st__40#entry284128
  14. I always used the blue stuff myself with great results. Thats 3M stuff seems tempting to try though Matt.
  15. ATA is awesome! Both my Sandtrooper and TK's are ATA. Its sturdy and accurate. Its perfect for trooping, price point and quality. in my opinion one of the best out there, in terms of costuming use and accurate looks. Are there more accurate out there? sure, but i think ATA holds its own great. Personally, i would only go with the more accurate suits (TM, RS) for displays.
  16. I saw ANH ij thetres when i was 6 going on 7...Now, im 41 going on 16 Dont plan on stopping until i physically cant do it anymore Old sarge is in Carida i believe, and is, i think, in his 70's like Matt said early in this thread. I've trooped with him, he is super cool.
  17. Yep, sure is...its in the ongoing run section...i'll add ya to the list buddy!
  18. Cant blame ya there! Hope ya had fun none the less..maybe next time your around! Hope ya had a great holiday Ingrid!
  19. At this time the trigger will be a separate piece, but not moveable. it will be the entire trigger though, with the hole for the pivot bolt. So you may be able to rig something up. The sterling trigger group is very intricate and if all the parts were resin they would just break. The group is an entire unit which is then placed into the handle that's welded to the body. So that's why its not as simple as some other kits would be. The grip handle itself will be very similar to doopy's except that the actual grip will be separate, like the real sterling. I do have plans for the future to try and make it so you can make the trigger workable with something like a pivot bolt and a spring that when you pull the trigger it will activate a button for your electronics. But that will be a process that will require alot more thought, especially to keep it accurate looking without a bolt sticking out where it shouldnt be. so for now, it is static.
  20. Still acceptable for basic approval, although depreciated, and legion CRL states to avoid it. I would check with your garrisons GML, as some garrisons no longer accept them. I for one have stopped accepting them into my garrison. Its fairly easy these days to get a more accurate lid at a reasonable price.
