  1. Thats a good idea. When i build mine, i will video it and post that up. Its not really TOO complicated but maybe the instruction sheet would be a good idea, if only to help with where the "bolts" go.
  2. lol thanks Derrek! Hope your right! lol. Thanks Jeff! i will be continuing to post here as i finish up the casting of the last few parts. The only large part left id the stock, which for now will be 1 piece, resin, non functioning. Down the line, i will make aluminum/resin folding stock upgrade kits to have it function. I just have these parts left to cast: rear cap, the inner barrel parts, trigger, trigger guard and the selection switch. Most of these can be done in one day..just waitin for that last batch of rubber! Thanks again for everyones support on thisd project! I hope everyone will enjoy these kits! Im hoping to build myself a kit before i start taking payments so everyone can see one built. Just hope i have enough black resin for the one for myself lol. What do you guys think about incuding an "instuction sheet" with the kit? I was thinking about doing that since there will be more parts than the doopy's kit. You guys think you'll need that?
  3. Ok one more batch of rubber is on the way, and i think that will be it! So i started a thread to gauge interest which will turn into the purchase run. If your interested in a kit, please post there! I am posting it on the MEPD as well, so slots may fill quick! Only doing 12 to start! Check it out here: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/22600-dvh-e-11-blaster-kit-anh/
  4. I agree with this 100% Did you ever get your armor? I have plans to do snowie armor...hope it to be as good as LAWS eventually, maybe after a V2 or V3, but im going to try my hardest to get it as close as i can in my first go. If anyone knows me here, they know communication is VERY important to me as a seller, and i intend to keep it that way as i venture into armor making.
  5. Frown is correct. When they say 8 teeth cut out, they mean 8 holes cut between the teeth. I always kinda thought that may confuse some. the screws... 2 (the short thicker silver ones)are to attach the faceplate to the cap-n-back (this is instead of using Rivets)The other 6 (thin longer brass ones)are for the ears as mentioned. 2 on the main "ear" one on the bottom. duplicated on the other side.
  6. Excellent Vern! Thank you again for all of your contributions to this project, monetarily and otherwise! Thanks Nicky! Happy holidays to you too!
  7. ive managed not to get sucked out of the airlock lol im in bklyn tho and wont be around or id totally meet up with you guys :/
  8. Thanks everyone for the kind words. im doing my best with this project! Thank you Vern..for the ideas and the funds. I just got this new android phone (my first one) that im posting this with for Christmas and now have full internet on it and saw your payment this morning. Thank you so much. More rubber has been ordered. Between this, and the batch im getting from Quartermaster over on the MEPD, i should have enough rubber to complete all the molds. Hopefully. lol. But so far it seems im on schedule for a mid to late January introductory run.
  9. Thanks Tony! Nope no more difficult, or expensive..just depends which resin i buy. Id likely have some of the off-white resin on hand for anyone that thinks thay may have issues with customs...but i will primarily cast them in black. Ideally, like Vern mentioned, you wouldnt want to paint the grip. As the grips on the real sterling were Black Plastic. Exactly Vern,i wouldnt see why you would paint the entire blaster silver first for this particular application Glen. I do mine exactly like Vern said. Flat black (i use black primer as it has a more gun-like greyish tone to it) dry brush with some silver and matt clearcoat it. Still not sure how i could get the trigger to be able to work, but i'll figure it out. Id have to cast the entire trigger group separate, and the "outer" frame of the grip. the problem with that is the resin would be fairly thin on the frame the trigger group goes in and may easily break. But i'll figure something out. This is a feature id like to have as an option when building. The first batch will have the trigger group cast into the frame of the grip Similar to doopy's but with a separate outer grip.
  10. good news! The one mold i was iffy about worked out like a charm. I wanted the grip to "slide" onto this kit the same way it does on the real gun. That meant i had to make a mold with the outside and inside cast. I knew how to do this only by seeing videos, but every application is different and alot of factors are involved. So i calculated to best i could on how to do this and it worked out perfect! It did however take alot of mold rubber, but thats ok, as this piece doesnt need to be modded and remolded. A garrison mate of mine, John, that some of you may know from the MEPD as Quartermaster, is also contributing by getting me more supplies in exchange for a kit as Tony did here. I cant thank Tony, and John enough. This keeps this project moving forward. I think its safe to say that by sometime in January i will be offering kits. So here is the result of the grip molding... The black one is the original I am VERY happy with the results. Aside from it just looking more realistic having the grip separate, it also allows you to add real bolts if desired to the areas where the real bolts were with little to no modification. Its details like this that i hope will set this kit a step above the rest.
  11. Yea i wanna try and keep em at an even $100. I think i'll call the scopes and counters the "2392's" to honor Verns contribution to the project ChookaBoom..if you think it will be an issue because the parts are black, id gladly do one in the standard off-white for you if you'd like. ...BTW..the rubber showed up today! i want to try and get on some molding very soon today and a little tomorrow. I had to finish up a commissioned death trooper for someone today
  12. Im working with Vern on the scopes and counters. He's going to supply molds from one of his scopes and counters. So that may be something that can be done in the future as well. Would love to make a scope with some realistic lens action lol.
  13. Thanks! Im hoping to keep it at about $100 including domestic shipping. My kit will be cast in black onyx resin, and include the PVC pipe, resin t-tracks, a metal scope rail, resin scope and resin counter. So it will include everything you need. I may even eventually include screws for a more secure build than just gluing. Gotcha Bulldog! Once i get the molds done i will do a test build. If all comes out well, i will take pre-orders of 8-10 kits.
  14. Hey Vern...sorry bout that i dunno how i missed em! Just replied to the PMs Supplies have now been ordered. Thank you again Tony!
  15. Ya know what Nicky...your probably right. Tony aka, "Geaux Saints" has offered to forward some cash for a kit to help pay for supplies so i can keep this moving for all of us. I really cant thank him enough. As soon as he sends it over, i will order supplies and will continue as soon as they get here! Thanks Tony!
  16. Thats great guys! Glad you got some money back! My kits should be ready around March Maybe before...but im gonna say March for now lol. Im at a stand still right now until i get more cash for more mold rubber to continue onward. But things are lookin up. I may have a new job on the horizion..a little more hours, but i'll have a decent paycheck again, so i will be able to move on with all my projects.
  17. I have an ATA as well and have no problems with the paint showing through. I just used krylon black primer and a matte clear coat inside mine. No show through and like was mentioned, i just like that kids cant see up in the helmet. i think it looks cooler that way anyhow.
  18. I think the actors grabbed whatever is likely, especially for ANH. I know the sandtrooper E-11's were different becuase they couldnt bring weapons into Tunisia. So they were cut off at the back and have no triggers. They were reassembled once they go there and they have a seam on the back where they were put back together. I think all the deathstar stormies had the cylinders in ANH. ESB did not. They all had counters in ANH, ESB did not the wires seem to vary from blaster to blaster. I believe the M38 and M40 were used the most in ANH. ESB we did see the M19. But dont quote me on that for sure, someone with more knowledge should chime in. Perhaps Vern..aka TKBondservant There were 2 different ESB blasters. Some were ANH blasters with no counters...others were the "Stunt" or "promo" blasters, which had extra greeblies and a solid scoperail with the M19 scope. They also had a flat nozzle tip with no bolts in it. The "stunt/promo" blasters are the same ones most of the snowtroopers had. Although recently we have seen some with the counterless ANH blasters as well.
  19. MC's TK you can get from Tray right here on FISD. It is a nice set of armor, made with a slightly heavier gauge plastic, .90 i believe..so the detail is a little softer, but the armor itself is bombproof! Very nice stuff.
  20. Yes, ive seen threads removed/locked when a member copied another members items. Being a GML, i try and inform my new recruits of vetted makers and to avoid certain makers of poor quality or ethics. I have most of the info from here pasted over in our new recruits section. Thats the best i can do in my garrison.
  21. Thanks Vern. Well according to the place i got it in NJ, they said all of it was legal to own in the tri-state (NY,NJ, Conn) But i'll double check...not that i plan of having police in my house goin through my stuff, but i guess you never know lol.
  22. Ah thanks Vern! BUT i dont want to cut the original clip...even though the whole gun is cut up, lol..id like to keep the clip intact. I can get that look though by just taking a mold of the clip stop and putting it on a casting and then casting the entire clip with the stop attached again. I like the way that looks. Im gonna mess with that and see what i can do
  23. Gotcha on the sight..that was pretty much what i was thinking. OH! that clip stop..yea i have that but its all the way on the other end of the clip. Its a full clip and is like11" long or so. I only cast the end. I probably could cast the stop so it can be added for looks. Do you actually see it when an actual gun is together? Mine is in pieces soooo lol. I want to thank you guys for all the help and input. Means alot, and will help make this a better final product i hope many troopers will be able to enjoy
  24. What do you mean Vern about the clip stop? I was actually thinking of modding the rear sight to better fit the scope rails...great minds think alike I will post up what i wanted to do soon I will be posting pics of the Allen bolts , cocking handle and front sight soon as well!
