  1. I wouldnt worry, ATA is reliable. What im sure has happened is alot of people realized ATA is great armor at a great price, so now he has quite a few orders to fill. Remember this is a hobby and its easy to get backlogged, trust me i know! But ATA will deliver, and you will be very happy with your purchase. It is well worth the wait! Javier, armor makers are not commercial companies, there is no address/phone number for any of them. These guys are hobbyists and do this in their spare time in very small quantities. Do your proper research on the boards here and you will find what you need to find.
  2. yea...what he said lol...he beat me to it lol
  3. I'll be there in my TK and down for the photo shoot! At CV, i had my TD, so this year im showing the TK some celebration Love
  4. Well...this never came to fruition lol. I do still hope to get a small table going though. whether ill do major TK stuff or not, not really sure, but im sure ill do smaller TK things like inner drop boxes ESB/ROTJ handplates...and other character stuff like Fett. Bare with me folks, it'll happen eventually lol
  5. Glad this is still going Karin! Looking good..i think your onto somethin!
  6. Did these ever go into production? they seem super awesome!
  7. Hey guys n gals! I recently worked out a trade with ATA to do some Boba Fett paint/build work for him in exchange for a few helmet kits. My plan is to sell a couple and make the rest display helmets, since both my Sandy and TK are complete. This is my first one from the bunch. Im pretty stoked on it...i built the entire thing in just over 3hrs!...1 of which was just doing the ears, which came out pretty good i think. Managed not to mess em up the first time lol. Just waiting on the tubestripes from Mike to arrive. Anyways, here it is! This one is for sale in the general for sale section btw!
  8. haha..like as if we wouldnt believe you! Lookin good bud!
  9. Jealous! I want one of these suits sooooo bad...however mine will be built for display Looks great Chris!
  10. Did they? oh lord...i hope that doesnt mess it all up!
  11. Ah man..i hate when they do those things. They keep wreckin those cars and making them more rare and more expensive to get! Dont they know they have to weight the trunk so that doesnt happen? lol
  12. Ah man..i am SO jealous. Ive wanted a Charger since i was 9. I love the ol general. That looks sweet man. How come you kept it a 68? i know alot of folks swap out the grille and tail panel to the 69 versions and eliminate the marker lights to make it look like a 69. Unless of course you have a matching numbers 68 there If you dont mind me asking...how much did that run you approximately from start to finish?
  13. I have this discussion with members alot. I persoanlly like what i call "realistic" screen accurate, basically, i want to look like they were meant to look on screen, not actually how it was. I like realism, but still want it to seem like the characdter is not from here. When a kid sees a stormtrooper, i want to seem like a real galactic soldier to him. I avoid the gaffers tape and HDPE showing through the helmet paint. HOWEVER i do like these things for display purposes sometimes. i 100% agree with Paul!
  14. I dont have an extra either..and like the "lady in white" i didnt get the banquet tix...consolidation party sounds nice lol I'll see you all at C6!
  15. oh yea..thats definitely not it lol.
  16. Yea ive heard of using those screen door parts, or draw sliders, even a plastic rake! I dont actually need them, i just had it in my hand and was like, this looks like that weird T-track ive seen on some ESB blasters and ROTJ. Discussing it over on TDH with Locitus, he mentioned the propstore of london ESB blaster..i think thats what i was thinking, and i believe they had dressed it up themselves as he pointed out Also he thinks the ROTJ track was metal, so i could be waaay off here...but it sure looks alot like it!
  17. So today i was working on the Boba Fett shin tools for a commission build im doing. The patterson squeege used for one of the tools has rubber strips in it, hence why its a squeege lol. To make the tools we remove and discard them. Looking at them they reminded me alot of the t-track found on some ESB/ROTJ E-11 blasters. i wonder if im onto something. I need to find a good pic of an E-11 with those funky t- tracks to be sure, but these rubber strips look alot like em.
  18. Yea, im my experience, chrome paint of any kind never looks chrome. Those chrome toy parts were electroplated most likely. But for your purposes you may be able to use the one mentioned and it may be close enough Im curious myself to see how this paint looks Juan.
  19. I always do mine flatblack. I use krylon black primer. I like it cuz it does actually reduce a bit of glare. I also like the look.
  20. Sheesh..this guy sucks!
  21. yea definately try those 2 methods first! Ive never had to trim those parts any further than they "should" be trimmed. When i add the straps to attach the butt/kidney, i just put them on the table face down and add the straps so nothing overlaps. Works everytime
  22. They are both very nice! I personally like the look of the hyperfirm better. It was obviously cast off a real gun with all the nicks n scratches on the stock, and overall weathered appearance. The doopydoos is too cleaned up for my taste...in my opinion . However id proudly use either. For pure durability/weight though, id go with hyperfirm. they make the best blasters out there for trooping, just no way around it!
  23. Far as i recall, pirate trooper is a known recaster of TE2. who i believe was banned from here because of it.
  24. I have some im clearing out from when i used to sell them, you can get EIB with them, im sellin em for $5 a set. though they arent as accurate or nice as Keiths, they still work well. They are in the for sale section
