  1. Got your Pm bud...PM replied. Everyone else, for the future, There is a sale thread that will be kept up to date for these here: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/24015-dvh-e-11-blaster-kits-anh-ongoing/
  2. I cant remember for the life of me how long the TD is supposed to be. I should know this at this point...lol..I did a search but it didnt help. thanks troops!
  3. Thanks for doing the ECG and 501st proud guys! Wish i could have been there but i was sick
  4. I agree with Jim as well, but thats an easy fix. Otherwise this is an amazing job bud! Well done!
  5. The reception has been very well so far. BUT a couple of older troopers that need upgrades havent chimed in yet. I literally thought of this idea only a couple of weeks ago and then i went on vacation. I posted it the same day i posted my response here. But so far everyone seems to like the idea. I dont want to pressure people into doing upgrades, but at the same time i try to make them understand we are representing each other as a Garrison. The ECG was one of the first garrisons and i think we should be at the front of the pack when it comes to accuracy and keeping up to date. So im doing my best to get everyone up to standards.
  6. This has been discussed on a legion level, and a lot of the older guys will grunt and grumble about it, but the fact of the matter is, if you dont keep up to date you just will fall behind. Is it REQUIRED, not immediately no, but everything i have read in the legion charter says your armor must be kept up to current legion standards, so i think the answer is ultimately, yes, older troopers do have to update their armor. BUT it is not required immediately and how much it is enforced seems to go by Garrison GML's. I do believe that it's good practice to do it as soon as you can before you have 10 updates to make at once. What we are trying to do in the ECG is have a once a year "check your costume CRL's" so all the members are aware of any changes that may have been made to their costume types. I persoanally will give different time frames for the adjustments to be made depending on how major they are or how much cost is involved. Something like AB button colors i would say should be done within a couple of months, as the paint to chage this is not expensive. and it will take minutes to do. Something like as an example, thew metal clips on the detonator i would give a little more time on as they cost a little more than paints and some time consuming labor is involved. As for new guys, ive been lucky in the ECG and almost ALL of my newer members are excellent representations of their characters. Only 2 of the TK's ive cleared in the last 2 years had FX helmets and one of them already swapped it out for a better helmet. The legion is naturally moving forward, and especially with TK's, id love to see a sea of TK's and they all look uniform again (like back in the day when everyone had FX) with the same style helmet. Its getting to the point that an FX helmet is really starting to look like a sore thumb in a crowd of TK's. We are supposed to be the best of the best, thats why we are where we are.
  7. Hey troops, i just wanted to post a thread here for the troopers waiting on Blaster kits or replacement parts from me. I am leaving tonight to go on a Caribbean cruise gifted to my wife and I by her grandparents (cuz lord knows i could never afford one lol) . I will be unreachable until April 29th. I dont want anyone thinking im ingnoring them if they send PMs and such. I will take care of everyone/everything once im back. SO just hang tight troops! thanks! See ya soon!
  8. Dude you look great man! ...now about that helmet..... Yea i tried it for a week...couldnt stick to it. I didnt mind the taste of the juices or anything, but i had a mental desire to eat something. I dunno how he did it lol. I may look inot this ketogenic diet...seems eaiser! Is it like atkins? Ive done that before with good results, but it seems the last couple of times i tried it i was having a hard time in the first 2 weeks trying to get myself into ketosis. I am however back down to 220. which has been a weight ive been hovering around the last couple of years. But now i need to get below 200!
  9. So i havent posted here in a while...life got in the way of alot of things .....and sitting around making props, and costumes and such really caught up with me. I've put on a few pounds. So i decided to get back on the diet horse! lol A good freind of mine, was telling me about this "juice fast" her and her Boyfreind have been doing and its been working great for him. He has lost 65lbs in about 60 days. He is MUCH bigger than me so he has a ways to go, but i dont need to lose too much more than 65lbs. So i decided to give it a try. It is basically juicing fruits and veggies, and just consuming that. Now before all you heath peeps start barkin at me, lol yes i know to take my multi vitamins and drink lots of water while doing this. Last week i did a pre-juice fast by just replacing 2 meals a day with the juice and eating one healthy meal as well. So ive dusted off my juicer and will be going juice crazy! lol I was told i could start the diet with Naked green machine and blue machine drinks as they are the closest to juicing stuff yourself. So i did that today, and will go veggie/fruit shopping tomorrow This is a 60 day fast, but i will probably do it for 3 weeks and then eat as healthy as i can, almost vegetarian, for about 10 days because im going on a Caribbean cruise lol I dont think i can live on a juice diet on a cruise ship lol. But after that i want to jump right back in and try and do it for the full 60 days. Hopefully i will drop weight quickly and then i will eat fruits veggies, fish and some chicken from then on. Little to zero red meats. I can have kale and beans (not together ew lol) to get my proteins as well as some of the fish and chicken. My wife just had weight loss surgery (gastric sleeve) so she will be on a similar diet, so it will help that we both wont be eating pizza for a looong while lol I also cleaned up my bikes and will be doing some bike riding as well when i can So i want to start documenting my progress....My current weight is 223lbs at 5'7" My goal is to be 155-165lbs.
  10. This is correct although i use both elastic and webbing depending where on the suit it is and if i want it to stretch or not. But yes, the E-6000 will work for either.
  11. Yea like Locitus said, its nothing to worry about It will never be as perfect as you may have it in your head. I remember when i got my first set of armor i was thinking the same thing. When you put the armor on it doesnt really sit perfect on the boot, but overall its something that isnt noticed at all. If you look at the film you will see the same thing. Its just one of those things that over the years in our heads we perceive as being so perfect in the films and then when you get into this hobby and find out the loads of info you do here, you realize "oh the suits werent as perfect as i remember!"
  12. No really sure, but all the armor makers i know told me to avoid it. The only SW armor i KNOW was made with it was the Bikerscout helmets. thanks man...looking at probaly a summer move...fun in the sun lol...but i will have ALOT more space..like...ALOT!!
  13. Totally FX i just saw it lol sold for $1200..poor guy seems to think hes gonna sell it for "so much more" when the sci-fi convention comes to town lol
  14. Thanks bud. I hope so, but sourcing the plastic is a royal pain. smooth on both sides iun white has to be custom ordered and usually at a high volume which i cant lay out the $$ money for, as well as space issues for the sculpting. So im going to hold off on it until i move in July or August and have more space to work on molds and store plastic once i manage to get it.
  15. Actually, my plans to satrt vac forming/sculpting Snowtrooper armor is now on hold for a while, so i am going to continue on with the E-11 kits. Quartermaster also has some personal stuff going on that would have kept him from jumping right in. So since the one thing i wanted to focus on is now not happening, i decided to make the one thing im doing the E-11's. I still have a few commissions to finish as well, but once those are done...im only doing my personal stuff, and these kits. Joshua has been in touch and i got him on my list ....thanks for the plug Locitus!
  16. Anyone interested in one of these , wave 2 has begun! Since i now am working with Dday he will be taking care of you european folks, so those members that were on the wave 2 list, were moved to his list, which gave me a few empty slots for non-euro buyers....So everyone interested(euro or not) check this thread: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/23412-dvh-e-11-blaster-kit-anh-wave-2/#entry294653 Thank you all for your interest!
  17. Yea like i said above, the thinner/flatter side is what i always put on the outside. You usually can tell because when you put the other side on the outside it just wont sit right. Then, as long as you have the "seam" in the rear you should be good
  18. i put the thinner part..i think...but i have no idea if thats "correct", it just seems to sit better that way for me...and the seam goes in the back
  19. Yes they are..one of the standard Sandtrooper issued blasters
  20. Looks good Nicky! You didnt have to paint the grip though! The real ones are plastic so you could have just left it the bare black plastic. The "whiteness" from removing the pour spout goes away if you wash it. But none the less...looks good buddy!
  21. Oh yea when you put the grip on the handle..the grip has 2 little slots in it (on the trigger side on top) you may need to use the cutting wheel of the dremel and just clear em out a bit. That will make the grip go all the way on. I dont know if i did it on your kit or not. If the grip doesnt go all the way on, then i didnt lol.
