  1. Seems like a business bought a bunch of rubies thinking they would sell like hotcakes and got hosed.
  2. I keep meaning to find a embroidery shop here to have mine done. Need to have my name, TD, and numerous patches sewn on. Did you get yours from trooperbay? Looks like the same one I have. There's some really cool helmet bags on the 501st forums too.
  3. Just make your own mount and follow along the Electronics area of the forums
  4. My wife says mine look like Peewee Herman boots
  5. If you really want to break those boots in, wear them out to the club sometime this weekend. They are highly fashionable and all the rage with kids these days.
  6. Put in a inner strip. Glue one side at a time. May need to give one side a warm water bath to help it conform
  7. If we purchased the SHA from you, do we need to replace the voltage regulator that's already installed on it?
  8. Just getting around to seeing this, but congratulations on all the hard work and look to see you going after the higher levels. One day I'll join you on the death star when my emperor at home allows me to order new imperial armor that has yet to be touched by the sands of Tatooine.
  9. Walt makes some fantastic armor so you'll be more than happy. Great work on those ears! Wish I got it done right on my first try.
  10. They look great. Just cut away a notch at the top of the calves and/or bottom of the thighs for mobility and you're good to go!
  11. I'll be buying bought the XP-3 today hopefully so I can start this project! I'll be picking up the other parts here and there.
  12. And if you have PDFs of the schematics that'd be awesome. I tried printing the two JPGs but they were too blurry
  13. Do you have a link for the inline fuse holder? If not, what gauge wire is it so I can find the closest thing?
  14. Sounds like a non-issue then. Move along
  15. The texture, but it might just be the lighting/angle and really be a non-issue.
  16. Yeah, should be fine. Maybe get a very fine brush and do a quick pass over to try and eliminate some of the brush strokes.
  17. ATA puts you on the list. You don't pay until you're at the top and Terrell makes your armor. If your son is 16, he can get a job and save up to buy the armor himself. He'll appreciate it more in the long run, but that's just my opinion. BTW, I lived in Hope Mills when I was stationed at Bragg from 06-14. I miss the damn place like crazy...
  18. How much material do you have to work with? I know AM is a 3 piece set so you might have to trim away material to get the desired effect. On normal 2 piece setups you mess with the tilt of the face to cap pieces
  19. What's the other model that potentially has more battery life?
  20. If you don't mind waiting a year or more, go with ATA. Great armor just too long of a wait in my opinion when there are other great vendors out there too. A big factor is your body type. If you are average height and weight though, check out Walt's Trooper Factory. If you're on facebook request to join his page there as Walt has some awesome stuff coming down the pipeline too.
  21. If it makes you feel any better, I was the only person in my garrison at my first troop that had them attached. I was also the only one who had trouble putting on and removing my bucket too though.
  22. Kind of looks like you did the same mistake as I did and put the templates on the wrong side. There is a subtle difference in the stripes. Here's how it should look:
