  1. I'm not wishing to endorse any particular manufacture of glue... But use E6000! It's very strong and can be undone. Drips or over spill can simply be rubbed off with your finger. If you've had incident of the glued joint coming undone, then the fault has to lie in something that you've done. It sticks best to a roughed then cleaned surface. Don't use to little glue. If you apply a touch to much, you can wipe the excess off with your finger. Any dried over spill is also easy to remove as it becomes a rubber compound. E6000 all the way.
  2. I like the overall look of your armour on you. The size, shape and gaps look good. I'm glad I don't have the hard decision of making the final call. I was a little concerned about the cut line that you have chosen on the right side of your sniper plate. The left side Is a traditional cut line. Good luck trooper
  3. Pauldrons are also good for keeping food from spoiling your uniform.
  4. Congratulations Trooper, I expect that we will see you in the Centurion lounge soon.
  5. Hi there, does anyone know if it is possible to change your board name here? If so, how do you go about doing it? Thanks
  6. In pics 1 & 13, the right one. Yes.
  7. Your look and fit in this armour is very good. Good luck to you.
  8. "Oscar Speech" Thank you Gary. To hear words of praise from my UKG C.O. is truly an honour, and worth more to me than a centaurion badge. I have a massive respect for you and the other UKG armourers, for your help, experience and encouragement. I have to also mention Steve Weir and Billy Haggis. I love you guys
  9. Thank you Mogwai. It was touch and go there. I nearly failed approval.
  10. To help any future readers of this thread that are "building blasters for centurion" Please find below a comparison of my "funky trigger" against the standard trigger. In my next picture you can see the std white trigger overlaid over my "funky trigger" I opplogise whole heartedly over this modification and promise to do better work in future. I have a new Doopydoos full resin kit on order, and a genuine functional scope for the next one.
  11. The trigger is functional on a doopydoos full resin rather than the std static one. Well spotted. You would never notice on anyone's clearance pics this. My photos are probably too clear
  12. Your building and prop making skills are awesome.
  13. Thank you Serge. I have now converted my WIP to an application for TK-3796 Requesting ANH Stunt Centurion status [TM]

  16. May I ask how wide the metal clips are on your TD?
  17. The UKG top armourers have passed the following tip on to me... They have seen the glue cause a reaction to some plastic by warping it as the glue heats up the metal snap face. Place a small cover of electrical insulation tape over the snap head before applying the glue. This is the procedure that i follow. Before you start any crimping. Un roll a few inches of tape, then put the snap heads down on them. Cut the tape between each snap fastener then wrap it round the head. Make sure each tab of plastic is sandpapered first before you add the fastener. Then add the top and bottom of the fastener with the plastic tab piece in between. The finished tab is then ready to glue to the sanded and cleaned Armour surface with your E6000 glue.

  20. Hey Dday. I'm not prepared to single out any ones builds. Sorry. There are not too many to look through if you fancy it. You are excused by me. I'm sorry I made a ... How do you call it "A chicken out of a feather" I think I was frustrated that I made a mistake. Anyway... Moving on, I have fully kitted up today and had photos taken, so I will update my WIP soon.
  21. Mathaius, listen. I'm only one person. The first person to be subjected to the proposed rule so far. This exercise is surely going to help you and make it easier for the future. You have passed Centaurion's in recent months with rivets in the middle of the thigh pack and some very odd corner curves. I agree not to follow other builds and I won't do it again. I accidentally made the mistake of checking other threads and seeing what I thought was acceptable. Thank you for your help and guidance so far.
