  1. Look this over carefully, it may help. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/18243-howto-modifying-armor-for-women/
  2. E6000 is the way to go. just in case you make a mistake. I have used CA with a kicker, to make alignment tabs for the legs and arms if needed. Tabs are easy to remove. I know some people that glue their whole suit together with CA. If you do, be careful.
  3. Hi Dave, try posting the IMG code instead of the link it will make your progress easier to view. My first armor was ATA , have fun with the build.
  4. Another thing that may help is trimming a little more off the back of the ear in the tube area, I just wondering who is the maker of this kit?
  5. The ears can be tricky. Here is pic of my CAP kit, notice that I left quite bit of material in the tube area. This can be sanded smooth and with some spot putty glaze, it will look ok. The last pic's are the right ear if you were wearing the helmet. Have fun RS armor is the bomb.
  6. I like the look of showing a little ridge on the thigh, kind of sexy.
  7. Yeah, trim the edges off like you did on the red armor. Try to keep the corners squared off, not rounded so much.
  8. I have painted a few helmets, and armor, using rustoleum brand paints and primer. The last helmet I painted came out super shiny using Valspar paint+primer in one, the paint was on sale so I decided to give it a shot. The spray can has a special nozzle that is fool proof, and if you happen to get too close it won't mess up your paint job. This paint can be found at Low's. Take the helmet apart before painting, you won't have to worry about overspray that way. Rustoleum Professional can be temperamental, the spray nozzle can take some getting use to. In the past I have removed all the paint with heavy duty oven cleaner and started over because, I wasn't happy with the finish.
  9. Awesome! Even close up. Well Done!
  10. This is covered here, can't beat the price. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/20636-sea-smalltalk-st2/
  11. The shins look fine from here. If the powers that be won't go for the wide thigh strip, maybe you could compromise and make the strip the about the same size as the shin strip. Not as much of the ridge will show and it would look more uniform, just a thought.
  12. One thing you could do to make the shins close better is tape the shins closed and gently heat them with a heat gun. I have done this on a few builds including ATA armor and the shins will close much easier. Then the holes for the elastic won't show and maybe a thinner strip could be used, if possible.
  13. Congrat's on getting your armor. Be sure to get a anvil and setting tool for the snaps, they seem to work better than pliers. Maybe you can return the pliers and get the setting tool. The setting tool cost way less and you probably already have a hammer.
  14. The width of the strip is questionable, but the length...
  15. Nice AP, scootch's helmets are really fun to build.
  16. Awesome build! You are the perfect size for AP.
  17. The ears look good, the left ear sits lower than the right. Lowering in the ear would help with the fit. The new holes would be hidden under the ear piece. Trimming ears can be a pain, but you have done a great job.
  18. The helmet is coming along nicely, I really like the position of the brow. Knee plate looks good. Some of the detail is a bit funky, but nothing you can do about that.
  19. Trooperbay has templets for tube stripes and all the other helmet details. They should last for two helmets, before they get out of shape.
  20. The forearms look sized right, but the biceps are too big for your arms. When you trimmed the biceps, trim the parts equally. I can tell the inner joints were trimmed and not the outer. If you need a pic I can post one up of NE biceps.
  21. They look good. The longer your arms the lower they will sit. Probably just under the edge of the shoulder bells.
