  1. Like said above, trim the bottom of the shins first. You may not have to trim the thighs, maybe just notch the backs. The shorter troopers look really good with less black showing and they make vader look good.
  2. Great armor, I am addicted to pvc armor. One suggestion, if you resize the biceps and make them smaller your bell problem may be solved.
  3. Line up the elbo end so the pieces are even, and then trim excess of at the wrist. Looks like you have trimmed everything to fit. The cover strip will cover the piece sticking out. The wrist should be trimmed reasonably straight.
  4. On the forearms, line up the elbow end and trim the excess of at the wrist.
  5. The parts with the lower inner curve are the inner pieces. Your last photo the parts are paired correctly. The orange one is the left and the green is the right
  6. Hi, Lance How tall are you?
  7. Take your time. Since you are trimming the armor down to fit you, there should be more than enough abs pieces to make finishing strips for all the arm and leg parts. Using e6000 makes taking things apart pretty simple. No need to be nervous. maybe just a tiny bit. You will have to remove all the glue from the parts. The e6000 peels off very easily.
  8. I have built this kit and your thigh fronts look fine. The material for finishing strips in the kit does not match the armor. If possible use the left over trimmed of abs for finishing strips and the result will be better.
  9. I am 6"2" and have a 32" leg inseam and have alot of black showing in the legs. My legs are pretty short for my height. I work with a guy thats the same height as me and his inseam is 34", so if he wore my armor there would be 2 more inches showing in the legs. Personally I would go with a different armor, but it sounds like you have line on the AP.
  10. Take a look at rt-mod, NE and TM armor. TM offers extra long leg parts for taller troopers. Theres not much of a wait time for NE armor and the cost is very reasonable, but I would go with a different helmet.
  11. From what I can tell it looks good, the forearms are very different in shape. Just make sure there not too tight, you want just enough room to get your hand through the wrist opening.
  12. The hyperfirm DLT19 is 48" in length
  13. That should work, your talking about a slight taper to the wrist right?
  14. The torso armor looks good and the shins as well. You could resize the biceps and make them smaller to fit your build better. The thighs I would resize to, it looks like you just overlapped the back of the thighs. Resize them and then use a finishing strip like on the front. I have really skinny arms and legs too, resizing will make you look great.
  15. Looking great Doc, and the romfx to boot.
  16. When you trim to fit, just trim a little less than you marked so if you make a mistake you'll still have some wiggle room.
  17. As said plus, get stronger elastic or double up the ones you have on the chest and ab connection. I had the same problem, very little overlap of the chest and ab. There is an elastic that is woven both directions so it won't be so stretchy. The fabric stores over here have it. Also connect the biceps to the forearms, this will improve the look. Almost there!
  18. You should at least use split rivets, they are easily found. Cap rivets if you can find them. Pop rivets can be used for EIB only, but I wouldn't go that route.
  19. Your second example is the correct way to cut to size. Trim the parts down to fit you and the pieces will line up better. Once you get the girth sized and trimmed you can tape the parts together and trim all the excess of at the wrist. The return edge on the outside of the elbo can be trimmed down, just leave a small return. Jeez I hope this makes sense.
  20. For the record it's 7mm, but 8mm is close.
  21. Lowering your biceps will improve the look.
  22. It happens once in a while. Go over the problem area with #500 grit sand paper and get the armor free of jagged edges.
  23. I have never had a problem with Mikes service. Shipping usually takes a week to ten days and I live 50 miles from him.
