  1. I might have to take you up on that offer sometime My friend has a really cool range set up on his property complete with pavilion and BBQ grill. It's a blast! Robert
  2. Yeah, back aroud 2003 or so I had a Classic Action Vader helm, Galaxy trading armor, shins, gloves and scratchbuilt belt and chest boxes, but other projects intervened and I ended up selling it all There are a lot more choices for Vader helms today. I'll keep it in mind:) Robert
  3. You should see that sucker go with a 30 round magazine slapped in Look up "bump firing" on YouTube...it works on any semi auto. I never noticed that about the brow trim. That and the pinstripe gaps are next on my list I wish I was average size, instead of 6' 6" 300lbs, or I would be building some armor. Guess I could drop some weight and be Vader, but stormies have always been my favorite. Robert
  4. Thanks for the comments It's nice to have an accurate helmet. I modded my EFX lid by raising the brow and installing some GF ears, but that frown was killing me Fear not, I have star foam, frown mesh and S trim on it's way from Trooperbay, and a PM to Keith about his awesome mic tips. Thanks to Gazmosis for offering to help me with my E-11, but I think I'll keep it around as a paperweight Robert
  5. Here is my first attempt at building a tropoper lid. I chose Mark's awesome kit because all the screw holes and trim lines are marked and I didn't want to screw it up lol! This was built pretty much stock as the kit comes marked and is unpainted. I will be eventually upgrading the mic tips. Thanks to Mark for a fun and easy to build kit:) The bad news: (or good!) This has lit a fire under me for building trooper buckets, and now I want to build a chipper painted version, so I now have one of Scootch's CAP lids on the way:) Here it is:) Robert
  6. I haven't filled mine yet, but I plan on using automotive glazing putty before the repaint. I've heard of other people using white silicone caulk. Robert
  7. That looks great! I just finished raising the brow and fitting a set of GF ears on mine in preparation for a repaint. Here's a pic: Robert
  8. Thanks! Those are 147 grain Remington Golden Sabers. Robert
  9. Thanks, it's cool to have a real firing sterling! As for the crinkle coat, good riddance! The stuff applied by Wise Lite Arms is WAY inferior to the finish used on the brittish made guns. Robert
  10. I can see that. When I cut mine down as seen in my pics, I just did it by eye. When re assembled only four rounds would fit in the mag, with a fifth round almost fitting in. Another eighth of an inch or so would allow that fifth round so slip right in. Robert
  11. Well, might as well use my first post to share a little info on the subject. I'm in the process of modding my live firing Wise Lite Arms Sterling Sporter so I can display it as an E-11. I've made a dummy muzzle piece for when the 16.5 inch barrel is removed for display. It's a pretty cool gun, although I had to sand blast the crappy crinkle coat finish off and re paint it Rustoleum satin black. Here's a pic:------
