  1. Looks like a good fit from here. You know it's just right when your hand just fits thru the wrist end. Without the gloves of course.
  2. Looks good, you can trim more of the return off the bottom of the bicep once the glue dries.
  3. I am running 1 nidec fan with a 9v battery and it's very quiet. Not as much cfm as the larger fan and won't run as long. I would rather replace one battery than three. I guess you could get rechargeable batteries.
  4. Looks like you have it right, trim the return completely off at a wrist, so it can be sized better. While your at it trim off the the return on the inside of the elbow. Don't worry about those corners the finishing strip should cover them, I would leave them for now.
  5. Maybe you could take them to a local shoe cobbler, shouldn't cost that much to get them stitched on.
  6. You wear your armor well! Great build thread. Congrat's on your approval and have fun trooping.
  7. That's much better, you could even go a bit more so none of the shelf shoes if it will still fit you.
  8. I would trim more of the return edge on the bottom of the bicep for a better fit and you don't need to show that much of the shelf where the finishing strip sets. Especially if you have skinny limbs.
  9. Have fun on your first troop, relax and enjoy.
  10. I guess I didn't look at enough screen shots before posting. Could it be the lighting, are they all black straps. Edit : I didn't realize till now that his straps were dark leather like in the movie, not black, sorry about that.
  11. You look Great! A few things to consider Helmet, the ears could be slimmer. Holster straps should be plain leather not black. Control panal on td is a little off. Side shots the belt is not in correct position. Blaster counter looks too low The biceps could be resized to fit you better I am not sure if these would effect status but are easy fixes.
  12. For the stunts, most use the single lense, like the originals. Simple and works very well. I use a fan in warm weather to prevent fogging.
  13. The kidney piece is fine, your belt is sitting way to low. The belt should be above the space between the butt and kidney piece. If you move the belt up it will fit you better and look nicer.
  14. Any of those would be fine for a once a year, a bit over priced for something you only wear holloween.
  15. Looks good, you don't have to use a rivet at the bottom. The originals did have them. If you do, the helmet will be real sturdy.
  16. What Eric said plus, attach the chest to the ab piece with straps and snap plates and do the same with the kidney and back armor. This will keep the parts where they belong and spaced correctly, then you can make adjustments to the chest and back straps. Being taller like you,I got the chest piece to overlap the ab by 1" or so, just enough to keep it in place. Use elastic that is woven in two direction, the elastic that comes with the kit is to wimpy and tends to stretch to far. Most fabric stores will have this in stock. I used a heat gun to bend the butt piece so it fit better between the legs, and didn't hang down so far. You may not have to do this. The bells will sit better by installing another snap more foreword on the chest and back strap. You look really good, just a few adjustments and your there.
  17. Hi,I am 6' 2" and sport the same armor, just wondering how tall you are. I may have some suggestions depending on your height. I didn't read through the whole thread.
  18. Should be ok, I install the upper screws first then drill the lower one last.
  19. The neck trim may cover the bump because it's so low, maybe check it before you drill.
  20. I installed mine a bit higher so the screw would go through both pieces. If you do this, you'll have to remove the bump.
  21. You look great, nice helmet.
  22. The right ear is really close to where it should be, if you angle the ear more that will lower it a tiny bit, or you could drill another hole in the face plate and raise the right brow slightly. Also as you can see the right ear sits a tad lower, its all good and wonky.
