  1. Look at the finger print on the bicep and the number of indents on the forearm, that should help you put the armor right

    Nobody home...

The RS email messages come in waves, sometimes I get a lot in a short time, then nothing for weeks.

    Nobody home...

I really hope I'll see my replacement RS Scout helmet soon too, especially because no email replies since 2 weeks ago.
  4. I think you might have changed the left and right arm
  5. For me as a prop collector, to have a helmet like the ones that were screen used it the main goal. If there were 2 versions like you said above, I would get both of them. I want my stuff as accurate as possible, within some reasonable limits, of course. I love all the bumps, warps, dings and dents and, the overall wonkiness of the original props, including the TK helmets. Those things, intended or not, helped create the used SW universe we all love so much.
  6. I always watch them in the order of release: IV, V, VI and then I, II, III

The old crappy, wonky, asymmetrical and rough OT Stormtrooper armors are not good for today's standards of film-making. People going into the cinema don't want to see gaffer tape or badly built armor on a hi-def 3D movie. I love the crappy OT Stormie armor, it is the one and only for me, I have no interest in getting an idealized one, but I totally get the idea of new improved stuff for the present cinematic times.

I think the original Stormtrooper now will have 2 separate branches: the classic OT Stormtrooper (asymmetrical, wonky, rough - which I love) and the RO Stormtrooper (more idealized, most likely symmetrical, better fitting armor and still resembling the classic Stormie). And of course the new RO Stormtrooper armors are different from the OT Stormtrooper in overall design (not discussing here the pauldrons or knee plates) and this is because of a few factors like the much larger budget for RO and prop making (just $11 million budget for ANH - the rough equivalent of $40 million today compared for example to TFA - $245 million - even if RO has a smaller budget it won't be just $40 million), also the need to consider the hi-def quality of image today, where you can observe the issues of anything on screen (no way disney would have allowed asymmetrical rough armors and helmets on screen), then you need build of the armor to fit the actors much better (maybe even for their protection), the same with the props etc. It wouldn't be right for present time to re-use the OT sculpt directly without any improvements. I love the OT TK, but it is not fit for this time and age of film-making.

Sorry but the fat duck-face TFA Stormies are not comparable to the iconic classic OT Stormtroopers (not even with the RO idealized ones)

  11. Since I have no interest in any other SW Stormtroopers except OT ones, I don't truly care if the RO Stormtroopers look like a drunken Cinderella dressed up as a Trek redshirt LOL . On a more serious note it would have been cool to see original ANH Stormtroopers in RO, but we all knew that would never happen.
  12. That is a very rough DLT-19 and not in a good way.
  13. If you talk only about a licensed company then I guess you will not get the most accurate blasters out there considering Rubies and Hasbro blasters are more like toys. The airsoft Sterlings so far are very nice, but missing a few things regarding accuracy. Master Replicas E-11 blaster is very cool, but MR is out of business for a long time already. But if you consider fan made too, then a new bigger world opens up.
  14. Very cool! But what about the EFX Stormtrooper armor that should be released some day? I suppose yours is identical with what EFX will offer?
  15. Very cool videos! Easy to follow explanations for everyone who is interested in a RS armor.
  16. I'm not sure about that. There is a site called Master Replicas but from what Gino said they don't have anything to do with old Master Replicas neither with EFX Collectibles: http://forum.rebelscum.com/t1125295-3/#post19728541
  17. Resin is brittle and quite fragile. The t-tracks were made of ABS. And indeed not rubber.
