I'd recommend you only use velcro for the back of the shim (that's not an EIB thing, it just looks bad if the whole kit is velcro'ed together) Yes overlap will pass EI (I am an example of this) Though for ANH/ESB you should do cover strips (they will soon be a requirement for Centurion) RotJ is meant to be overlap construction

I find you get maximum movement by trimming the top of the thigh and front of the ankle (I can sit down on the floor cross-legged in my kit) -------- Notches at the back stop armour bites, but they affect the look of the legs Ditto to wearing the thighs high

What do you mean by your scraps being lumpy?

Currently the only Centurion requirement for an E-11 is that it not be a Hasbro And there is no requirement anywhere regarding the mag end detail IIRC this was discussed a few months back, but nothing came of it So this should not stop you going for Centurion But I'd totally want to put it the right way around anyway
