  1. They look nice Jesse, the Kenobi saber does that have sound (grating/drill holes at the bottom)?
  2. They're going for about £300 possibly a little more at auction in the UK which I think is nuts when you can buy a sterling for that here. I bought one a bout a year ago (no where near that price thought) but when it arrived the stand was damaged, took me a while to mull over but I sent it back to the seller. Didn't like the fact you can spend that kind of money on the replica and the folding stock didn't operate, no counter nor cylinders its also simply too clean looking. The Fett one however is awesome. No moving parts but it looks the business.
  3. Just take it really steady, might want to put a little grease on it just to mitigate risk of any heat.
  4. Got my kit from Rob the other day, it will be my first build. Jesse has been awesome passing me tips etc. I really hope mine turns out something like this, gotta say seriously worried I'll balls it up.
  5. I went back to the guy I brought mine from, he told me the one I purchased never had the arm whilst he had it (shame), but never mind.
  6. Cool thanks for the heads up on this, I like this approach more than having to go down the route of using an epoxy etc. Do you get any creep doing this though?
  7. Was the camera mount standard, with the screw? Was unsure if this was an accessory and as to why these are often not found. Unfortunately mine didn't come with the mount
  8. My Kobold arrived too. And this is how I got it: And I simply love the message I found inside...says it all
  9. Thats sweet what did you use to bond the grip?
  10. Thanks for all the feedback guys, I've now gone and started on a new set. I'm going to go for the rounded ends.
  11. Again slightly unrelated but I won this yesterday, hoping to make a nice diorama with my E-11, MR Helmet and what will be my canon saber. http://cgi.ebay.co.u...em=220834874625 I'd like to be able to display it like they someone was in the middle of changing, if that makes sense.
  12. I'd seen that first picture before but couldn't determine if they were rounded or trapezoid, the others though are great.
  13. I have just pretty much finished knocking up my first set of grips for my Graflex. I've made them a nice trapezoid shape using the measurements shown below (these were taken from a thread by GINO in the RPF, Page 9 http://www.therpf.co...510/index9.html) ANH Luke and ANH Vader: Grip length: 3 9/16" Angled ends: On top of center ridge, make a pencil mark 1/8" from end to designate where the angle should stop However, I was reading an extract from the book the Making of Star Wars Revenge of the Sith where the original sabers were requested from the Lucas archives, and the saber shown clearly has rounded edges: Does anyone have any other reference material that shows another version of the ANH saber with the trapezoid ends, or a take on this? Kind of in limbo as to whether to go down the route of starting again with these (before I attach them) or to go with what I have.
  14. I've done similar in anticipation of getting some armor. Brought myself a nice Underarmor top (the label is hidden by the neckseal), and some jogging bottoms. Perfect, almost like this stuff was tailor made
  15. I've no idea but have been thinking along the lines of getting some of these, to attach the cylinders I get (either from Russ when his next run gets going) or build as I think the guy who put together the Sterling Blaster blog used some on his build to attach the same. I guess like me its going to come down what it is exactly your wanting to use them for?
  16. The UK ones were different too, certainly the red set. I think the pictures on the cards are the same but in a jumbled order they're marked [number]A, as I think are the Blue set.
  17. Did any of you guys ever collect these, I've got all the sets but nothing quite like this. Check out this eBay auction. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1977-OPC-STAR-WARS-UNCUT-SHEETS-ALL-SERIES-w-STICKERS-/220799995965?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_2&hash=item3368b4903d#ht_500wt_1113
  18. Here is my Graflex, finally arrived: I'm now curious as to how anyone has previously attached the grip to one of these, using plastic and not rubber?
  19. Wicked spot. I love that picture and have never noticed that.
  20. Contact me if you need track, I currently have plenty.
