  1. The ANH Hero helmet used in ESB is found..(I hope). Note the left leg which seem to have a thigh piece put on backwards . The next is just a screen cap I'd like to include with this post. It shows x numbers of stormtroopers, can you find them all? I counted 10 stormtroopers: 2 on the ground, and 8 standing.
  2. Interesting discussion guys!! Can't wait to see the pictures!
  3. Sign me up for a copy, if you could sign it, I'd really appreciate that! I am really looking forward to this.
  4. I was really positive to the Rubies armor (NOT HELMET) after what I saw from pictures, BUT...when I saw the Rubies in person, I got to admit...it's not worth buying. The details are too soft, and the armor looks gigantic. It looks like they've customized it to fit a person with baggy clothes on them. Rubies= Not worth buying. I'm sure your local garrison can help you out with building and the practical side with armor assembly.
  5. http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=632...=Disney+trooper Check this thread. I believe these suits are what MFX is based on..and it's derived from an Oakley Fiberglass suit.
  6. They also had a ROTJ-jedi suit (probably tour suit) which one of the female hosts wore. It looked really good! I think it's most visible in the making of video.
  7. LOL, I always clean my armor after each troop! But I got some nasty scratch marks which is caused by the thighs and the cod/abdomen piece which does not go of no matter what I do. This is a bit off-topic, but how do people manage to keep their biceps armor so low? I've tried it before, but it restricts my arm movements to the point that my arm get's "locked" in an ackward position. The only arm oosition which I can do with having my biceps so low, is the normal blaster holding positing with two hands.
  8. Let's hope they'll incorporate more original trilogy material into this...
  9. from what I heard, the bump was added there by DL to replicate the bump on the original helmets..
  10. 1) Wake up, breakfast 2) Go to lecture on Marine Constructions (Finite elements basic course) 3) Rush home, pack my stuff, eat dinner 4) Catch the plane for the weekend's troop at a concention called "Desucon"...it's an anime, sci-fi, fantasy convention. ..now if you excuse me, I got a plane to catch
  11. Good point ObiHahn. I think the reason they added the drop boxes on the original costumes, was to cover up the black areas between the thighs and butt-piece. I've also noticed there being almost no gap between the belt and the drop boxes, and to achieve this can be rather problematic, because when the drop boxes touches the belt, it totally restricts further movement, which can make it harder to raise one's legs. My personal view on this is that the drop boxes should hang as much close to the belt as possible, and that it should be able to cover up the black area between the thighs and the butt. If the drop boxes is attached closer to the sides, one also avoids the drop boxes being restrictive to one's leg movements (for instance when one climbs stairs). I've attached the drop box straps with industrial velcro, which makes it possible for me to do adjustments easily.
  12. Wow..nice catch! I love this ESB/ROTJ discussion, it sure have opened up for some interesting theories.
  13. One picture I found via Flickr..a nice look of the orange peel-skin surface of the helmet:
  14. I've posted a reply over at the 501st forums requesting more pictures of the helmet, hang on.
  15. It actually seems possible to take pictures from the bottom, it seems to be made of glass also
  16. Check out this picture showing two of the many original props show cased for public during the "Out of this World Exhibit" from the Film and Television museum exhibit in California. Don't know if any of you guys have been there and seen it, but I found it quite interesting. I guess its because they rarely show case trooper helmets from ANH or ESB. The rest of the pictures can be found under the 501st forums, under Mission Reports.
  17. Another tip for you to get awesome high quality sw sound effects: If you have one of the Jedi Outcast games, you can easily locate the game music/sfx in the game folder. You might need to unrar these though.
  18. Interesting thread..and creds to Paul and Verne for all these new theories! And it's nice to see that mr.Mollo have been included in the discussion also! Btw, is it true that a "making of ESB" book is coming along too? Is it the same author who wrote "The Making of Star Wars" book?
  19. Sorry to hear! Sometimes I wish mother nature could've shown more mercy and spared people from these kind of disasters..
  20. Thanks for sharing all those exciting pictures! I wasn't even born when these were taken
  21. Woah..check the blood veins on her right cheek!
  22. Although the Disney armor doesn't look that screen accurate, I'd say it is far better looking than the Rubies. The helmet is not that bad..and it looks OK. It's actually reminds me of the FX.
