  1. "You are going to find that many of the truth's we cling to greatly depend on our own point of view"
  2. I love screen accuracy but some things are just not practical. Painted handguards are fantastic looking as they are what was used in the movie. However, as our suits are going to be used more than the movie suits I doubt that they will have much paint left on them after a while so will look less screen accurate. Therefore the latex look handguards are better for trooping. Same goes with the painted helmets. The paint will never stick very well to the original green khaki plasic so after a while the lid is going to look horrible. I think SA is the way to go, epecially as Mathias pointed out when it costs no more and is no more difficult but just takes better reasearch but some things can't be exactly as seen on screen as they wouldn't hold up to what we use our armour for. I love stormtroopers!
  3. They are great little speakers with a good sound for their size. I want to try a little experiment. If it works it should be pretty cool.
  4. Come on guys, lets not turn the OP's thread into this. Lets try and keep it constructive.
  5. Thanks Vern. It was just an idea that I was thinking of trying to use. Cheers buddy.
  6. I know this is probably a very stupid question but I know nothing about this type of thing. Could I use the mic that comes with the Aker with one of these speakers? ------------ Many thanks for any advice.
  7. Karin, I have some spare mesh you can have. You only have to ask
  8. Excellent submission and pictures Carlos. Great looking blaster build. Good luck
  9. Congratulations and welcome to the ranks trooper
  10. I can't really say. Being busy doesn't sound like much fun so I've never tried it.
  11. I didn't want to say that you did it for me in case you started getting PM's from people asking you to do thiers. You just told me how busy you are. Original post edited.
  12. Thanks for all your hard work keeping things running for us Eric
  13. That suck's. Oh well, we never hit anything with them anyway. Great pics!
  14. I would say that the vocorder looks very good. By bsac15 at 2012-08-12 Like Sven says, you do need the rivets in the ammo pack. Great job Isaac and a great submission.
  15. For me, Prop replica for collecting, slightly more idealized for trooping. There has to be a line between how the armour looked in the movie and what the public expect to see. Most of the sloppiness we see on screen can only be noticed with todays higher quality ways of viewing. Back in the days of VHS things like tape were not noticed. I love all the wonkiness and scuff marks but I not a fan of the poor construction mistakes. Just my opinion.

  17. James, you put the wrong TK number in the tital of the thread. I have changed it for you.
  18. Good to see newer members willing to chip in. Well done guys
  19. I'm not too sure. As the originals were hand painted they were a bit all over the place and not very uniform. We will just have to see what Mathias thinks
