    TM is fantastic. But if it would strictly only be for screen derived suits then this would mean that TM would not be allowed and when you consider how good TM looks that just sounds like a bit of a problem. It would have to be for screen derived or not. For something that strict, you can't really have exceptions can you?

    As Alex is in the US I thought the heat might be more of an issue than it is here in the UK. Also, just because I haven't trooped with teh UKG doesn't mean I've never trooped at all so my opinion is quite objective thanks And I never said he would get hot. I said he could get hot. Just trying to help the guy out with my opinion.

    Hi Alex, You don't have to have the mesh as the screen used helmets didn't have it but it does a good job of stopping people seeing your face. If you decide not to fit it you can wear a black balaclava but then you can get hot. It may not be screen accurate but I personally prefer the mesh.

    I'd use Testors or Humbrol. You can also just spray a bit of spray paint into the the cap and brush that on if you do a couple of coats. I would think that nail varnish might chip easily.

    Another vote here for volume at 50% and the mic touching your lips. It makes a vast difference. I also replaced my mic and it made an improvement to the quality of sound. The mic I have also has a small on/off switch on the ear piece so it's handy to be able to suit up and turn the mic on just before you put on your bucket.

    Hi Matt, Looking good. Just a couple of suggestions. You could do with having the shoulder armour fixed closer the shoulder bridges and maybe tighten the strap that goes from your crotch to the butt plate flap so yo don't get so much of the butt plate tail look. Cute dog by the way

    If you use the search you will find the answers to all your questions plus much, much more To get you started on your first question, I use the score and snap method so didn't really have a need for straight cutting scissors but I believe some people prefer to use them for trimming.

    If you have no luck by morning I'll make a snap plate and take pics for you. Do you mean the method with the little punch that you get with the kit that you hit with a hammer?
