  1. Hi Brian. For EI, I think you will be fine http://www.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TK_anh_stunt but not for centurion.
  2. Marigold washing up gloves first came out in 1950. Not sure about the chemical gloves though.
  3. Nice build Bill. Do you have any more action shots that are a little more in focus?
  4. I screwed mine around the center of the counter and let the screws cut their own thread. I also put just a tiny amount of super glue on the thread just to be safe.
  5. If it's just for display and not for trooping you could also use double sided foam tape.
  6. The real difference is, cosplayers pretend to be the characters that they love but we ARE stormtroopers. Real ones
  7. I also think of the armour as more than just a costume but as a replica also.
  8. That is great news. Love the artwork too. Well done Si and Rob
  9. :dancing-trooper: CONGRATULATIONS TERRELL :dancing-trooper: (SuperTrooper) AND THANK YOU For everything you do for the FISD! Here is to the next 5000 posts!
  10. Hi Brandon, I believe you can get hero style ears from ATA but I'm not sure if you can get them on their own or only if you are buying a helmet kit. The damaged helmet is pretty beat up and will take quite a bit of filling and then painting to get it looking nice. Painting it will also mean removing all the decals and trim. Another option would be to sell the MR lid and buy a new helmet kit from one of the sellers here.
  11. You also need to paint the ear screws and paint a thin black line around the grey ear piece. As others have said, you should trim the ears down a bit and try to re-do the black outlines on the tears and traps as they are very thick
  12. Sorry Vern. I wasn't implying that yours were budget holsters. I just like to point members in the direction of trusted sellers that make quality goods.
  13. Oooo I like that idea. Reminds me of when you got the toy Star Wars ships as a kid and you could choose to put on the clean decals or the battle damaged ones
  14. How about Vern? http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=11577
  15. There are these http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=19041 or I have seen people use brass paper fasteners or the back of a Chicago screw.
  16. Like Rich said, if you let the weathering happen naturaly then odds are you will end up with it in the same places as the troopers in the movie. They were not intended to be weathered, it was just from them being worn. Although I do seem to remember Mathias doing a nifty job of adding weathering to his build for that used look.
  17. Duct tape? Should be strong enough to hold it together while you do a test fit.
  18. Congratulations Rick. It's a good feeling isn't it
  19. It is the opinion of the entire staff that Dexter is criminally insane.

  20. No problem Carlos. I just spent ages finding the thread on the RPF (because he spelt reticle differently) and I'm sorry to say that he is messing people around so I wouldn't order one from him http://www.therpf.com/f13/star-wars-blaster-scope-reticules-lighted-version-135406/
  21. I used these on a resin scope and they worked well too http://www.thefind.com/crafts/info-clear-circle-stickers
  22. What an absolutely beautiful build. There is a guy on the RPF doing a run of retcles at the moment. Lot's of different colours and designs. He even does a light up one. I don't know how they work but they are really thin and look pretty good.
  23. There are members here that know more than me about all the different makes and I'm sure they will post soon. Give the getting started area a good read http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showforum=38 There are also loads of threads about helmet building that will help you in every aspect of a build. Fully built helmets also come up for sale here if that is the route you would prefer to go but building your own is not as hard as you might think. Especially with all the help available from all the great members here
