  1. the details are easier to pin when getting ones hands dirty
  2. after some thought i made the TKC thermal detonator to match the game model just to see how it would look. i remember originally it was to be painted all white, but IMHO that would look pretty plain and really wouldn't match the game model. this is what i did (it has a bit more depth than painted on details) game model what do you guys think? it is looking like this style will be on the centurion level as it is a bit more difficult to make. the center detail is made from 3" PVC drain pipe formed over the 2" PVC
  3. if you plan on making a folding stock i would recommend reinforcing the main receiver tube with a metal tube. the SR props is more durable plastic then cast resin but it is still on the brittle side. also if you decide against a folding stock you should still reinforce the main tube (i used a ABS plastic tube) this will prevent warping from heat over time here is the way i built my SR-props------------
  4. this link works fine for accessing the reception center http://www.whitearmor.net/home/crl-overview.html'>http://www.whitearmor.net/home/crl-overview.html but if you use the main page link it gets stuck in a redirect loop broken link http://www.whitearmor.net/home/ all the tutorials and costume requirements are still accessible it is only the home/about page that is down
  5. be sure to consider going EIB and Centurion we greatly need more ROTJ troopers in the ranks! ill be watching this build closely
  6. very nice, and i love the armor! its really great to see so many ESB centurions Approved, salute to yet another a fantastic build
  7. yes lol sorry for the confusion. that is an ANH detail.
  8. the knee looks perfect! but the elastic should not be visible on the shoulder
  9. very nice as i said for your EIB submission. there are only a few things that need to be changed. The thigh ammo belt shall be connected by brads/split rivets only – but not by standard rivets. a quick fix would be to fill the small hole in the rivet with JB weld or a putty and paint it white to match also the shoulder straps should not free float in the back as seen in ANH These shall be affixed in the back (no snaps, rivets or brads shall be visible). Straps shall not have a white elastic band securing the shoulder straps to either the chest/back. i would suggest either Velcro or earth magnets to affix the shoulder straps in the back. other than the 2 small fixes you could remove or hide the black strap that holds the bicep. its not a requirement but it was primarily a ANH specific detail. almost there! and it looks fantastic!
  10. you know you do not need a weapon to be 501st approved but to me it looks funny to see a trooper unarmed
  11. ask at a music store, they are used commonly for electric guitar pickup electronics if not the there really cheap on the bay -----------
  12. very nice ANH to ESB conversion! approved, and congrats on your second award!
  13. very nice work and excellent attention to detail Tom! approved, now get out there and stir up some fun trooper!
  14. while the SR props is a fine kit and IMHO is far superior to the doopydoos pipe kit in many ways (its a shame it is no longer made) a PVC pipe blaster has a lot more room inside the main receiver to fit goodies. the real trick with the pipe blaster is drilling out a slot for the trigger/switch in the resin handle ( i use a rotozip bit on a dremel) ill have to document my next build, now that i have the process refined
  15. the first gun looks similar to a Z6 rotary blaster used by clones http://starwars.wiki..._blaster_cannon its really not a stormtrooper weapon. the second is a DLT-19 and there is a lot of info here if you look around through the blaster builds and discussions also the advanced section here http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=14837
  16. welcome aboard Lucas!!!
