  4. Doing a rebels TK implies a rebels style armour too. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  5. Easy fix with some epoxy on the inside or whatever you want. But you might want to remove some of that agressive return around your throat as that's not really needed and will only keep cracking as long as you have that much of it. More return = more cracks.
  6. Yeah, about the only thing E-6000 doesn't bond well with is that rubber.
  7. That depends on what kind you're using. Back when I still used plastic hand guards, I glued (using E-6000) two loops of elastic inside them. The rear one goes around your wrist, and the front one around your palm. That keeps it in the right position, is reliable and non-intrusive. When you have rubber hand guards and rubber gloves, you just glue them on to the glove.
  8. There is indeed a huge difference between "good" and "bad" helmet and even between "good" and "good". Here's my RS helmet in PP plastic, built and painted by the talented R2Dan. More pics: https://imgur.com/a/XN7Ca#j3Zhgzt
  9. Get lexan scissors. They are the best, hands down.
  10. That's what I'm thinking too!
  11. Last time we saw him, he had recast RS and tried to sell the moulds to an unsuspecting 3rd party.
  12. I don't think the pictures from SDCC so far are good enough to rule either way.
  13. Not sarcasm. Honest question. I've seen enough on this forum to hold off judgment until better pictures arrive, regarding the origins of the suits. And I think you all should too.
  14. Are you familiar with the fact that shapes sometimes distort when you recast? Especially if you do it in a hurry.
  15. Calves, forearms and helmet would be a good start.
  16. http://www.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TX_shadow_stormtrooper It's just not part of FISD.
  17. I think "hostile" is the wrong word. But any company looking to make armour better understand that the community will no longer accept sub-par products like those of the 90's and 00's. They will be judged by their quality and if they can't meet expectations, they will hear about it.

  20. And with how that "prototype" helmet looks like in their pictures, I wouldn't get one even if it was $10. It looks softer than an ice-cream cone in July. Basically just a waste of space in my house. A great picture to illustrate my point: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0346/5761/products/sw-imp-trooper-34.jpg
  21. Make them as tight as you can, while still keeping them comfortable.
  22. How about introducing yourself before asking favours?
  23. Meh. Rivet placements were a bit all over the place. If you look at the pictures I posted in that thread you see they didn't even use the same rivets all the time. If we're going to nit-pick problems with the applicant's suit, the side rivets are at the bottom of the list of things I could mention. But I'm not going to, because It fits all the requirements for centurion. It's clearly not supposed to be a prop-replica, but more of an accurate looking trooping suit. What you're doing is not helping anybody. It's only lowering peoples self-esteem.
  24. Yes, it's fan made. Last time I heard, it was a re-skinned MMORPG of some kind.
  25. Since they have the armour they are working on, I think this stand-alone helmet from earlier is off the table.
