  1. It doesn't have to be perfect. The cover strip will hide it anyway.
  2. Master replicas, no they are not. But we have other makers who still are and would gladly sell you a kit.
  3. We do not support recasting on this forum. Besides that, you can get an accurate kit to build for $150 US. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  4. Should be pretty easy with scissors. Tried marking a cut line with a pencil. Might help guiding you while cutting. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  5. What are you using to do the trimming with? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  6. If you're talking about the armour itself it's not so important as it gets covered by the cover strips. But a steel ruler is always helpful when making straight cuts.
  7. "Best" and "affordable" are terms that don't mix. But either of those two are fine E-11's. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  8. You can take a little bit more off of the forearms. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  9. Just the right front has a snap. The left side is glued in both ends.
  10. Yeah that is the cut line. Yes they will be a little small but that's how TE lineage shoulders are like. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  11. The rumor about the canvas is from the times before we knew it was elastics. We knew it was some sort of fabric, and the weathering and dirt made it look like an off white canvas. Here's a picture of the right side elastic on the inside of the RS original back plate. More pictures here: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/gallery/album/59-the-rs-suit/

  13. Only if you wear a rebels armour which looks very different from the movie armour. Like I've said already in that other recent thread on the same topic. You should go read it.
  14. They were never canvas. Not on the sandtroopers either. They were 45 mm white elastics. The left side was glued in on both sides (back and chest). The right side was only glued in the back and attached to the chest with a single snap.

  16. If you are doing a replica and want absolute accuracy you go with the brackets. If not, then you go with the snaps. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  17. Best result is usually gotten by having two slimmer shims on either side instead of one "bridging the gap". In that case, they would be sttached to both the ab and kidney respectively. The rivet gun "pop rivets" are not what you want if you're going for the higher tiers of accuracy. Instead, look for bifurcated rivets, aka split rivets.
  18. Ask Steve to fix it. He probably just forgot about it.

  22. Price, quality and honesty. Also, the battle spec helmet looks really weird.

  25. No, that's just an FX armour with fancy marketing.
