  1. Fixed the right biceps piece today, it's clamped down for the night. I took this comparison picture before I cut the right one open. Check out the huge difference in size! I'm really glad I did this mod. Also, here's some pictures of me from the Scifi-fair in Stockholm 2 months ago. The last picture is part of a group image of Nordic Garrison and our rebels together with Joe Flanigan from Stargate Atlantis.
  2. Thanks Stephen! Yeah the tailored look is really what anyone should want. And one should never stop fiddling around with ones kit until it is "perfect" right?
  3. Today I got some more E-6000 in the mail (you can't buy it in stores here, AFAIK). I had run out, can you believe it!? I wanted to get my biceps pieces smaller as they were far to big for skinny me. I still have left to get the inner joining strips glued in, but that's something for another day. I also removed the small return edge around the wrist on my forearm pieces, but didn't bother with pictures of that. Hardly anything exciting about that. All in all, I think I removed about 2 inches from it. 1 inch on either side. I've only done my left bicep so far, but I'll probably do the right one tomorrow or at least this week. Here's the pictures anyways! Before I'm gonna remove this much! Here it's held up by tape, and shows IMO how well Troopermasters pieces line up with each other even when you trim them outside "standard size". And here's it just gotten clamped down and some rare earth magnets (scavenged from old SCSI hard drives) added to the centre to keep the pressure on there as well. Cheers!
  4. Did he sign up at Bikerscout.net ? I'm pretty sure they can help him.
  5. Score and snap works just fine with ABS. But you can do some real neat things with a pair of lexan curved scissors that you can't (or would be harder) with score and snap. Like make nice curves.
  6. The computer geek in me is screaming "why is that a jpeg!?" The file format is not meant for images with so little colour in them. PNG or GIF would give less artifacts. Sorry for the derailing btw.
  7. Ja, det gƃĀ¶r jag!

  8. I hope this doesn't reflect the general level of education on your side of the pond. By that I mean a non college student level.
  9. Have a look at this link: http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=13954&view=findpost&p=168854
  10. I love in helmet speakers too! Although mine are in the hovis. But your mod is really cool. More people should look into it. Maybe if I get a cheaper helmet to "play with" I should give it a try. No worries mate! Credit should go to Mark who made the hovis and took the picture.
  11. I'm kindly borrowing a picture of Marks (sskunky) hovis he makes. The nipple would be second from the left, which sits inside the hovi when assembled.
  12. I should also add that I think your hovis look great and you should keep up the production! Those who want to go the extra mile have others to buy their hovis from.
  13. As a budget alternative, I guess it's WYSIWYG. But surely it would be nice with a nipple. But the extra work casting that could possibly break the "budget"-side of it. I believe it would be healthy for the community as a whole to have good quality items in a range of price levels (but I do not want to advocate inaccuracy), where everyone can find whichever level of accuracy they desire.
  14. Wow, 10 000 is an amazing post count, and with such quality too. Thanks for everything, Paul!
  15. It's the method used on ANH armour with butt-joined pieces and the seam covered with a strip of plastic. Like you said you wanted to use. The only other method is overlaping pieces, which AP armour is supposed to be assembled with, due to it's ROTJ heritage.
  16. Most armour from ESB was recycled ANH armour so it's okay touse the cover-strip method. Also, I see no problem with painting your armour if that's what you want to do.
  17. I believe that lid is owned by a swedish collector, who has a thumbnail of that image (the larger image-link is broken) on this page, and the following info about it:
  18. Well it is for industrial use But I've never seen one that big before either. My small 29 ml (that's 1 fl oz for you imperials ) pales in comparison with the 110 ml tubes.
