  1. If I recall correctly only the sandtrooper on the beast (forgot their name atm) was CG, the others were re-created real suits cast from ROTJ suits; Check out this scene: -------
  2. You can also have look at the "pipe blasters", they are more accurate than the hasbros.
  3. The good thing about E-6000 is that you can take your pieces a part without too much trouble if you want to redo them. With cement it's sooo much harder if they are properly bonded. Almost impossible, in fact.
  4. I would love to see a death trooper bucket
  5. I too saw it before on the RPF. And my god, screen accuracy aside, this might be the most beautiful E11 I've ever seen.
  6. It's either broken and they don't care, or it's to allow their microphones to pick up what he's actually saying and not just a mumble. I guess.
  7. Yeah they look like that, just not as good as yours EDIT: Oh, you mean cut the corners of the joing strips. Yeah, most of them have cut corners, just not these two. They had cut corners before. I might fix that soon. All the other strips have cut corners.
  8. You could to both. Add a piece of wood as the receiver, and attach the cocking handle to that, and add the spring behind it.
  9. I don't have an ebay account, but I like your idea. Keep it up!
  10. Thank you! I just had a second look, and it might need a second coat on the right knee, but the left one, which is really the only one visible when worn properly looks great. I'm really pleased with the results.
  11. So here's the results! After sanding. Applied some Humbrol satin white (#130) which I think matches the tone of the ABS fairly well. Any leftover imperfections will be referred to as "battle damage"
  12. Awesome tutorial mate! Nice seeing some of your workshop and the moulds in the background, btw
  13. Very nice and clear demonstration Tom!
  14. Hello Jerry! Both are accepted for 501st membership. And yes, out of the box I think the efx/mrce looks better. Both however require mods if you really want it to shine. I'm not even sure the FX-helmet can ever look truly great. The FX is not accepted for EIB applications, while the efx/mrce is, with the mods. If you're looking for a really good and cheap helmet, I would look for CAP-W or ATA instead, as these are screen accurate. You would however need to put it together yourself. But that applies to the FX-helmet as well.
  15. Looks like you might want to trim trim some more on that knee plate. But other than that it looks pretty good, apart from what was mentioned above about the sandpaper.
  16. Okey, so the other day I made some ABS-Paste from some scraps I saved that I put in a glass jar with some acetone. The reason for this was to fix something that annoyed me since the day I put the thighs together. *Note: I have only myself to blame for this. I was sloppy when I trimmed the thighs. That's why I had to cover that up with the joining strip. The purpose of this post is to show that you don't always have to live with the mistakes you do. This: So with a little score-and-snap I had this Then I applied the ABS-paste with a disposable spoon. It was a bit tricky but I will sand it down when hardened. And here's the tools.
  17. it's not that hard. You just need a ruler, preferably one in metal, a pair of good scissors or a sharp knife and some E-6000. And some guts. No guts, no glory
