  1. The newest award winner! See this thread: http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=8568&hl= Great job!
  2. Great troop guys! Tom, wow...fun effects! The first one is great!!!
  3. Congrats Paul!
  4. You may be the only member in Austria, but you're certainly not alone.
  5. "MOM! That weird guy with the wagon wheel in the yard is at it again!" "Just ignore him, son" lol Looks great, Jason.
  6. I own a pair of Caboots and just received my TK Boots. There is NO comparison. If you're looking for boots for trooping, go with the TK. I heard they run a little narrow so I ordered one size up (I have a wide foot..well, both of them really) so I went from a 10 to 11. They fit perfect! No smell like CaBoots, great looking and look like they are constructed very well. I'm not a paid spokesman, just a fan.
  7. Tough gig when the site has too much $$$$. I was denied after trying to donate the same day the donation page was taken down, but that's because I heard with a donation you actually get the answer to everything (42). Great group of supporters for sure!
  8. It would be fun to see Billy's and Brian's very first posts, just for a giggle. Congrats guys!
  9. Oh...I thought it said "heavy trooper". I was going to throw my name in...never mind.
  10. First off, before Panda says it, reverse the overlap on both calfs (kind of a weird pet peeve of Panda's). That way the overlap can't be seen by people standing on the near side. Second, couldn't he try a heat gun to curve those attachment points a little bit?
  11. Hard to tell, but looking at those screen shots, I see the heel is definitely white, so it follows that the entire sole is white too. The shadow of the floor is black, perhaps that is what you are seeing. As far as the Doc Martens; I have to agree with others that they look "clunky". Also, there is the extra seam on the side that isn't on the TK's or Caboots. That being said...I suppose it would depend on your garrison, but what's to stop you from trooping in them? Buy a pair of TK's for approval, but if you really, really like the durability and comfort of the DM's ask if you can use them for trooping.
  12. Personally, I like the lower brow. Others like it higher. I think it's up to you but, WAY TO GO!!!!
  13. Update: I reported the latest auction to ebay for violating terms. I also reported him for manipulating feedback. And, I did write to [email protected] to let those guys know. As of this morning the latest sale has been removed! The feedback has been restored and the fake reports removed! Andrew wrote to thank me, but by the time he received the mail the item had already been removed from the sale. I think this guy is probably done for a while. Thanks everyone for all of your help! I can't tell you how satisfying it is to know some poor schmuck won't be taken in by this scam. Hopefully, people interested in Stromtrooper armor will find their way to the FISD instead of spending big money to be directed to the SDS website.
  14. Yeah, I reported the seller for feedback manipulation as well....lol
  15. It looks like there is a TK number on the shoulder bell. Can anyone read it?
  16. He's at it again! Wow, this guy has large coconuts! http://cgi.ebay.com/Storm-Trooper-Costume-...d#ht_843wt_1129 I'm going to use the Report Now button. (Notice, he changed the photo since I contacted him...anyone know who this is?) Looks like he created a new profile to leave himself good feedback. http://myworld.ebay.com/starwarsprops2010 This account was created a few days before he left good feedback for http://myworld.ebay.com/sandtroopertd999/
  17. It seems to me that people are forgetting that EIB is optional for those who wish to make their armor as close to screen accurate as possible (or the best looking, best of the best). It is not a requirement. If that is not your goal, no big deal, you are still in the 501st, still a FISD member. IF you want to go above and beyond the norm, then go with that goal and make the mods needed. Just my two cents.
  18. WOW! Add to that the fact that the listing wasn't in the correct format and he WAS violating ebay's terms. I received something to the effect of "Thanks, but the listing has ended, please report it earlier next time."; or something like that. So, thanks for all the help troopers! I'll keep an eye out for a while on what this guy is "selling." If it pops up again we can hammer him hard.
  19. Not "everyone" was saying that. 5 turnovers
  20. Update: I’m not sure what Clone 187 (Dave)is talking about; I’ve been watching this guy and he has not yet relisted his “service”. He HAS requested that I change my negative feedback (which I refused to do). Prior to taking extreme measures, I tried to email this seller several times and didn’t receive anything back. I would like to say again; Troopers, this probably is not the way to go…I would NOT recommend for anyone else to take this small act of civil disobedience in their own hands. I think his listing is B.S, others think the same. However, if he tries it again…there are ways that we as a group can deal with it. Please see this thread: http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=9673&hl= For now, I’m going to sit back and watch. He has been reported by a few people (not as many as I had hoped), but we’ll see what happens.
  21. Sully? From Monster's Inc.? RPF= Replica Prop Forum (All thing...if it has a prop, someone is recreating it) TDH= The Dented Helmet (all things Fett)
  22. You know, I have been meaning to post something on this...good topic Paul. I belong (of course) to my local garrison, 501stsithlords, the RPF and several other boards. NONE (except RPF which covers many, many topics) has the activity that this board has. Avatar...flash in the pan. Lets see how many post that board is getting 30 years after the release of the film (2039??? ugh!). This board has the best, most articulate and helpful members of any group to which I belong. Though, reading some of the earlier posts, there used to be quite a few fireworks around here (fun reads too!), those have for the most part gone away. The only time I see anyone doing something that I would call "disrespectful", it is generally someone brand new to the board and they don't stick around long. Even when a WIP looks like absolute hell, the members try gently to guide the person on the right track. My bucket is off to everyone! I'm pretty damn proud to be part of this TK brotherhood (and sisters too!) We now return you to your regularly scheduled program...
  23. Smitty? You talk to yourself in third person? Hmmmm....
  24. Troops is one of my favorites for sure! I can't help but watch it and laugh, it is so true to form with COPS. Nice post!
