Woo HOO! Congrats! How many are left now? -
Hi Chris, Welcome to the FISD. To answer your question, you might want to read this:---------- Then, take a few minutes and go to the New Member Introductions and tell us a little about you. Have fun searching around the forum and you will most likely find what you seek. Vic

TK 8315 requesting EIB for ANH Stunt.[89][VT]

Do you have a strap connecting the cod to the butt? I don't know if it's required, but in the back photo, the butt looks a little strange. Otherwise, looks great to me! Vic -
Great photo! I might have to print that out to put with my copy of the book. Can't wait for my copy. Vic

Obviously, I think the FISD is the cats meow since I log on several times a day (nice to have that type of job). My only suggestion, and perhaps it's not possible, but on the main page of the forums, I would like to see when a post is originated along with the date of the last reply. I know, I can open it up to see when the thread was started, but it would just be "nice" to see it before opening the thread. I think a lot of older (dead) threads wouldn't be resurrected if that were the case. We've all seen people respond to a thread that has been sitting dormant for a year. But, perhaps that's a good thing. Just my two cents. Vic

I’m glad the Panda has gotten the reward that he so richly deserves. In the same vein, (in my opinion) there is a trooper who: is in the field spreading the FISD beliefs; who posts insightful topics and raises the level of current (ongoing) posts. He is informative, funny, supportive, and thought provoking. He is what I believe a service award winner should be. Enough build up; I nominate Bluehickey (TK3034).

Ok fast reply here. Lets read the legal opinion before passing judgment. All too often newspaper articles hit the highlights of a decision without understanding the intricacies of the law as it has been applied. I read opinions for a living, and this article leaves a lot of questions in the air. Vic

TK-9098-darthfoster requesting EIB.[91][RT]

Great looking armor there Adam! Best of luck with EIB. -
In fact, going off of what Panda said; perhaps you could just cut off the part of the end cap that contains the "d" ring and apply that section with glue (and maybe a little bondo). Just a thought. Vic

I'm assuming i need to completly cut off the end of the blaster with a dremmel, then glue this back piece on? or do i glue it onto the back as it is? The back cap has to come off leaving the overall length in tact. If you cut off the existing back cap, there is not enough room to slide the new one on with the molded pieces on the end…look at the photo, you’ll see what I mean. i don't know what glue to use. Hmmmm….check with your garrison or hopefully someone else can answer this one. As for the t-tracks, is the adhesive strip on the back enough to stick it down? Should be good to go, stick it on and give it a tug (make sure it's clean first). If not, use glue. is this the right way to have the nozzel facing. with the middle circle pointing to the right like a pac man face? Yupper! any ideas on how i can make my folding stock NOT useable? Yup, take it off and sell it to me! I’d be happy to get you a non-functional doopydoos. It’s metal right? Try magnets. I'd hate for you to permanently modify it, perhaps if you sell it one day the next person would want the stock working. i'm looking forward to cutting the hasbro henglser counter off with my dremmel very soon! This is a pretty serious modification, I would think twice about this one, were I you. It can turn out pretty poorly if you don’t have the skills to make it perfect. Vic

And, don't forget to go to New Member Introductions and tell us a little about you. Welcome aboard. Vic

Yeah! Him and Pandatrooper both!
-
Brian, I emailed, but if you could update the first post with how you would prefer to receive payment, that would be great! Vic Edit: Ok...my bad I didn't see to pay pay [email protected].

I would look for at the build by Sgt. JB (TK3914) or Gunners 'N" Roses (TL7795), both have built ATA and have EIB status. In fact, I AM looking at those two, I received my ATA a week ago and am very happy with it.

I think it looks great and I admire what your plans are; showing kids nothing is off limits. My only question, do the AmpTroopers have closed sides? I only ask because I don't know. Keep up the great work? Vic

Want to do something fun? Replace the “showtopic” number up in the address bar with a random number and see what comes up. I wanted to see the beginning of the forum, so I checked out the very early numbers. New guys, don’t feel bad to ask questions, even our esteemed Daetrin (Paul, Admin Staff) didn’t know much in the beginning. (No offense Paul!!!) http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=10 Vic

TK-2618 requesting EIB ESB status.[92][FX]
vicsouders replied to Debater2nd's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
Hi Daniel, It certainly looks like you’re headed in the right direction with your build. You’re obviously putting a lot of work into it. If I could offer a suggestion; as EIB is supposed to be the most “accurate” (best of the best) armor, it looks like the back of your thighs could use a bit of attention. I could be wrong, but it looks like there might be some glue seepage and it almost looks like the trim was cut off of the bottom to accommodate range of motion(?), also, I not sure, but I’m not seeing any strips in the back of the thighs covering the overlap seam. Just a few things to think about. Congrats on getting this far! Just a bit more to do and I’m sure you’ll be 5x5. Vic -
I can't speak to that item, however one of our brother troopers, Benard, (TK8280) has 25 pages of positive feedback on the holster he produces. And, it costs less! Check out this thread then throw him a PM Vic Edit: You can do a search for "holster" and the results will show several brothers making those.

Expecting 12 inches of snow in SE MN today/tomorrow. Should have seen the disappointment on my wifes face the last time she was expecting 12 inches. Now, on to Julie and that "unusual" kitty.

Perhaps due to my career I read things too literally. Say what you mean, and mean what you say. If the posting read "These boots have been approved for use by the US Army and are also worn by the Green Beret's", I would take it the same way. I'm not saying anyone is wrong for interpreting the statement in any other way, it is simply how I read it. Troop on!

I just checked his listings, he has a full set of armor listed that does use Panda's photos. He also has just a helmet listed here: Helmet It does say "These helmets have been approved for 501st use and are also worn by FISD Expert Infantry." The implication is that FISD EIB wears only VT helmets. Worrisome. Vic

I thought I had responded to this thread but I guess not. Brian, what a wonderful thing you are doing. I would love to have a signed copy. Vic

Good choice, I have the amp and wireless and love them! Plus, if you have animals you can really confuse the heck out of them by being in one room and "calling them" from another
