Length of 02 canister?
RogueTrooper replied to Darth Voorhees's topic in Assembly, Mods, and Painting
Also The original screen used TK thermal detonators pipes were 68mm in diameter, or 2 11/16" in diameter. But, most of the fan made thermal detonators are made to fit a 2" in diameter pipe. -
From what I can see, it looks to me that you have the Kidney plate upside down. As for trimming, do a test fitting with your undersuit on. Any other garment may make it not fit properly. Just do like you have been doing, using the blue masking tape to hold it together temporarily. If you can, get someone to mark the sides if you need to trim them down. It helps to have someone who can see the area clearly and mark it for you. If you can't get someone to mark it, just mark it the best way and add a little bit to the line that you mark and give yourself some room for error. The old saying is you can always trim off more, but it is not so easy to put it back. Hope this help, if you have questions if post.

Length of 02 canister?

With the caps on each end of the pipe, the 02 canister/thermal detonator is around 7 1/2 inches or 191mm long. -

Hey All, Here are the details about the ICN belt. With the ICN, it has been pretty much standard practice that the suits would be ROTJ from the neck down, with an ANH Stunt lid. Then you would do the paint scheme details and add ons that make the TKC unique,eg. Flamethrower, lightsaber, Pauldron, etc. After doing some research, I brought up the fact that the suit doesn't appear to be totally ROTJ, but has elements from ROTJ and ANH/ESB armor. My analogy is that when the game designer/programmer started to design these characters, they needed something to work off of other than just flat pix, since the character is visible at 360 degrees in the game. Instead of them just trying to design most of the parts from sketches or pictures, they contacted someone in Lucas archives and had them take pix of each individual part, or possibly made a 3-D scan of the actual individual piece of armor. Either the designer didn't realize that certain parts went with certain suits or they thought it would be cool to mix and match to make a unique character. This is possibly why you see elements of ROTJ and ANH/ESB in the ICN.

I wish I could help you with the helmets, but I don't have a buddy in customs. How long have they been in customs? Did they come by the postal service or by a courier like Fedex or UPS? Believe it not the speed of which it goes through customs depends on the style of shipping you do now. Some companies are twisting your arm to get you to "expedite" your shipment. There is a big upcharge, but they take care of all the paperwork and somehow it gets through customs faster that way. If you did the standard or maybe even bare minimum style of shipping, it throws the package on the back burner, and it could be in customs for a while. I had the same problem with a Pioneer Elite Laser Disc HLD-X9 Player coming from Japan. It only took it a very short time for it to get to the USA, but it sat in customs for weeks and they gave me the same run a round. I know this doesn't help matters but at least you know that this is not uncommon and happens to others. After 9/11 things have gotten tighter with customs, as well. Worst case scenario there are three customes agents running around with TK helmets on. I kid!

Say hello to my little friend!
RogueTrooper replied to ctankep's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Absolutely nothing wrong with the E-6000. It is a very good product and holds very well. No, the bayonet bracket should not get any real stress to it unless it gets set down improperly, grabbed by someone, or possibly it gets snagged on something like when it is coming out of the holster. The two part epoxy mixture is closer to the material that the blaster is made of and makes and extremely strong bond. Since Varg paid £150.00 plus S&H for the blaster and I am sure that he doesn't want to possibly lose that piece on a troop, that is why I suggested the JB Weld. Some may say overkill, I call it extra insurance. -

Congratz Varg!! I am glad to see that you recieved your SDS E11... Also your daughter.. I mean the "alien life form" is precious and before long you will have two precious girls!! Sorry to see that the bayonet bracket broke off. Have you contacted SDS about it, since it is new and came out of the shipping box from SDS that way. You could put in for a claim with the shipping service. There should be something that can be done about the E11 being replaced since it is new. You have a short window to make a claim, if you want to get a replacement. If it was me and I paid for a new (undamaged) prop, I would take the opportunity to try to get a replacement. Just let SDS know that it came out of the box that way, and see what they say about replacing it. Just my two cents.. If you are going to keep it and fix the bayonet bracket, I would use JB Weld. JB Weld two part epoxy bonds, fills and repairs aluminum, brass, bronze, ceramic, copper, iron, pewter, plastic, porcelain, steel and wood. * For automotive, industrial, households, hobbies. You can find it at your local Hardware/Home Improvement store, or on the internet. -
Just make sure he gets the proper training with it and all will be fine... Just look at what happens when you give a kid a lightsaber without telling him the do's and do not's... This video is the real reason why Uncle Owen did not want Ben to give Luke his fathers Lightsaber...
