  1. Thanks Laurent, I did my best. There were some long grueling nights, though. There was nothing to go on for the gun. The Clone CRL doesn't have any info/requirements for the DC-15A and DC-15S Blasters, which are the same weapons that the Sky Trooper's use. Also, there was nothing for the Z-6 jetpack, which the Z-7I is based on. I did a lot of research to come up with the best info for the requirements. Basically breaking new ground, and that is what I love. Tom
  2. Both the TKC and INC have Lightsabers, plus the original concept of the stormtrooper that Ralph Mcquarrie did back in 1975/76, the TK's had Lightsabers or at the time, they were called laser swords....... see pix:
  3. Patrick, brother I will see that you get your EIB.
  4. Thanks Tiffanie! Also, there is only one way for me to relinquish my E11....
  5. Thanks Joe, I did a lot of modding to the AM. Maybe for my next suit I'll hold out for one of Simans or one of CFO's...but I need to get into the gym and get a little bit more off the belly.. I love me some deep dish pizza.. homer drool....
  6. Thanks Dan! Yeah the E11 is my fav thing right now... I go to the door with it, when someone rings just to see the look on their face.. Priceless...
  7. Tip for the movie Clone knee plates. Glue an earth magnet/or magnets to the inside of the knee plate and sew an earth magnet/ or magnets into a black pouch. Then sew the black pouch to the knee area of your undersuit. that should help the knee plate from flopping around.
  8. If you don't mind using aluminum round tube (very light weight and durable) 1.5" / 38mm OD. Then try here at Metals Depot: http://www.metalsdepot.com/products/alum2.phtml?page=rndtube&LimAcc=%20&aident= There are three different wall /ID sizes for the 1.5 / 38mm aluminum round tube. I would use the T3R112065. You will have to shave/sand down circumference a weee bit of the Doopy's E11 muzzle (the over molded part that slides into the pipe) to get it to fit/slide into the inside of the aluminum tube. But, the 38mm/1.5" OD is the correct/accurate size to the real Sterling Mk4/L2A3 SMG barrel/body. 1-1/2 OD x .065 wall x 1.37 ID - 2ft long $6.32 + S&H T3R112065 1-1/2 OD x .125 wall x 1.25 ID - 2ft long $9.14+S&H T3R112125 1-1/2 OD x .250 wall x 1.00 ID - 2ft long $17.04+S&H T3R112250
  9. Like Paul said above. The ANH Stunt and Hero CRL's state: The ā€œearā€ bars have three or four bumps and should be gray or painted gray, with a black outline. Painting the bumps with rank stripes (highlighted) in black is optional. If you going for Centurion: Ear bars shall have only one or two bumps painted in black (rank stripes). For EI, the only thing about the ear bumps is how many you should have ( the actual molded part of the ear, not the rank stripes): ANH Stunt EI: Ear bars should have four bumps only, not three. ANH Hero EI: Ear bars should have three bumps only, not four.
  10. Hey Edwin, the AM shins are not symmetrical, they have the same contour as a persons calf. This has been a common problem among AM builds, because the thought pattern is to have the molded/integrated back cover strip to face inwardly. This would be correct if the outer side of the AM shin had the molded/integrated back cover strip. Here is a diagram that I did for another member (Derek) that had done their AM build and had reversed his shins because of the thought pattern that the molded/integrated cover strip should face inward with the AM shins. It gives a persons leg a distorted look, kind of like having your shoes on the wrong foot. Also, wearing them on the wrong legs is probably uncomfortable, I would assume. Unfortunately, the member in the diagram had already attached his sniper knee plate, which meant he was going to have to remove it and patch and fill the shin, so it wouldn't have holes (he used rivets).
  11. It probably wouldn't be Disney that would be able to provide that, but more than likely it would have to come from Lucas Arts. We could possibly see if they have any still photos, "reference Photos". If this is motion capture, they had to have something to use. We can try.. Worst case scenario, they tell us to go jump in the sarlacc pit.
  12. The toy Clone Trooper voice changer helmet has been modded in to some cool CT helmets.... The Clonetroopers.net is the best place to find and look at the mod for the Hasbro Clone Trooper lids... Here the link: http://clonetroopers.net/ Also, here's some links over there of the Hasbro lid being modded: http://forum.clonetroopers.net/index.php?showtopic=13562&hl=hasbro http://forum.clonetroopers.net/index.php?showtopic=14320&hl=hasbro BTW, you will not need to sign up over there since you have a members account here, just log in with your email address or NewTrooper2 and same password.
  13. No worries, the easiest way to upload pix to this forum or any forum is to use an image host site like photobucket.com or flickr.com. Both are free to use . Once you create your account there, all you have to do is to upload you photos to your account, whether it is with photobucket or whichever image hosting site you choose. Here are a couple of diagrams to show you how to post pix here: OR: Personally, I use the IMG code and paste it into the body of the post..
  14. Hi Jeff, looks like you are off to a good start with your AM build. You just need some adjusting/tweaking here and there.(shoulder Bells and shins) but that's no biggie. Once you get the 1 inch black elastic strap that wraps around the inside of the bicep it will help hold the shoulder bells in place.. As for your Shins, I hate to tell you but you have them on the wrong leg. It is a common mistake because of the molded cover strip that is on the back, it is actually on the wrong side, which gives the builder the wrong impression of which leg it should be on. What I did was cut off the strip and attach it to the outer back part of the shin. This way the cover strip faces the proper way (to the inside of the legs). Also, the bottom return edge of the ankle area is not needed, the original armor did not have that, it is just left over from the thermoforming of shins. Plus it will help the shin to fit better.
  15. Close the blast doors to that place.... A wise man (Joey) once said (see below). Also get up with your local 501st. 17. Been trying to find some video footage of the Sky Trooper from the attraction ride at Disney (Star Tours, The Adventures Continue) that was non 3-D. The only thing that I have found is this: But from what I have gathered, this is the whole footage from the ride of the Sky Trooper. See the ambush with the Sky Troopers, Vader and the Stormtroopers start at the 1:43 minute mark of the non 3-D video below. Below is someone's recording of the 3-D version: See the ambush with Sky Troopers, Vader, and Stormtroopers. It will start at the 9:10 minute mark of the video : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TDB4tUMrPfg Since the Star Tours ride is in 3-D, there will probably never be any home footage/screen grabs from somebody on the ride, that can be used as any decent reference material. It will all come out with the double vision/blurriness, unless they film it with a 24 frame, high def camera, with the lens of the camera shooting through the 3-D glasses that they give you to use on the ride. That would be difficult to do because you have to shoot through both the left and right lens of the 3-D glasses at the same time to actually get the footage to look un-distorted. Even though the footage for the ride is done in 24 frames per second and you camera is 24 frames per second, there is still the timing issue of the overlappng of the frames,eg. you would have to have your camera timing in sequence with the Star Tours ride footage. Just a side note, doesn't Vader look like he took lessons from the Green Goblin on how to ride a glider?
  18. Hello my dear friend! Thanks for all the praise bro. I know that you, Rolf know a thing or two about doing top notch work , I seen it every time you do a build. Hopefully my next build, I will get sandy!
  19. Yeah, I saw that I was the first for the Carolina. There are two people in the Carolina Garrison that want to go for their EI. I have been working/helping them with their Builds. There are 42 Carolina Garrison members that have a TK# (41 are OT TK's, 1 is a TKC). I hope to see more in my Garrison working towards the next level above the CRL ...... and hopefully some will want to go Centurion! For a few $, and just a weeeeeee bit more work with any TK suit / kit, anyone can get to EI status.. And the same goes for Centurion level as well!!!
  20. Thanks Alex, just what I am going to do..... Thanks Mason! Love my EIB ... next up..... Centurion!
  21. Thanks Richard! I burnt out a Hobby iron doing it......
  22. Thanks Paul! Also in the first pic, I had to cover the models hands up..... He was giving the 1 figure salute.... Here's a hint 13.1 20.,20....
