  2. Lot #169 Star Wars ILM-Made Stormtrooper Appearance Costume Estimate $3,000 - $5,000 USD Starting Bid $1,000 Buyer's Premium 28% - Shipping, taxes and additional fees may apply. A complete original promotional Stormtrooper ensemble, complete with undersuit, outer parts, blaster, helmet, size 9 boots, size 11 boots, packing list, "Character Appearance User's Guide", and touring road case. This costume was one of 36 created by Industrial Light & Magic in 1995 as a promotional tool for the Fox video release of the original trilogy in that same year. As a striking marketing tool, two Stormtroopers would escort Darth Vader, who was built and assembled by Don and Anna Bies. These costumes were designed to travel around the world, fitting within their custom road cases, to promote the release at various events. This Fox video release would mark the last time that the original trilogy films were available in a non-Special Edition format. When promotional touring was complete for the 1995 project, the 36 costumes were used for a variety of purposes. This Stormtrooper ensemble eventually made its way back to the spotlight in a 1999 skit about The Phantom Menace on the Late Show with David Letterman (CBS Productions, 1995). Includes a thank you note stating "Thanks so much!!! XX Late Show" Accompanied by an unopened 1995 VHS box set of the original trilogy films in their original release format. 3. Hello! Hoping I’ve done everything right. Thank you for your time and consideration! And as always, special appreciation for @gmrhodes13 for his guidance not just for Centurion, but from the very beginning! Name: Hanson Quan 501st TK ID: 47826 FISD Forum Name: CloseTheBlastDoor Garrison: Golden Gate Mandatory Information Armor = WTF Helmet= WTF Blaster= 3D-printed myself. To summarize, they are: Helmet sits too high. This one, I can’t help. There is already no padding on the top, and I have a pointy head that is touching it as it stands. Zipper on neck seal showing. The “one size fits all” neck seal that I have is quite large for my skinny neck. I was wearing it with some velcroed overlap. Will just use the zipper and allow for some looseness. Too much border on ammo belt square buttons. Addressed. Lower shins so they bottom out above the boots. Dressing issue, fixed. Too much gap between shoulder bells and chest plate. I replaced the elastic with shorter nylon straps, and I added some shoulder pads underneath my compression suit to raise the bells a bit higher so they align with the bridges. Fixed. Gaps and alignment between abdomen and kidney plates. Fixed. Raise the right side of the ammo belt. Dressing issue, fixed. Reduce the circumference of forearms to match my arm size. Done. Reduce the circumference of shins to match my calves. Done. 4. This week I spent way too much time focused on snaps lol. Special thanks to @gmrhodes13 for the continued encouragement and tips. I ended up purchasing all new snaps (Dritz) and nylon. After using the Dritz snaps I realized my initial purchase (random bundle from Amazon) were not very high quality. Same for the nylon I initially used, which was probably less than 1mm thick. I purchased new nylon on Amazon that was billed as 2mm thick, and that coupled with the Dritz snaps really did the trick! You can see a photo below for reference that my initial snaps were just too big for the thinner nylon, thus resulting in overlap and bad snaps. Tough lesson to learn, but I ended up redoing ALL of my snaps this weekend but totally worth it. Everything feels so much more secure now! In addition to redoing all of my snaps to date, I also used snaps/elastic to close the back of the abdominal barrel (not pictured). It's actually snug enough now I'm not even sure I need the suspenders - but I'm still using them for now. I also trimmed and strapped the cod and posterior pieces. I'm using elastic with snaps on the top (to the abdomen barrel) and velcro on the bottom (cod and posterior). Thanks for following!

  7. Hi Justin, and thank you for your EIB application! CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All required photos have been submitted, and on behalf of the entire D.O. staff we are pleased to welcome you to the rank of Expert Infantry. Congratulations! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly; In this area we review observations made by your fellow troopers and the DO team. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor, and please keep in mind that we consider both text (CRL) and pictures (screen caps/reference images) when reviewing submissions. There are just a couple of dressing issues to watch when knitting up. Posterior Armor Your Posterior armor plate is tilting upward in the front. This is likely a dressing issue and care should be taken to ensure that it is sitting straight. References Belt Your belt is sitting a bit low on the right side. Again, this is a dressing issue and should be an easy fix. References *************************************************** Centurion Requirements: In this section we prepare you for our highest tier of approval. Because Centurion photos must show more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Level 3 might be seen there and not here and additional photos may be required. We try to point out all that we can from what we are able to clearly see, but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. For Centurion Approval, we will need to to switch your gaskets to rubber ones. CRL L3: Gaskets shall be made of rubber. Fabric gaskets are not acceptable. References F-11D Blaster Your blaster is missing the pitcanny rail on the right side of the barrel. CRL L3: Blaster must have a picatinny rail on the right side of barrel References

  9. This large ABS pull includes the typical ANH ab plate, belt buttons that need to be trimmed out, and additional pieces for alternate builds. Some armor builders include extra items that are needed for sandtrooper builds or even ANH-Hero ears for the bucket.

  11. Congrats on the submission, the photos and look of the armor are definitely quality! The belt being off ever so slightly, enough to halt the approval? I'm still new at this but keeping notes too when I eventually submit. I hope it can be overseen and approved given the remaining fit and look is impeccable. All the best and job well done man!
