  1. Hi there I'm Sam from the UK. Recently had my TK cleared by the UKG. Not managed to get to an induction Troop yet but thought I should at least join up on here!

  2. Hey everyone, I've been slowly making progress on my first build I'm trying to join the 501st with. Since it's my first build I'm focusing more on base approval rather than aiming for lvl 3 certification. I have the pauldron from Trooperbay, the new era undersuit, gloves, neck seal, and boots from KeepTrooping, and a Rogue One TK armor kit from 850 Armorworks. I 3D printed and begun sanding the munitions pack (files by Oxprops over on E̶t̶s̶y̶ Cults3D). I've also been modifying a black series helmet. So far I've assembled and fitted the 850 AW kit, and I've begun sanding it. I've made a decent amount of progress on the black series helmet. I've extended the jawline, lowered the brow, cut out the blue vents, cut out the grey side and back vents and replaced it with 3D printed parts used in Oddvikings Black Series build thread, and I've painted the front part (although the grey teeth and side details need to get repainted). At the moment I'm sort of on the fence if I overdid the weathering on the front yellow details. Comparing it to the CRL it looks like it's a little more than the CRL model, but comparing it to other reference images it seems to be a closer amount, albeit in different places. Which also leads me to another question. Should I be trying to replicate the exact chipping found in reference images, or is it fine if it's different as long as it's the same level/amount of weathering done? I'll make sure to add to this build thread with more photos as I make more progress through the next few weeks

  3. Hello fellow troopers! My name is Brett TB-48222, I hail from Norman, Oklahoma in the United States. This is my first post in forum and currently I am working on an Imperial Shock Trooper. I am currently a pathfinder with a ROTJ Biker Scout outfit and I'm finally making my way to this side of the Empire and am hopeful to getting to know all of you! I am still in the pre-approval stage, haven't submitted any photos yet as I do not have any ones of good quality, but will be making a pre-approval post here as soon as possible! Thank you for you all taking the time to read my post and again, I am looking forward to meeting you all! Pic is what I have so far, as you can see, far from finished and a work in progress.

  5. Just my own humble opinion, but I think for weathering, more is MORE. I don't feel like it's a case of "less is more" until you get quite far with it. I think more chipping shows more experience and like your trooper has lived more life. As long as it's still a stripe, I say weather it as much as you want. Or as little as you want. Weathering is beautiful. The more the better.

  9. Velcro works well for me, you just have to make sure the shins close fully, may need a little heat to get them sitting flush.
