  1. Hello, I’m Alex from Luxembourg and I’m 33 years old. I’m a huge fan of Star Wars since a long time. I discovered the 501 last year and i quickly started to work on an armor to get access. So I recently finished and validated my first armor of Captain Rex phase 2 (all 3D print). https://www.501st.com/members/displaymember.php?userID=35917&costumeID=482 Currently I work in parallel on the armor of Hunter season 1 bad batch in 3D printing. The stormtrooper has always occupied my thoughts and by discussing/seeing the club members I decided to order one. I listened to their advice and ordered on RS prop master ANH Stunt (diy kit + finished helmet). I’m really looking forward to starting work and I’m sure I’ll find a lot of information and help on the forum. thanks!

  5. Well, as Glen rightly says, it's up to you. You can wait until you have the rest of the pieces and see how it looks. You can trim it then.(if necessary.)

  6. I found with the Han snap it’s more visual placement than exact measurement that being said based on your measurements I’d say try 10mm x 10mm and see where that dot lands Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  7. Hi Jonathan. I would move the Han snap a little bit more towards the edge. The other rivet, looks good to me.

  8. Entirely up to you, really depends how they sit over your biceps, some trim completely so it allows the shoulder to come inwards a little more

When your BBB ( Big brown box) arrives, pleas don't forget to make a build thread, ask plenty of questions and of course we love photos. Looking forward to your build

  12. Based on the reference photos, I adjusted the placement of the Han snap to approximately 15 mm over and down: Additionally, I measured 20 mm from the front of the crotch for the snap to connect to the posterior: Do these measurement look close?

  13. New section now open Happy Friday or Saturday where ever you live in this world, We have a new costume coming to FISD, which no doubt will surprise a few, but we are officially the new home for the Imperial Commando's from The Mandalorian. Currently we are building a new section of the forums for this costume which will house build threads and the usual research and discussions that surround costumes. Stay tuned as this should be open over the next couple of days

  15. Pretty much the same as I do, just cut the scrap abs when it gets a little dull. A wet rage worked well for me. Like anything you learn with doing and we all go through it

  16. Why is Empire Strikes Back considered one of, if not the best, Star Wars film? "I felt I needed humor in the picture, and yet I couldn't have gags. I felt I needed a love story, and yet I couldn't have a lot of smooching and kissing and all that stuff. And it had to be implied". -- Irvin Kershner https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SVlXXwCIUiQ

  17. Thank you for sharing this was interesting to see the process instead of just assuming things. I do wish in the future this was more open to debate from the general troopers, though I suppose that would add to the length of time. In all honesty you could say Sith troopers also act more like stormtroopers as well, don't know if I really understand that logic but a debate for another day. I'm still bitter about shoretrooper and mountain trooper, though Pathfinders made the mountain trooper happen so in hindsight I can't be mad about that. I just want to be spec ops bad to hang with my friends and buy cool merch. But I suppose merch is pretty much nothing nowadays anyways so who cares.

  18. Somewhere out there, a @Deployment Officer Team member is having an aneurysm and drawing colored lines on their screen... Fun idea though, impressed with the creativity and execution.

  19. Hi Steve! It's very cool to see a fully-printed ROTK out in the wild! To answer your question, since pre-approval isn't part of any formal process, there's no specific time-table on response time. Essentially, you're posting your build for others to comment on with feedback. At the end of the day, your local GML (Garrison Membership Liaison) will be the one to give final basic approval, so you could also consider sharing this post or your photos with them for initial comments.
