  1. blast shield affixed, I think I’m going to go over the mud with more white since I might’ve added too much mud lol. I might use some grey too, looks a little bit too brown

  2. Well. I’m about to undertake building my TK armor. I have found the threads here extremely helpful. I need a helmet as I only have an Fx one for now. I’ll keep you posted

  3. I added a little bit of white on the torso areas, but didn’t like it much and covered it back up with the color of the 3rd coat. Then I roughly and quickly did the whole armor in that color. The difference isn’t much but I think I’m happy with it now, just gotta do that all to the helmet

  4. Thanks so much for getting back to me! I really do appreciate it. I'm certainly gonna do everything I can to make this kit hard, and based off that thread you attached with the 6' MTK, it doesn't seem like it should be an issue. If it is however, I've heard that RWA offers long shins and thighs. Only problem there is matching the plastic colors. We shall see. Ill be documenting all of this in a build thread.

  5. It's a piece of nylon strapping. I *know* I have some non-sticky velcro around here somewhere but couldn't find it. Still, basically anything that doesn't stretch is what's needed for this mod. It's just shoring up half the elastic to keep it from stretching, yet still allowing flex. And I didn't get the TD. None of the vendors I reached out to replied... alas. But I'm happy with my magnet hinged one. My elastic is indeed doubled over and the center snaps are already front-justified. They could probably be more toward the front, but I've never been unhappy with how my shoulder bells hung. This mod was only about keeping the elastic from peeking out under the shoulder bridge. And they're comfortable, hold their position, and have performed flawlessly for almost 20 troops now. You built good straps. Now they're just ever so slightly improved.

  6. Does look like the reference has a little less grey in some areas but really it's a personal choice how much weathering is too much. Great work getting the helmet shield that curved, just note it does look a slightly different white, I guess not too much of an issue with weathering going over the top

  7. I hope nobody minds me reviving this thread (though I suppose it's always good to remind builders about illegitimate products), but Joseph, your two-year old comment just made my day. The fact that you talked with a company chemist and package designer, and that they're aware of this community's use of E-6000.

  8. Matt, Welcome aboard. I recently started grabbing stuff for a ESB Vader build, so I know where to go to when I run into issues. Lol. Sounds like you have a plan, so that's awesome. You'll find incredible help here as well as tons of guys in SoCal who will gladly help you on your way. We're definitely glad to have you here.

  9. Plastidipped the blast shield, gotta fill the seams a bit better And my mom found a sheet I can use for the cape, she’s gonna cut, dye and sew it for me. Thanks mom!

  11. I'm back Honestly, I don't blame anyone for not voting in the CRL Polls. If you aren't sure about the armor details, there's no need to vote on them. Is being known for memes better than being known as the one trooper who invites everyone to play limbo in armor? Asking for a friend

  13. Coat two so for I think it could be a little lighter with a tint of a bit more green to match reference, but looks very much like mud lol

  14. Nice man! Speaking of, I’ve been modding the armor into a Mimban stormtrooper For the mud effects I simply dabbed and slapped the grey paint on with a paper towel. I’ll be going over it again with a darker color. These guys were seriously muddy in the movie lol. For the forehead piece what I did was cover the helmet dome in foil, then add slits so I could flatten it to create the template. I used two layers of thin foam for the brow cause the first layer I wrapped around the bottom of the forehead. Making it look uneven. Still gotta add the little details on the side of the forehead and clean it up. Gotta figure something out for the cloak as well.
