Hi everyone, My name is Tim and today I proudly became part of the 501st Legion with the UK Garrison. Like many, my story starts in my childhood when I first saw A New Hope and so began my fascination with the Stormtrooper. For a lifetime I’ve been obsessed with the helmet and always wanted one but it wasn’t until I read Anthony Daniels book, ‘I am C-3PO’, where he referenced the 501st. Learning there was a community of like-minded people, all over the world, with the same passion and enthusiasm for such an iconic movie character, I knew I had to join. Well now, that day as arrived. My journey… One positive out of the pandemic has been my ability to save money. Whilst I did this, FISD has been crucial to my research and I’m really glad I took the time to do this so I was confident that I was making the right choice for me. I made the decision to have a commission-build with RS Prop Masters. For me, I just don’t have the confidence to do the work myself so this was the ideal option. On top of that, their direct linage to an original suit, their attention to detail to create a screen accurate replica, warts and all, was a no brainier for me. They truly are world class in my opinion and I’d recommend them to anyone. Special thanks… I’ve had a lot of really valuable advice and suggestions here on this forum but I must thank gmrhodes13 whose regularly responded to my many questions. I would also like to thank Rich330 a.k.a. Richie Stormtrooper (on YouTube). It was his videos that introduced this site, gave advice on where to buy good quality armour (and where not to buy). There are a lot more people so if I’ve missed you out, don’t be offended. I can’t tell you how much of a dream come true this is. I look at myself in the mirror, with the full armour on and it’s the most fantastic feeling. I’m a Stormtrooper. A real one and I cannot wait to get out there trooping. Thanks for the photos, Jacob! I have some good news/bad news, but nothing to worry about. The teeth came out spectacular, and the ab/kidney rivets are good to go, but unfortunately the lighting on the screws on your TD is a too dark. I'm sure they are fine, but can you post up one last really close up photo of them? Once that is done we can get going and get that badge under your name!1 point

Small Update here Not many know that I had a depression 3 - 4 years ago, which ultimately resulted in gaining approx. 40kg from 90 - 130. Everyone who worked on the Anovos FOTK armor knows, that they are made for thinner people. Thats why I sold my FOTK back in 2016 or so. But: Talking to professionals and changing some mindsets really helped and you cannot imagine the happiness I felt, when I tried the armor on again. Yes, I built that armor on purpose by not fitting it to my proportions. Because I knew I once fitted in there. So.. yea Whats next: I'm still waiting for the detonator. The black FO TK boots as well as gloves are ordered from Imperial Boots. Once I get them, I get the boots 3d scanned to get the boot plates modeled so that they fit perfectly. Then painting the armor gloss black and then gold chroming1 point

Hi Richard, and thank you for your application for ESB Expert Infantry! CRL and EIB Application Requirements All required photos are now in and, after review, we are pleased to welcome you to EI! On behalf of the entire DO staff, congratulations!! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly In this area we review observations made by your fellow troopers and the DO team. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. Note that we consider both text (CRL) and pictures (screen caps/reference images) when reviewing submissions. First, SUPER nice job on this build, brother! I can tell that you are proud of this armor, and so you should be. Being a taller trooper, you really made it work, so kudos for that! Just a few items here that we feel could make it look even better. Not a deal breaker by any means, but your helmet is sitting a bit high. If you have any padding in the top, we are suggesting that you remove it to lower it. Note the height in the reference images. Reference image Reference image You got the corners squared off nicely on your small ab-button plate, but it could stand to come in a bit to where a little more of the raised base it sits on is seen. Reference images Just a quick dressing issue here... Your left calf is perfectly placed but the cover strip on the right one is a tad askew. In a perfect world the bottom of the seam should line up with the center of the heel. Reference images The boot style is perfect, but they seem to have a high gloss. Although that sheen matches the shininess of the armor, the originals were hand painted, so perhaps you could take it down to a matte (or even semi-gloss) finish. Reference images Centurion Requirements In this section we prepare you for Centurion. More photos may be requested in the future that allow us to make better decisions on possible adjustments. If there are any areas of concern they will be discussed here. Because Centurion photos show much more detail than EIB, items to pertaining to Centurion might be seen there and not here. We try to point out all that we can from what is seen, but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. As you are aware, we get a bit more precise for Level 3. Although not specifically mentioned in the CRL, the items below need to be fixed so that we can get that Centurion badge under you name! Quickest fix ever here: The brow trim is extending past the rear of the trap. As seen in the ESB reference photos, it sits WAY in front. I personally believe that since these were pretty much all recycled ANH buckets that the rubber shrank over the years. I honestly wouldn't take it back that far, but a quick trim will get you where you need to be. Reference images In looking at the ab button plates and frown, it's obvious that you have some mad paint skills, Richard! We are asking that you use them to tighten up a few areas- The lines around the ear bumps are a lot thicker than we like to see. The top of the one in the second pic shows exactly how the should ideally be. Reference images Last up, the silver weathering on your blaster is nice, but we are requesting that you add a few touch-ups of black in some areas. As seen in the highlighted areas, the paint has worn off and/or the rubber is showing through. EASY fix!!! Reference images And that's it! Again, a superb job on this armor, and with just a few issues to address we have faith that we will be seeing your Centurion submission soon. Well Done!1 point

…been a busy week, but hoping to take advantage of a mid-week weekend and finally get suited up for the most preliminary of full-on fittings to see how it looks and what alterations I’ll need to make… For now though, just touching up the armor rivets with a little paint…1 point

knee plate came out pretty decent, finishing up the accessories to the legs… now just to add closure fasteners to the back…. spent the morning fitting the shoulders and biceps with snaps and elastic strapping…1 point
