  1. So that high-profile troop happened. My first outing in my Hero kit, and things went along flawlessly! Before rehearsal, backstage with the FISD's very own Scimitar and LTM! Rehearsal with the troops! Rebel scum spotted!!! After rehearsal, we were allowed to go out and mingle incognito among the Imperial Citizens until it was time to kit up. My "Dead Trooper Arm" was spotted! Final rehearsals (and I'm not the shortest trooper, just standing next to her). Lining up right before going on stage. That's Scimitar rocking out in the back. Waiting in the wings! On stage with Weird Al!!! Can you spot me? I'm the one with the comm link on my belt. Post-performance elation!!! Then Weird Al took pics with us. Supreme Nerd Leader!!! Yeah!!! I was fangirling out in a major way. Aside from finally completing this Hero kit, this will be the highlight of my year for sure!!!

  2. ALRIGHT FOLKS! Took me a hot second but found some nice Nike "under armor" and it really helped bring those shoulder bells closer to my chest. Also took care of the major oversight of those shoulder bridges.

  3. I 'm already a member, so it should just be a matter of adding the TK, shouldn't it? I know - the paint on the helmet is ... well. The vocoder was overpainted by the original owner, so these pictures are after cleaning in up. All of the stickers were crooked, and the CRL didn't allow them at Centurion then, so everything was removed. So I used the Trooperbay templates for an AM helmet, which I was told this was ... Everything will get cleaned up, as best as I can, but I'll take basic approval for now.

  7. Looks a LOT better, Gilbert! For basic approval, although it looks cool you can't have any attachments to the pack As per the CRL for basic: Backpack must be styled after and closely matches the backpack seen in the Battlefront series as seen in reference photos. No video monitors, extra greeblies. lights of any sort or attachments not seen in photos can be visible This includes weapons and the antenna.

  8. Update: Oh happy days!!! I finally received my brackets from Mrnostripes. There was a minor shipping issue with USPS which delayed things slightly. A good thing to note is that the small plain nuts pictured on his website and some threads have been replaced by lock nuts. No need to buy them yourself or use lock washers. Excellent idea! Lots of little things done tonight. Sniper Plate: Removed plate from left shin and filled screw holes. Still need to sand them smooth I compared my sniper plate to one ukswraths showed in his two builds. I noted mine has a different side profile where it sweeps up to the top point. The side arms are taller and they are more rounded in the top curve and at the ends (near the old screw hole). Not sure if this is an issue? I also noted the sniper plate "arms", the parts that wrap around the top of the shin, are longer. In his build on the left side they measure about 3/4" from the little square bumps to the end. Mine is about 2 1/4" Removed original snap from cod and posterior pieces. The snaps were on little ABS plates that were easy to pop off. I may keep these to use elsewhere. I may have about 8 or 10 when I'm done removing them from the rest of the armor. I also noticed SDS added an additional reinforcement piece of ABS in the cod area. It is molded perfectly in the cod area. Reinforcement plate Cod snap Easy peasy... Split rivet and original strap installed Posterior had one plate / snap Two s-snaps installed. The sharp corners were rounded slightly If you compare the following ab and kidney pics with my original photos at the start of thread, you'll note there were several strips of hook Velcro stuck on the inside. These were a PAIN to pull off. Very strong stuff. The Velcro is okay to use for wearing, but I'm not sure why SDS decided to use the hook on the armor instead of the softer pile. The hook constantly snags and pulls on the undersuit. All of it will be removed going forward. There are two snap plates on the inside that were removed. I was going to leave them but they interfered with the belt snaps. These original snaps are used to attach the ab armor to the thigh armor. I will be using the original film method of a belt / garter system. Not sure if I'll keep the top suspenders or not. Probably won't need it. Ab armor. Velcro removed and holes drilled for split rivets This is the Velcro glue residue. I will do a test of Googone (awesome product to remove sticky residue) on a small spot. It shouldn't react with the ABS, but you never know. Belt snap added and rivet holes drilled Right side belt snap and top snap Cover strips cut from the original SDS wrap around belt. Once I got the hang of it they are easy to do. The rest of the strips should be even quicker to do. I've also glued on the first cover strips on the left forearm. The magnets are a little big, but they were the smallest I could find. That's it for tonight! Happy Canada day (belated) and 4th of July everyone!

  10. 1- I haven't used Imgur to upload photos, I used Google Photos, but I think it wuold be because the photos are collage? I'm not sure. 2- I Would recommend to waut to the D.O. team to ask you if they prefer updeted individual photos. 3- As I can see the photos quality is ok, but I'm not the D.O. 4- A little patientce is needed for the D.O team can start the review, remember thay are volunteers and have work and family. But I'm sure they wont forget you. 5- I shuold suggest for one more photo, as the CRL says. Two male snaps are present on the lower center tab of the Posterior Armor. Snaps do not need to be functional. Snaps are silver in color with the bottom of the snap facing outward and are not painted. I thik I did'nt see a photo of this part, mainly for the silver color of the snaps. please check this up. Good Luck, I'm sure you're going to get Centurion fast.

  11. The cover strips are standard measurements for all Stormtroopers of your size. Here are so references. Remember no return edges on forearms at wrists. Good luck with your build and be patient, ask plenty of questions before moving forward. I didn't move forward until I built up confidence. You will be just fine with all the people who will help and guide you. I also used heavily Ukswrath Anovos build thread. He would be rich if he got paid 5 cents for everytime I opened up he thread Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
