  1. I’m just going to offer a couple of thoughts Can you afford to lose 1600AUD? Can you save up another 200 or so? Will this project cause you financial hardship in the near few years if you follow through? If so maybe complete your education first. We’ll be here when you’re done. Many of us have done exactly this, waited and come back later. This isn’t a cheap project and I suspect most of us spent more than was both budgeted and expected. Finally consider this: I can be really nice to you too if you’re about to give me a sack full of money.

  2. Lol, thank Dan. I actually saw the tube stripe post a week ago and had to chuckle when I heard you were the “tube stripe police”. It is the main reason I ordered the template instead of even thinking about putting on the ones that came with the bucket. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  3. Almost finished with my bucket. The tubestripes don’t look hand painted so I have Trooperbay stencils coming

  5. Imperial Boots periodically you could fill out the support request to find out when they will next open up ordering https://www.imperialboots.com/support/ The other supplier was TK Boots but they are no longer making them. Also check out the Ongoing and Private sales area occasionally you can find items there. You may also want to have a read through Joseph's supply list which pretty well covers what you may require for your build https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/31404-supply-list-for-your-tk-build/

  6. Lid work. No ears. Can you hear me now? Ear! Loook, it's like my hubby's lid and my lid are cuddling. Awwww.... And me prepping for tomorrow's troop. I love sticker-ing up the bin! And bringing my spankin' new Praetorian DLT-19 along with! (Thanks, Mr. Cricket! {best hubbie EVAH!}) Maybe I'll let him borrow it trooping one day.

  7. You get what you pay for, this isn't a cheap hobby, wouldn't hurt to reach out to some troopers close to you and see the difference in armor makes. Just don't make a rash decision, do some research, look through the vetted sellers, take a look also at build threads of particular armor (you can find their names at the top of build threads) It's great to be excited and want to get into this hobby as soon as you can BUT many find out the hard way that they should have taken their time with research, it's the most important part. But like others have said it's your money

  13. Nice work, it does look like your ab may be a little angled, perhaps you could tighten strapping on that side or loosen the other side to adjust.

  14. Zeddy, page 4 of my build has a respectable paint guide. As for glossy vs flat. Everything white is glossy, all the details on the ab plate and sides are glossy. The grey on the TD and helmet is flat. the black brow is flat and the neck seal ring is flat. I shot my entire helmet then applied a gloss to everything but the brow and neck. Then i went back and sanded the grey stuff to make it flat.
