Hey Daniel, thanks for you patience and your EIB application. Let's do this. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All the required submission photos have been posted. Absolutely beautiful armor build and it fits you perfectly. That being said, Andrew and myself are happy to announce your armor displays and the required components for L2. Welcome to Expert Infantry . Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. The goal of this section is to improve to overall look of the armor. Any suggestions mentioned here are ultimately up to you the applicant to fix. Good news we only have two minor areas to mention here, both of them regarding the helmet. First is the Vcoder paint lines could be more defined, though not bad yours appear to be a bit soft. Below your photo is a canon reference photo we've provided to compare. Reference photo Lastly and this could be a simple photo issue, but the inner base section of the hovi tip is to be white. Reference photo Centurion Suggestions:In this section we prepare you for Centurion. If there were any areas of concern they would be discussed here. Good news we have nothing to add at this time. That's it, great job on your armor. Time to get out there and make the Empire proud and hope to see you at Centurion.2 points

It's important to remember that costume designators are really more of a costume grouping and are only created when there is a gap. For instance BH is Bounty Hunters, and even though Mandalorian Warriors aren't bounty hunters, since the armor is the same they all end up getting a BH anyway. In earlier days of the Legion it was easier to get new costume designators created, but it became abused (RP anyone?) and now the bar is really high. Lastly, the books are written by people who just make stuff up. Look at TK-421. Probably more than 1000 stormtroopers in the Legion, so they can't all be TK-something. Finn is FN and the presumption is that the two letter designator is more a unit designator. If we really followed the books, people could in theory just make up whatever two letter designator they wanted and still be a stormtrooper. While this makes interesting fiction, it's too unwieldy for a real-world costuming club.2 points

Looking to get some specs on the TLJ Laser Ax? I figured starting a thread where whoever wants to input can do it here. Everything about the Ax is up for discussion. Post away1 point

Looking great. How are the back of the thighs? Looks like a bit more could be trimmed for clearance at the but plate if its rubbing. The sides of your chest plate look to flare out a lot. You could hot water bend these inward for a more form fitting look. Probably not necessary but its an option. A few pieces of foam in your shin can help with the twisting. Overall I thinks its really looking good. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk1 point

The return edge around the arms has now been reduced. The plastazote back and front has been glued into place. The back armour connects under the arm to the chest with velcro in a similar fashion to the screen used suits. The ammo pouch hangs in the correct position from the slider buckle fastened to the rear right suspender.1 point

Before: After: A bit of the creases are showing but not bad. Took 4 coats. Should be good for protecting me from Ewoks.1 point

Yeah, if you follow the books (and even the movie) the First Order Stormtrooper prefixes are all over the place. While the preponderance of them are FN, you also see FO, TK, JB, and others that I'm not remembering right now depending on which unit they were assigned to. For consistency's sake and to allow for smoother management at the Legion level, best to stick with a single prefix. Since we are stormtroopers, "TK" seems to work the best and it makes clear that we are part of the FISD.1 point

Posting here as well as in @ukswrath's build thread (as I feel it's the gold standard tutorial on first-rate First Order construction)... Sharing some resources I've found in my accumulating of materials. For the 2" by ¼" neoprene for the belt insert, I found it by the foot on the famous auction site. Four feet plus shipping comes to less than US$9. Half the price of the chunk you found on Amazon, and some of us don't have the space for a whole lot of leftovers, no matter how potentially useful they may be down the road. Instead of elastic cord for the crotch connector and shoulder tie-downs, I found a 10-foot spool of 3/32" EPDM rubber cord. About five bucks, and fits the rubbery theme of the black portions of the armor, IMO. Hope these are helpful. --Jonah1 point

I am still breaking down the kit. Adding and removing grime from here and there. Hopefully it is looking more convincing as it progresses. Regarding the screen used suits it is interesting how the weathering pops in some lighting and looks more washed out in other shots. I am trying to find the right balance with the dirt and marks on the armour. It is a fine balance between heavy handed and not enough however these coastal defender stormtroopers are dirty buggers.1 point
